A three bedroom two bath house on the channel at Gravel Lake in Lawton Michigan. Less than two hours from Chicago, this beautiful home sleeps eight, has a two slip dock and available lake equipment. Gravel Lake accommodates all lake activities including boating, swimming, skiing, tubing and fishing. The Lake is considered the best ice fishing location in southwest Michigan. So stop dreaming and book your reservations now. We don’t nickel and dime our guests. You will pay only our nightly rate, a nominal cleaning fee and the fee charged to you by VRBO. We cover all other expenses including taxes and other fees from VRBO.

Great friend getaway

2 lifelong friends and I shared many laughs in this home. We enjoyed the lake and the quietness of this location. The owners were awesome with their communication throughout our trip.

We had a great time at the Channel House. The house had a large open living area. It was well stocked!! We enjoyed fires by the water and fishing on the dock. We brought a little boat and took it out on Gravel Lake. We would highly recommend

Family Time 2024

Perfect getaway. Lots of things to do on the water we had rented a pontoon boat lots of fun. House was fully loaded nice deck for morning coffee and enjoy the water just all around wonderful vacation. And Sue big shout out to you this was our third year staying at gravel Sue was great keep up the great work😊

Wedding stay

Was very nice and clean. It was so convenient to be able to drive just a couple minutes from my grandson's wedding on the other side of the lake. Will recommend this rental to other people.

The property was lovely, it was clean, tidy, was (as stated on the listing) pet free (I have allergies) and was well stocked. The owners came by once wishing us well, and even noticed that we had accidently left the door on our rental car ajar, saving it from getting soaked!

Fun Getaway

It was our first visit to Michigan and we were very pleased with the location in proximity to the activities we had planned. It was easily accessible to the South Haven area as well as Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. And we were quickly able to maneuver around the area without interference from I-94 construction. Overall, we had a great time in the area with a great location and home base with all the necessities for six adults. It was very open and spacious for all to enjoy.

Channel house stay

We LOVED our stay at this house! An idea: ~ WiFi shut off that morning and we were not able to log out of our streaming services. It would be nice to have a heads up, just so people can log out. We didn’t have cell service at all until we got to a main road. We left behind (intentionally) some lures, firewood, and charcoal. We are already planning our next trip to this home! Thanks again! We booked for 2023 before we left!

The Channel house is the third Gravel Lake home we have stayed in owned by the same people! All of the homes are well equipped, clean and very comfortable! This time at the Channel House we enjoyed hosting our other family members from the lake community at our rental with it's large living/dining room & kitchen! Washer/dryer was amazing for long stays and made it so that we didn't need to pack as much! We sat down as a family and booked two of these rentals for next summer at the same time!

Christmas stay

This place was beautiful. Gave me 70s vibes. I felt taken care of with plenty of towels and blankets. Great open space in kitchen and livingroom. Everything was great I kept saying I want to move here. The only downside is that I found mouse traps and that was alarming and my only suggestion would be to add tvs in the rooms. Maybe a bigger TV in livingroom. Thanks for the stay

Lovely location

We stayed here to attend a wedding in Lawton and wanted our family to stay together. Our 1 teen had fun with the kayak and others enjoyed fishing off the dock. The only thing I would mention was that 3 of us are very sensitive fragrances and there was a lot of perfume smell. We think it may have been the powder stuff you put on the carpet. We had to open windows to try and air it out. Other than that our stay was perfect. Thank you for everything.

Absolutely Wonderful Vacation

The Channel House was better than expected; very accommodating, fully stocked with anything you could think of. After a long flight we stopped to get our essentials but it was our mistake that we didn’t actually go to the property to see what was provided so we spent unnecessary money. The house itself was clean, fresh linen, condiments, board games were available, fully equipped with dishwater/pots and pans, and towels. Easy checkin, close to area attractions and peaceful compared to the city life. The dock was a plus as we fished every day. The neighbors on both sides were very friendly, especially the gentleman on the right who came out and fished with my grandson. I wish I had got his name because I wanted to thank him personally but it was storming so bad our last day there. This is the second time we rented from Sue, who you can reach at any time. She was very understanding with the umbrella issue. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation-beautiful lake, beautiful home, quiet neighborhood, and wonderful host. I highly recommend this property. Sue will be the first person I contact on our next trip in January! Thanks again Sue and you definitely deserve 5 stars!!
