Beautiful Chalet at Crystal Mountain Resort

Northern Exposure Chalet is located within the village of Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI. Although there is no AC, the wrap- around- porch and surrounding trees provide a comfortable place to relax. The five-bedroom spacious chalet features an 18 foot rustic river rock wood burning fireplace surrounded by the great room and dining area. It is a non-smoking, pet-free chalet. NOTE: Rates do not include Crystal Mountain's amenities. Crystal's amenities are available for purchase from Crystal by our guests and are pay as you go.

Lovely cozy cabin in the woods. Super short drive to the slopes. Everything you would need in the kitchen was there. Communication was very prompt and helpful. The driveway was steep but short…we had 4wd so we could navigate the fresh snow. Plow teams were there while we stayed so that was nice. Great vacation, thanks

The description says all the modern amenties and more; well A/C is a modern amenity. Don't hide no A/C at the bottom of the description. The upstairs toilet was made for a child not an adult. Other than that everything was great. Well stocked with everything we needed. And plenty of rooms and beds. I would stay again if it had A/c

Best Christmas present!

Absolutely beautiful home!! Perfect Location to the slopes at Crystal Mountain, complementary shuttle, took us right to the hills. Home had a great fireplace to sit by after hitting the slopes, the host provided ample amount of wood. We loved the open living area with huge sectional so everybody in our party was able to sit together at all times during our stay. Everything about this home was outstanding. The host kept great contact with us provided us with as many details as possible and answered any questions I had. We will definitely be booking with them again!!

Wonderful Experience

My family stayed at the Chalet in July and we had a great experience. The chalet is spacious and clean. The open floor plan was great for our family. Even with a large group of 9 adults and 2 children we could all eat together, and there was plenty of seating in the family room for us to relax together during our down time. We prepared dinner each night, and found the kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking utensil, pot, pan, etc. that we needed. My family also enjoyed the game tables in the basement and the outdoor fire pit at night. Mary Kay was great - she responded quickly to any questions that I had. She also gave me great suggestions for activities, including canoeing/tubing on the Platte River and visiting the water park at the Crystal Mountain Resort. The chalet is in a great location - we visited Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, and Crystal Lake. I would highly recommend this rental. My kids loved the chalet so much that they didn't want to leave! We are hoping to go back again next summer.

Perfect!!

We booked this place last minute after we had to cancel the place we were planning to stay. The owner was very helpful and informative though the whole process. The home is beautiful and decorated well, without being cluttered with things for me to worry about my children breaking. It was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us to sleep, eat and lounge. The game room in the basement enetertained my children during our down time. The location is ideal. We were able to see Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, visit the beach at Frankfort, and go tubing down the Platte River. The only warning I will give is that places close early!!! Grocery stores and restaraunts are not open very late. Most of the Frankfort shops close at 8pm, with a couple restaraunbts staying open until 9. The kitchen is stocked with basic pantry items, and there is plenty of bar soap, toliet paper, laundry detergent, etc. We couldn't have asked for anything better!!
