This newly renovated lake front cottage has everything you need for the perfect getaway. Enjoy lake front views from the two-tiered deck. Paddle around the lake in the 2 complimentary kayaks. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit. Fish for small and large mouth bass and bluegill right off the dock. Bring your boat, large or small, and utilize the private dock. Only 4 miles to Swiss Valley Ski Resort.

This 2 bedroom, family friendly home also comes packed with indoor luxuries including hardwood floors, stainless steel oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, 55" flat screen television, HD cable and wifi, and custom tile bathroom. Linens and shower towels provided.

The cottage was not only clean and comfortable, but the decor Wes modern and fresh. The kitchen was fully renovated with aluminum appliances. Everything was well laid out and marked for easy use. We highly recommend this cabin for 2 to 4 people.

This is an incredible property with very responsive hosts, they even reached out after check in to ensure we had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and well organized, had everything we needed. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating, although our favorite was by the water. The lake is clear and perfect for swimming or paddling. It is in a nice land quieter area, so would not recommend it for parties or louder groups. We hope to come back!

The cottage was lovely! We had a fun couple of days, fishing and kayaking, despite the rainy cooler weather. The cottage has a beautiful deck, outdoor area and is well supplied with everything you need. Beautiful lake view!

The Carefree Cottage name says it all. Clean, well maintained, nicely stocked kitchen, nice sized bedrooms. Small yard for kids to play in, fire pit is a good size. The neighbors that we met are nice. The beautiful multilevel deck overlooking the lake is where we spent most of our relaxcation. 2 kayaks were great. "Merv"(yes I named it) the muck mover was polite and stayed out of the way when we needed. Really I would stay longer then the week with no problem. Looking to book next year already.

Joe and Katie truly went above and beyond for us! The house was gorgeous with some amazing views, the kayaks were such a fun way to go fishing, and the house was cared for! You can tell the love they put in here, and it was just such a lovely place to getaway for the weekend. We hope to go again!

This place is a gem. So many nice touches and smelled wonderful when we walked in. Beautiful view of the lake and the kids had a good time taking a walk down the road. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Fully stocked kitchen with everything needed for cooking. The host, Joe, was very responsive and kind. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back again.

We are so happy for you to stay at our cottage! My husband, Joe, bought this cottage in 2010 before we even started dating. I remember him telling me his hopes and dreams of fixing it up with his dad and eventually renting it out for long weekends. Joe and his dad have spent many, many weekends up here dry walling, laying tile, building the deck, painting, and anything else you can imagine to get this place ready. Renovating our little cottage has taken the entire family. Joe's mom, uncles, aunts, and cousins have all helped us and without them none of this would be possible.
This cottage holds a very special place in my heart because on September 7, 2013 Joe proposed to me out on the dock. And on May 17, 2014 we got married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Three Rivers. Our reception was here at The Water's Edge. It was amazing to see all our family and friends gathered together at a place so special to us and our relationship.
And now we are excited to share this wonderful little cottage with you! We hope you and your family will make special memories here just like we have.
