Our hosts were very nice. We had the opportunity to meet a couple of them as they live across the street. There were beautiful views and nice areas to walk. The king bed and 2 twin beds were very comfortable. Something to be mindful of is the smell of the property, towels and linens. It was very musty/mildew-y masked by glade plug ins. There were also lots of alive and dead bugs throughout the property inside. Cleanliness needs some work. I feel we may have been the first guests in awhile and things were just not freshened up. Lots of handyman specials throughout the property that made it tricky for having a little one with us, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with coziness. Everything was exactly as described and in a perfect location in the Chanel allowing easy boat side pickups and drop offs with friends and family who live on GL. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
The pictures do not do this little place justice. It is a great spot if you want to be on a lake and take a break from your normal day to day. All the amenities are there! Highly recommend.

Thanks for your great review.. so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. come back and see us again sometime soon.
My 9 year old daughter and I stayed at the lake house for two weeks. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Our ten day stay on Gravel Lake was everything we hoped for! We have rented from Sue, Cathy and Andy two years in a row in lake houses next to each other. Our daughter rented a house from them the same week we were there. All three homes are very comfortable, well equiped and clean. The beds are comfortable and bedding is provided. The kitchens are well stocked for cooking meals for our big family. The owners are always available for questions and conversation about the area. They were SO accommodating when we asked if our daughter could park at the pier at our house for dinner. As one of our daughters and grandchildren own on Gravel Lake we plan to return and rent from Cathy, Sue and Andy every summer! We may even be back for a weekend this summer! Thanks for all you do to make our stay amazing!
Stay was good overall but some awkward experiences with the neighbors. Not sure if they were the owners at that place or if it was also a rental. Location on the channel was great, our boys did a lot of fishing and it was nice to have a fire outside each night since it was pretty cool out, found wood for sale a couple miles away. Thought about renting a pontoon but wouldn’t have been too fun with the weather. Bathroom was very small which was a little tough for 4 of us. Definitely a musty cottage smell but didn’t bother us too much. Area was nice. No interaction with hosts but booking process was straightforward.
Very nice cottage. The issue with the sulphur water was terrible. However, we appreciated the quick response from property owners. Due to holiday weekend, the water issue could not be resolved. Thank you for your efforts!

Thanks Venida, for all your patience during your stay .. sulphur issue is now resolved… the water heater bladder tank had failed. An unusual situation according to the plumber but he was able to put in a new one and so we are back to normal now.. Sorry this occurred during your stay and also during the Labor Day holiday. Wished we could have gotten it fixed sooner. Come back and see us sometime
Nice area. Beautiful back yard. Very dark in the house unless all lights were on in living room and dining room, even during the day. Water smells like rotten eggs when used and twice had to wait after it ran out. View from the patio to the channel is blocked by weeds outside of windows when sitting down. Perhaps for a younger couple. Overall enjoyed our stay.
We checked in Thursday and left Sunday morning. The cottage was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The waterfront provided mostly good fishing and all good relaxing views. If you're not used to well water, you'd do well to bring in water for drinking. It was, all in all, a lovely, relaxing weekend!
Nice cozy lake house. The kayaks and canoe were a fun plus. The bathroom was small but adequate. Check in and out was super easy. I would recommend that you bring your own drinking water. Overall: thumbs up, we would come back! Had a nice relaxing weekend. Thanks to the owners for sharing your peaceful getaway with us!
