We had a great stay it is just 3-4 Min drive and your in downtown. But it seems like your out in the country at the property we had deer and rabbits outside in the evenings really relaxing
The location is ideal for anyone who has outdoor plans (biking in the mountains for us) as well as anybody that are doing activities in Boulder (CU football/shopping for us) It was a “5 minute away oasis” from a busy downtown with patios, hammocks, and beautiful trees surrounding the property.
This is a unique property with tons of charm. The owner was a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful week. We look forward to staying here again.

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. You had requested additional supplies (pot holders, towels) for the property that we shipped to you the next day. When we inspected the property after your stay we noticed that you had not received or unpacked them. However, future visitors will benifit from them.
We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful retreat in Boulder. Nestled in nature, the property offered the quiet and calm we were hoping for, with Pearl Street being a close drive. Waking up to the sound of birds and fresh mountain air was a dream. Highly recommend for anyone wanting the best of both worlds—serenity and convenience. The host was very accommodating as well. We will definitely be back.

We're so glad you you enjoyed the best of both worlds that our alpine cabin has to offer. would welcome you as guests to the BoulderHaus Cabin any time!
The house is good except that we really did not enjoy all the bugs we found indoors. Host tried to get us some remediation and we continued vacuuming them up. Suggest that someone check on this immediately before guest arrival.

We were in the property just prior to this guests arrival and it was in perfect shape. We have a professional pest control company that performs regular service on the house and this is rarely an issue. However, it was unfortunate. While box elder beetles are harmless they are a nuisance and we do everything possible to remediate them.
Our check-in instructions specifically ask that you check the property upon arrival so we can remediate issues like this at the beginning of your stay.
In this instance, as soon as we were made aware of the issue, we sent our pest control company to the property to make an immediate treatment to knock them down and have since done another to insure we are good for the season. we offered to send housekeeping to clean up whatever else remained however, they chose not to accept the offer of service.
We are available 7/24 to our guest and have a full staff of housekeeping, groundskeeping, maintenance and management to cater to any needs of our guests.
Nice and quiet. Convenient to town. Washer did not work

We are very sorry the guest was unable to operate the washer. it is a relatively new and modern front loader LG system. We checked it and it does work perfectly. However, it will not operate if the door is not completely closed. as always we have a support person on call who can help resolve issues over the phone or deploy a resource to the property that will resolve the issue. We were never contacted regarding this issue during the guests stay.
Beautiful location, amazing mountain view’s from the living room, plenary of space. We felt like we were staying in nature but so easy to get to all the attractions of downtown Boulder.
We absolutely loved Larry’s place in Boulder Mountains! Everything was as advertised and even better! The home slept 7 of us perfectly and everyone was comfortable. The setting, streams, hiking and short distance to downtown Boulder for our daughter’s graduation was ideal! We would love to stay here again!
A beautiful location for spending time in Boulder and the beautiful mountains and hiking trails! The house is large, fun and funky. The best activities are just sitting on the patio to enjoy the view or hiking right out the door.
Beautiful home in Boulder Canyon. 4 generations of family members enjoyed a Christmas week in this home. Interesting layout allowed family to spread out and do their own thing. Hot tub is large. Views from hot tub and home in general are glorious!Mornings on the front deck with coffee were wonderful as we enjoyed the views & sounds of Boulder Creek babbling by. We enjoyed our easy trips into Downtown Boulder! The location of this home is perfect!
We had an amazing stay at Boulderhaus. Larry couldn’t have been better to work with the whole stay. The place is special. Awesome mountain house but super close to downtown. We stayed during dead and company final tour weekend and couldn’t have had a better time here. Would recommend this place over staying anywhere in the city.
It was very family-friendly and used by ALL of us ages 2-66! The kids loved seeing the wildlife, nice to have all the rooms/decks to spread out our crew of 8! Loved the hot tub and the seclusion also. Highly recommended to everyone!
Great house with tons of space for our family of 4 just minutes from downtown Boulder. We enjoyed being remote in the woods (we loved watching the rabbits, chipmunks, birds) and being in nature and at the same time being able to easily go into town or get on a trail. Great communication with the host.
This was the perfect property for our family members from 4 states to celebrate Thanksgiving. The host was always available to address any questions or concerns promptly. Unlike previous VRBOs we have stayed in, this house is well supplied with all needs. The hot tub was definitely appreciated, as was the foosball table. If we gather again in Colorado the whole family votes for this property.

Why they chose this property
Unique Craftsman home built into a south-facing hillside of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just west of downtown boulder. Perfect blend of an Alpine Environment while very close to town. Walk out hiking biking and fly fishing. Great place to entertain as well as raise our child.
What makes this property unique
When I purchased this house I took an old friend from Taiwan with me to look at the property. He explained that i must buy the property as it has the "feng shui" of an emperor. The south facing aspect and flanking hills with the water in front below and wooded hills at your back it is the perfect place.
