"Joe's", The Corner house, (Main Street/North Road)in the village of Shanagarry, has recently been renovated to a very high standard, providing the comforts of modern living, whilst retaining it's traditional feel. The house can sleep up to 4 people.

The two storey stone house is well equipped; gas central heating and wood burner in the living room. It has its own private garden/court yard. The house comprises of a large living room with wood burner, television and WiFi.
The kitchen diner, opens onto the enclosed court yard. The kitchen has a washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer.

There is a downstairs toilet and two en-suite bedrooms on the second floor. Bed linen and towels provided.

Shanagarry, (An Seangharrai) meaning old garden has links to William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania state.
The village has a grocery store with petrol. Village pub. Kilkenny design centre and cafe. Darina Allen's Ballymaloe Cookery School and gardens (2 minutes). Ballymaloe House, craft shop and cafe (5 minutes). Two minute drive is Stephen Pearce pottery.

Nearest sandy beach- Shanagarry beach ideal for swimming, angling and is a paradise for bird watchers. (3 min drive)

Great location, lovely house.

We stayed for a week over Christmas and our journey to Ireland was impacted by the weather but communication with Bree & Maura was excellent and they were very accommodating. The house is a perfect location for exploring East Cork. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable and cozy and the log burner was great to have. Thank you Bree & Maura also for the wine and lovely fresh bread from Ballymaloe cookery school!

Just Lovely!

This home is very well cared for. Clean and tidy and just welcoming and warm. It is right on the corner of 2 roads, but that just didn’t bother us as there is plenty of back garden to relax in. Maura is a delight to deal with and took care of our every need. The pub is only 1 door down and Kilkenny craft store with coffee shop across the street. Highly recommend this beautiful house.
