About this property

"La Maison du Boulanger", Château de Fontenay, 17 Ha Park with Swimming Pool and

Your cottage "La Maison du Boulanger" (for 5 to 8 people), is located in a private domain of 17 hectares of green spaces and forest and 15 hectares of vines.

You will take beautiful walks in our park and take advantage of our large heated swimming pool, tennis court, bicycles at your disposal to discover the region (the Château de Chenonceau is 7 km by the edges of Cher, Amboise at 10 km by cycle paths). All the other castles are less than 45 minutes by car.

You will spend a relaxing holiday in a fully renovated house offering all modern comforts in a historic environment.

Two other gîtes: "La Closerie" (for 4 to 6 people) and "Le Jardin" (for 4 to 6 people), also located in our park, can offer the possibility of spending holidays with family and / or friends.

Each cottage has a kitchen with dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV, CD-DVD player, WIRELESS...

Each cottage has its own space, BBQ, parasol, table and outdoor chairs.

Wine property, we offer the discovery of our vineyards, winery, and the tasting of our wines.

VISITS: the gîte is ideally located for exploring the region, near the Chateaux of Chenonceau, Amboise, Loches, Le Clos Lucé (Léonard De Vinci), and all the others including the remarkable gardens of Touraine (Chaumont sur Loire, Villandry, etc.) .

Fontenay Stay

Loved this place. We had everything we needed, great location, rode the bikes along the river and to town, enjoyed the beautiful pool, walked the woods and the vineyards, drank the owners wine, relaxed in our rustic little Bakers House on the estate, we would definitely return. Nathalie our host was fabulous and super helpful and friendly. Would love to have stayed longer.

Château paradise

We had an amazing time at the Fontenay castle estate. We had two kids (2 and 7) and my father with us. We found La Maison du Boulanger perfectly comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The ground itself is quite large with many things to do and explore. We particularly enjoyed the tennis court and the bikes they provided. The hosts are generous and warm. Thank you for everything.

Lovely Loire Gite

We stayed here for a week in August with my young family and my inlaws. The Gite is in the grounds of private chateau. It was a very nice pool (with shallow end) and well kept tennis court. The Gite is on the edge of the grounds and so it feels private. The estate itself is very quite and peaceful, The small town of Blere is close by which has a good butcher, a couple of good bakers as well as small and large supermarkets. We found it to be a good base to explore the Chateauxs of Loire (Loche, Amboise and Chenonceau all within 30 minutes) and Tours is not that far either! The estate also produces its own very drinkable wine and the owners are happy to provide tastings and are very informative about the local viticulture. We would highly recommend this Gite.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Wir waren im Ferienhaus Boulangerie. Direkt am Château mit wunderschönen Spaziergängen und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten zu den berühmtesten Schlössern. Nur der Außenbereich hätte bequemer sein können. Ansonsten alles perfekt!
