Wonderful setting, plenty of space, responsive host. Weather was perfect and we watched the boaters up and down the lake as well as the fishermen. Will book again.
The house is very nice especially if a larger family needs a place to stay.
I did not give it 5 stars only because it could have used a little more cleaning.
The property manage was very responsive.
This home and the property it is on is more than we had hoped for! We stayed for a week and the views alone were worth it. The house had everything we could possibly have needed! The house is specious and the outside areas made it so we didn't want to leave at all!
We had an amazing stay here. The property is everything the pictures show. We watched the sunrise from the edge of the yard and enjoyed everything the property had to offer. Will definitely return.
The house is very comfortable, but the property is spectacular! The views are incredible. We would have stayed a lot longer if possible.
The property manager wasn't super responsive, but that didn't cause much of an issue.
We enjoyed our stay for a family wedding near by. We wish the weather would have been better so we could have enjoyed the lake. The home and property were nice. Check in easy. Home was clean. Beds were comfortable.
Thank you

Relaxing and fun!
We have stayed here several times and it never disappoints! The house is amazingly clean and very well kept! The beds are very comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked! The property has an amazing view of the lake and we enjoyed many meals on the large deck overlooking the lake! The dock is very well maintained and we enjoyed swimming and boating during our stay. In the evening we had s’mores at the fire pit. This property is a gem on High Rock Lake!
If you want to get away just to relax and enjoy a beautiful scenery of the water or have some fun on the water, this is the perfect spot! This rental property is beautiful inside and out! My husband and I enjoy the mornings and evenings just sitting on the porch where it is very peaceful. Our granddaughters (ages 5 & 7) loved catching fish right from the backyard, feeding the ducks, and playing in the water. The property is super clean with very comfortable beds. The process of checking in and out was smooth with no complications at all! Anytime throughout the whole process, the property manager was very pleasant and always available for communication, always helpful and informative. This is by far one of our favorite places to visit. We hope to visit again!

The house was well equipped and very clean. Bedrooms were nice and all rooms had TVs, which was nice when it was rainy. We had a house key issue when we first arrived, but the property manager came quickly to fix the situation. The location was great although it should be noted that it is on the Abbott's Creek portion of High Rock Lake. This is important especially for pontoon boaters as there are two bridges to pass under to get to the main part of the lake and one bridge sits too low for taller boats (basically anything more than 4 feet off of the water) to pass under. To access the main lake we had to trailer our boat and go to a public access ramp on the other side of the bridge. The Abbott's Creek part is very nice though and there is a boat ramp right beside the house to use which was fantastic. Overall, great place.
We really enjoyed our stay. This was our first time spending time on High Rock Lake. Chris, the property manager, was very helpful in our communications prior to the trip. He met us when we arrived to give us quick tour and make sure we had everything we needed. The place was spotless (which is of particular importance during COVID). The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and cutlery.
The property sits on a peninsula. There is a lot of boat traffic during the weekends on the chanel side but the dock is located on the cove side which offers a great protected swimming area. The water is around 6 feet deep off the edge of the dock which is perfect for kids who love to jump into the water all day. There is also a small sandy, rocked beach for walking in or launching your kayak. The house does not include any boats.
There is a marina close by (High Rock Lake Campground) where you can rent a pontoon. The boat we rented did not have a very powerful engine . We were able to pull the kids on the tube (which we brought - there are no tubes available for rent at the marina) at a leisurely pace. There is no place to rent jet skiis on the lake.
If you bring your own boat or jet ski, the property is next to the private boat launch for the homeowners association. The house has a key to the gate. The launch is on the chanel side of the peninsula so does not affect the swimming area in the cove.
We had a great and would rent with this owner again.
The House is Beautiful each room gives you a view of the lake, the landscape is very well kept and the home sits in a private area, the neighbors are very friendly. I also loved the check in time is at 3pm not 4pm- and check out is at 11am not 10am, Myra the rental manager is Awesome, she made me feel like a friend and we have never meet, THANKS MYRA !!! for making this weekend top 10.
We stayed here to attend my daughter's wedding. The house was so comfortable and had a beautiful view of High Rock Lake. All of the beds are comfortable and the living spaces were very nice and relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer.
We stayed for a week over Thanksgiving. My husband and myself, and one of our sons and his wife and 2 kids had a wonderful time. The house was SO CLEAN and comfortable. It is very well designed with great views. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the well equipped kitchen, although I did make sure to bring specific dishes etc I knew I would need. Bring your own knives, if you'll need them, there are no sharp or serrated knives. We fished everyday, and caught 2 catfish and 2 small bream. The water level was lower than usual during our stay, but could still fish off the dock and from the yard. We used the firepit for roasting hot dogs and making s'mores, and just sitting around it talking at night. We brought badminton, corn hole, horse shoes, fishing poles and bb guns for shooting cans. The tv reception was good with rokus. Surprisingly, we tried several local bbq restaurants and they were not very good. The town of Lexington is a bit run down. We found we were better off cooking. Just sitting outside on the nice back deck or on the dock is so relaxing. There are lots of ducks, geese, and herons. All in all, it was the perfect comfortable place for us to get together and reconnect.
This was our first time staying at this property and we have zero complaints! We enjoyed every minute here and hated to leave. We enjoyed fishing right from the yard. Our grandkids (ages 3 & 5)came down to visit for the day and caught their first fish! The property has its own private ramp where we were able to put our boat in the water which was a big plus not having to drive to another location. The property was very clean inside and out, private enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake, yet the view of the lake let’s you enjoy seeing other boats and watercrafts on the water. The property manager was excellent to work with from booking until the time of departure.
Again, excellent stay, zero complaints, and if the opportunity arises again, we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and had everything we were looking for. The view was breathtaking and quiet. The whole process was effortless! The hostess was great and responded to emails quickly. Will definitely be booking with her again and I can’t wait.
