About this property

West Edge Retreat - A wonderful Townhouse in West Yellowstone

The West Edge Retreat is our home away from home, located in the town of West Yellowstone, just 8 blocks away from the Yellowstone Park entrance. It is a three story townhouse which sleeps eight.

The main level consists of a fully-supplied kitchen, with all cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, crockpot, small coolers, etc. The living room is also on this level, and has a gas fireplace, couches, and a flat screen Smart TV with a DVD player.

The upper level has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a Smart TV. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. There is also a full bathroom on this level.

The lower level has two open rooms. The bedroom has a queen bed. The other open room has two twin beds. Two twin air mattresses and pump are provided in the closet. This level also has a 3/4 bathroom with a shower, along with a washer and dryer.

All linens and towels are provided. Beautiful Yellowstone photography is displayed throughout the townhouse. Wifi is available. All bedrooms have a fan in the closet. The Townhouse is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

This was one of the best properties we have stayed at with our large family. We had plenty of room to spread out and thought the accommodations were exceptional. We had comfortable beds, extra blankets, pillows, fans, and plenty of kitchen utensils and even a cooler for our picnic lunches. We would stay again!

Nice place to stay in West Yellowstone. Close to the park entrance and town. The only issue ( if anyone in your group is a light sleeper) are the trucks who air brake as they enter town. But there’s nothing to be done about that. The hosts are quick to respond to any questions.

Excellent Spot for Yellowstone Vacation

Tara was an outstanding host and made everything feel like home. The condo is in a great location at the edge of town so you avoid the crowds and noise of the downtown area. It is an older unit but is in great condition and the pricing was fair to reflect that reality. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything we needed close to the park entrance! The space and beds were great - allowed us to all spread out. The kitchen had everything we could need and 2 full bathrooms was nice. The A/C in the master bedroom was nice to have in July. The only complaint was the living room furniture was quite worn but that is minor - the beds were comfy!

Jeff and Tara- We were both born and raised in the Greater Salt Lake area, and we are now raising our three daughters there. We keep pretty busy with our family, work, and church responsibilities; but we love to have fun, too! Traveling is one of our favorite hobbies, and we regularly stay at VRBO locations. We enjoy reading. We love being active in the outdoors and experiencing new things the world has to offer. Currently, Jeff has an interest in astronomy and Tara enjoys writing and recording family stories. In the summer you can find us hiking and kayaking. In the winter, we love to XC ski!

Why they chose this property

In our early days as a couple, we often dreamt of and referred to our future "Montana mountain cabin." We never realized it could be a real possibility! Over the years, we have made many weekend trips to Yellowstone with family and friends and have truly loved this magical area. Traveling through West Yellowstone is our favorite way to enter the Park. Driving along Madison River is open and beautiful. We regularly see elk, bison, and deer along the way. On one drive in the fall, we finally saw our first wolves in the Park along the river! For several years, we were waiting and watching for the the right property to become available. In early 2015, our West Edge Retreat caught our eye and we jumped at the opportunity to make our "Montana mountain cabin" dream a reality. We are so excited to spend time in our home away from home and for your to enjoy it, as well.
