A lovely, spacious, well equipped apartment not far from the beach.
A lovely apartment, very clean and tidy, with plenty of equipment that you will need. (You will need to take your own bed linen, loo roll, towels, bin liners etc but iron, hair dryer, kitchen equipment, board games are all there). Gaetane, the lady who does the handovers is extremely friendly and helpful. She spoke good English and gave us lots of information when we checked in. Later in the week when we needed some tickets printing she let us email them to her and she printed them and brought them over to us which was above and beyond the call of duty but very much appreciated.
There are shutters / Black out blinds on the windows which were great for our daughter.
The beach is about 1km away which is close enough to walk for adults but best to drive if you have kids (there is free parking at the beach). The sand dunes are beautiful. The beach itself stretches for a number of kilometres - you can see right along to the next village which is about 1km away and is on the same stretch of beach. The old German bunkers provide an interesting historic perspective to the area.
Carrefour supermarket is a 2 minute drive away. Also a good base for trips over the border to Belgium. We went to Bruges (45minutes away) and Ypres (30minutes away). There is also a childrenâs theme park and water park just a 15 minute drive away (in Belgium). For Plopsaland we foundo that using the option to pay in Sterling was significantly cheaper than paying in Euros.
The town instelf isnât beautiful but itâs a nice area with plenty to do and the apartment is lovely.
