THE UNEEDA HOUSE

This historic row house built in 1854, is a conveniently located, beautiful Savannah Vacation Rental. It's just the place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of downtown's best attractions! With space for four adult guests with all the comforts of home. Everyone will love it here.

Located in The National Landmark Historic District, this row house is within walking distance of most of downtown Savannah's attractions. In fact, you don't even need a car, because you can easily walk to nearby restaurants, shops, parks, & other activities.

This row house still maintains its original layout but has been updated with modern amenities. The new owner is an architect with roots in Savannah, who has woven antiques & modern furniture into a transitional aesthetic that gives a glimpse into how historic character evolves into modern day living throughout the life of a home.

Enter through the front door & you will find yourself in your main interior living area outfitted with comfortable seating options, throw pillows & blankets. For those times when you want to relax with a movie or your favorites show. The 55” 4K UHD OLED Smart TV with Roku streaming & a DVD player if you like to bring along your favorite movies. The house also has 5G Wi-Fi coverage that extends into the courtyard.

Walk from the living room through the dining room which seats 4-6 comfortably with a cocktail station set up on the built-in buffet adjacent to the pass-through window from the kitchen, for passing meals through or serving buffet style.

The galley kitchen is compact but well-appointed with updated appliances (cooktop/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, disposal) & furnished with quality cooking supplies & condiments which will allow you to cook a meal any time of day or night. The kitchen also features a coffee bar with an amazing 4 in 1 coffee station featuring a 12-cup carafe, single K-Cup service, Nespresso Style Pod ability, steamer for frothing milk or making hot water for tea. The bar also has a coffee/spice grinder if you bring your own beans. We provide regular ground coffee for the filtered carafe, regular & decaf k-cups, high octane espresso pods, regular sugar & Stevia packs, creamer & tea bags.

The main level is also a spacious & convenient half-bathroom supplied with an additional hair dryer if the upstairs bath is in use. From the kitchen you can step outside to your private garden courtyard, which is a perfect place to sip some iced tea, admire the greenery, & enjoy life. There is even a gas grill in case you feel like grilling a meal outside. The courtyard has a table for 4 & a large, cantilevered adjustable angle umbrella to block the afternoon heat. When day turns to night, the courtyard has LED Edison bulb string lights overhead giving you a festive atmosphere.

Back indoors, walk up a set of stairs to reach the second level. This upper floor has a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination that is accessible from the hallway. The first of the bedrooms on the right features a king bed with space for changing your clothing & putting up your luggage off the floor and a 32” Smart TV. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed & full closet where you can store your belongings. Each bed has a bedside docking tray that lets you recharge your phone (usb & usb-c or normal power), rest your book before going to bed or to place any small item you need at the bedside.

There is also a pack & play for the little ones stored in the laundry room accessed through the first bedroom. The laundry area has a front load washer & dryer, along with detergent & dryer sheets. (Please no fabric softeners). A drying rack & laundry hamper are also available in addition to hanging space with wood hangers. There is an iron, steamer & an ironing board available as well. All in all, this home will comfortably sleep four adult guests’ maximum.

When you are ready to see more of Savannah, set out on foot & explore the tree-lined streets downtown stepping back into history, while shopping at the locally owned galleries, boutiques & bookstores. Walking is the best way to this city- you can peek into the past as you pass by little windows of beautiful gardens & regal homes that dot the downtown area. These are the hidden takeaways that make this city the gem that it truly is.

Savannah is increasingly known for its wonderful restaurants & cafes, so be sure to stop & get a cool drink or coffee or even a cocktail while you are walking around town. We have “To-Go” cups that you can use during your stay but please return them & don’t take them to go all the way home with you. Savannah allows “open containers” in the downtown area as long as it’s not in glass (& you behave yourself). If that is not your style, go ahead & try one of the breweries in town, or take the kids to get a milkshake at a nearby ice cream parlor. Within a few blocks of this home, you can find all sorts of food options, ranging from pizza to Japanese to Cuban specialties, as well as classic southern-style cuisine. Whether you want to spend your visit sampling the many restaurants, taking photos of the landmarks, or simply relaxing in your private courtyard, you will love it here! If you need cooking supplies from the downtown grocery stores or food shops, we have four reusable shopping, bags branded with the Uneeda Biscuit Ghost Billboard like the one on the side of the Row house. Please feel free to use them but return them to their home. If you want one for your own home as a memento of your visit- we can provide you with the site, they we had them made.

Come stay at this historic & beautiful Georgia vacation rental & experience a taste of history combined with modern comforts & the fantastic attractions of Savannah!

Dishwasher was broken, not repaired day one we got there. Never notified ahead of time and you could tell it was not a recent breakage. TV set stopped fuctioning second day, they did come in a replace it with a cheap set.Kitchen itself had lots of pots and pans but just 2 towels 2 glasses for water. It would have been a nitghtmare if there were more than just 2 of us.I do not think I would rent anything owned by Vacasa again.Location was good.

This was the worst experience that I've ever had with a short-term rental. The only advantage to the property was its location. Contact names and numbers were posted in the book, above the fireplace, and on the front door. First number I called was not accepting calls. The second person was out. The third person could not answer my question about the air conditioning and said I would get a callback. I never did.The dishwasher was broken, the front panel was off and there was tape across it. It was also the first place that I've never had coffee or tea on site. The railing to the stairs was dirty, the shower gel bottle was empty, and there was a large-print, ominous note about COVID death for which "they were not responsible" in the kitchen. Finally, the lock on the front door was very high on the frame. At 5'2" I could barely operate it while standing on my toes. I would stay somewhere else.

Father and sons trip and the property was great. Walked to most areas within 15-20 minutes. The property built in 1890 added to the coolness of the stay.

This home was perfect. Central walking distance to most attractions and restaurants. If you don’t want to walk then it is about 3-4 blocks away from a trolley stop on Old Town Tours. The house was clean and comfortable. As per prior reviews the stairs are a bit tricky but we loved it because the house stayed true to the era it was built in. We will recommend it and certainly stay again.

The house was very clean and perfect for my daughter and myself for a weekend getaway. Very easy to walk to the riverfront and restaurants. The furniture was comfortable and the a/c worked well. The carpet on the stairs has been replaced from what is shown in the pictures. We had a car and easily found parking on the street next to the house. The ParkSavannah app is a better option than using the parking meters. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We were advised of problem with upstairs air and given hot weather the fans were necessary. Being seniors the stairs are a bit difficult. We notified VRBO that garbage disposal doesn’t seem to be working. Parking easy with Savannah app.

This rental raised immediate health concerns. Shortly after arrival, everyone in my group experienced headaches and breathing discomfort. I do have health issues that made this especially concerning, but this affected every member of our party. The home had a strong odor of urine mixed with harsh chemicals, seemingly used to mask an existing problem.Despite this, we were told ants in the kitchen were “more concerning than the smell.” The property has visible water damage on multiple levels, and the stairs are a serious safety hazard, even noted with a warning in the house binder.Management handled this poorly. We were told a cleaning crew couldn’t come until the next morning and that we would have to leave while they cleaned, meaning we were expected to stay overnight in a home impacting our health. The property manager used profanity, sighed heavily throughout the interaction, and made it clear he hated his job. He also nearly arrived unannounced after failing to call back as promised. The senior manager refused to speak with us and used my undisclosed medical history as an excuse to deny a proper refund.Other reviews report the same odor issue, and some guests received full refunds for identical complaints. Vacasa offered only 175, which didn’t cover half of our last-minute hotel. This was my first and last time booking with Vacasa.

Great location to walk Savannah

Nice little home conveniently located within a 15 minute walk of pretty much everything you want to see in Savannah, clean, easy to find, only issue is the back gate is a little tough to open and the key situation could be a bit clearer as the lock boxes are in the back but the keys only work for the front door.Overall great stay

AC was broken so no cold air upstairs. An AC repair man had to come and showed us the broken duct and said the property managers had been informed multiple times before but never fixed it. The lack of AC upstairs (where the bedrooms are) made for an uncomfortable stay during September, when it is still hot and humid. Would not recommend. Great location though.

Comfy and Charming Townhouse!

We absolutely LOVED our stay in this adorable property. Wonderful location in beautiful downtown Savannah with everything we needed. It was spotless and the little courtyard was a lovely place to have morning coffee. We walked everywhere! This home’s proximity to all downtown attractions can’t be beat. We would love to come again!

Great location

The home is in a great location, but the home is older and could use some sprucing up. The furniture is very uncomfortable. There was no rug in the bathroom. The outside area could use some love, but overall it was nice. Great location and was able to walk to everything.

Good location and clean

The location and cleanliness were great. The house was also well stocked with basic supplies. The front door smart lock was a pain - tricky to figure out and the code was changed half way through our stay so we were temporarily locked out. We could never get the courtyard gate to open. It is also very warm upstairs in the summer, so you have to turn the downstairs ac down low for any relief. Other than those small annoyances, it was worth the stay!
