Everything was incredible as described by the host. The fishing was incredible just off of the boat dock in the channel. Communication with the host was excellent. They were very responsive. I would definitely rebook with this host. The only negative if it can even be considered a negative was that in some areas mainly the attached sun porch there were some dead bugs in the windows, but that is to be expected in the area so technically not really a bad thing. As long as you are not afraid of bugs, especially dead ones just sweep them up and throw them away and the place is perfect just like Home.
It was clean. The host was easy to communicate with. You could sit in the backyard on a swing and watch the boat go up and down the channel. The only negatives for the rainy weather brought those tiny little ants in and we were starting to get overrun by them the last day. Also, their water softener either ran out of salt or something, but the third day the water was turning yellow and orange.

Thanks for the feedback .. this crazy rain seems to have brought out those tiny ants everywhere.. I am even battling them in my home .. We will also take a look at the water softener as it wasn’t out of salt so not sure why you experienced those challenges last day .
Our hosts were very nice. We had the opportunity to meet a couple of them as they live across the street. There were beautiful views and nice areas to walk. The king bed and 2 twin beds were very comfortable. Something to be mindful of is the smell of the property, towels and linens. It was very musty/mildew-y masked by glade plug ins. There were also lots of alive and dead bugs throughout the property inside. Cleanliness needs some work. I feel we may have been the first guests in awhile and things were just not freshened up. Lots of handyman specials throughout the property that made it tricky for having a little one with us, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay.. sorry you
Experienced a musty odor and yes it
Unfortunately it is the time of the year for those annoying stink bugs . No sooner do you clean than several days later they are back. With all the rain we have had might be time for a dehumidifier..
From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with coziness. Everything was exactly as described and in a perfect location in the Chanel allowing easy boat side pickups and drop offs with friends and family who live on GL. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
The pictures do not do this little place justice. It is a great spot if you want to be on a lake and take a break from your normal day to day. All the amenities are there! Highly recommend.

Thanks for your great review.. so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. come back and see us again sometime soon.
My 9 year old daughter and I stayed at the lake house for two weeks. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Our ten day stay on Gravel Lake was everything we hoped for! We have rented from Sue, Cathy and Andy two years in a row in lake houses next to each other. Our daughter rented a house from them the same week we were there. All three homes are very comfortable, well equiped and clean. The beds are comfortable and bedding is provided. The kitchens are well stocked for cooking meals for our big family. The owners are always available for questions and conversation about the area. They were SO accommodating when we asked if our daughter could park at the pier at our house for dinner. As one of our daughters and grandchildren own on Gravel Lake we plan to return and rent from Cathy, Sue and Andy every summer! We may even be back for a weekend this summer! Thanks for all you do to make our stay amazing!
This was the perfect location for our family reunion. We loved being on the channel with the boats to use and the amazing back yard. The interior is cozy, charming and adequate for what we needed. Air conditioning units very appreciated. A few things need updating/repairs but I would absolutely stay here again!
This is our six year staying at Gravel Lake. We really enjoyed our stay as always, very nice and quiet. Everything very clean very comfortable as if you were at home we rented up pontoon boat and we were able to keep it right at our dock the whole week we were there. thanks to Sue for being so awesome.
Stay was good overall but some awkward experiences with the neighbors. Not sure if they were the owners at that place or if it was also a rental. Location on the channel was great, our boys did a lot of fishing and it was nice to have a fire outside each night since it was pretty cool out, found wood for sale a couple miles away. Thought about renting a pontoon but wouldn’t have been too fun with the weather. Bathroom was very small which was a little tough for 4 of us. Definitely a musty cottage smell but didn’t bother us too much. Area was nice. No interaction with hosts but booking process was straightforward.
Our stay was just one day, but the extra help afforded us by the property managers made this trip sweet.
