This property was built by my grandparents in the 1950's. Newly renovated, the Sunday House is impeccably appointed. The hardwood floors and wonderfully, warm and welcoming furnishings only add to its charm and appeal. A beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances just might make you want to cook up something delicious!

We enjoyed our stay in this adorable cottage. Although I never mind "doing my part" upon checkout of a VRBO, I really loved just gathering my things and leaving the rest to the host. We have stayed at a lot of houses, and this was one of the best. Really high quality finishes, comfy beds and great shower. Renovation was done very well. There was one really minor issue with an iron, and the owner immediately provided a brand new replacement. Everything was top quality!

Diamond in the rough

The Texas Hill Country has many rough and rugged areas. This property smooths out the rough spots and provides a comfortable and peaceful place to relax. This house has a mother's charm that melts away the stresses of life. We, especially enjoyed the sitting area on the front porch with wine and good conversation.

The home was clean and just the right size. We did not cook just coffee and tea. ( Bring your own coffee, tea and sugar). There are a good # of pots with Teflon coating. The bath was great it had a good size shower. Keith our manager was very nice.

Adorable and quaint cottage

The property was inviting and very well supplied with quality products. Often in rental properties the linens are thin and inexpensive, the paper goods (toilet paper etc) are cheap and appointments are not in good condition. It was the exact opposite at The Sunday House. Everything from the bed linens, toilet paper, designer soaps etc were above average quality products. Communication regarding check-in and what to expect, and where to find necessary items was very thorough and well thought out. We also enjoyed the nice 2 block walk to the Llano river and a nice evening walk in the park.

Llano Trip

Property appears to be a recent remodel and owners did a good job with the remodel. Older neighborhood with some run down houses as neighbors; however, several homes have been remodeled and appears more are under construction. Overall a pleasant stay. Town of Llano is becoming popular as get-a-way from Austin. "Artsy" look with new businesses coming downtown.

I was born and raised in Llano, but after college and marriage was blessed to live in many different areas of the US. My husband and I have just recently moved back to the Hill Country, and are greatly enjoying being back home complete with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Why they chose this property

This property Is perfect for a romantic get-away or time with family and friends. It is conveniently located to the Badu Park, Llano River, John L Kuykendall Center (JLKC), the town square, area lakes, wineries, and great shopping and restaurants. Not to mention, it is a short drive to Enchanted Rock or Fredericksburg.

What makes this property unique

The Sunday House is located on the North side of the Llano river and within walking distance to many places. It's about a .5 mile walk to the Courthouse square which is considered our "downtown area" and located on the south side of the river. Crossing the river on the bridge walkway is a nice experience - especially when the setting sun or the Christmas lights from Starry, Starry Nights are reflecting from the water.
