Mother's Day retreat
For Mother's day weekend we had a delightful stay at Honeycomb Home! My wife and I with our daughter, son in law and 2 teenage grandchildren arrived Friday May 10th and left Sunday May 12th. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortably furnished. 👌 The internet connection was strong. We had a wonderful Zoom get together with our children and grandchildren in 4 states! It was near supermarkets and shops. The family especially liked Moo Moo ice cream joint in Mattawan and Perfect Storm West for comics and trading cards in Paw Paw. Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery in Mattawan was fascinating 👍

Great Stay!
We used the Honey Comb Home while we visited colleges in Southern Michigan. The game room and outdoor space were a great place for the teenagers to burn energy off and watch the NCAA Tournament at night. There is a definite cabin feeling but it is in great shape and excellent value.

Beautiful woodland retreat
I loved the proximity to civilization and how private the property felt. The wooded setting was beautiful. I would have preferred a king bed in the master, and a second main floor shower. The home was lovely and exceeded every other expectation I had.

About the host

Host profile image
I grew up in the Chicagoland area. I have two siblings, with whom I am very close. Bought my first house at 22 years old with my twin. This inspired an interest in real estate. I later became a Home Inspector at 24 years old. Which led up to my investment property. I'm a family man with two wonderful kids. I take pleasure in helping people with the process of purchasing their dream home and being a loving father and husband to my wife. I enjoy architecture, real estate, and nature. My OCD organization and cleanliness led me to become a great host for the Honeycomb Home. Having the opportunity to allow others to enjoy a homestead family-orientated area away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can be so rewarding.

Why they chose this property

It's like being tucked away in a cabin in the woods. You wake up and might catch deer running across the driveway while having your cup of coffee, yet your local shopping is about 5 minutes away. The tranquility of the stream as you stare out the windows just takes your mind to another place.

What makes this property unique

Well, the house is in the shape of an octagon! On a unique landscape with hills and a stream running across the southern exposure adjacent to a school forest. You can see this from the aerial photos!
