Cottage on Mink River Road

This 1930's vertical log cottage has been remodeled and added on to. It is located about a mile outside of Ellison Bay on Mink River Road. It is on a 5 acre piece of property and a nice quiet setting.
The cottage has a wrap around porch to enjoy your morning coffee.
The cottage is decorated with antique furnishings.
There is a full size kitchen with all that is needed to enjoy your stay.
The bathroom has a 48" shower. In the living room there a gas fireplace.
The bedroom downstairs has a full size bed. There is also a large whirlpool in the bedroom.
Upstairs there are two beds, one full and one twin.

We loved this place. It was certainly rustic, but just as cozy. We started every morning enjoying the peace and quiet the amazing front porch offered. Minutes away from the bustle of what many believe “Door County” to be. Truly the perfect spot!

July 2027 was our second family stay at the Mink River Cottage. We love the location and peace and calm of the cottage. Our grand daughter enjoyed playing corn hole on the porch and everyone enjoyed cooking family dinners. We are already looking forward to visiting the Mink River Cottage again in 2027!

The property was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the wrap around porch in the mornings to sit and have our coffee. The night we arrived we seen a deer and a baby bunny which was great, as we are all nature lovers. Our host Myron was the nicest person; he responded right away with everything we needed to know. Definitely would love to stay here again

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming little cabin in Door County! The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The large front porch was definitely a highlight—it was the perfect spot to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning, unwind after a day of exploring, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.The location was wonderful for experiencing all that Door County has to offer, while still providing a quiet and cozy place to come back to. Everything was clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully arranged.We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. It was the perfect little place for a peaceful Door County escape!

Very cute, private relaxing place. Close to the ferry and any of the quaint towns you would want to explore. The porch is the perfect place for your morning cup of coffee. So peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage on Mink River Road! Check in and out were easy and the property was very clean. All the beds were comfortable and we had all the dishes we needed. We liked the proximity to all of Door County. We spent one day on Washington Island and it was nice to have the ferry dock so near by. Some things to be aware of: we had no cell service at the property and there is no wi-fi. We could get service in the nearby town of Ellison Bay though. Thank you for sharing your home!

The hosts are great - super responsive and a message away to answer questions and offer insight into the area. The cottage is off the beaten path but close enough to get everywhere you want to be, whether it's a locals spot, a tourist spot, or drive in the country and a hike in the woods. The cottage is perfectly Door County. This is a place to disconnect. There is a TV that I assume works - we never turn on a TV when we're up on the Peninsula - and a boom box for radio. Cell reception, like most places outside of town, is quite limited. Ellison Bay is but a mile down the road and just about every spot on the main drag has wifi. The property is very well maintained and makes you feel way more 'out there' than you really are. Again, just what you want.Would absolutely stay there again on a return trip to the area.

This a charming 2BR house close to Ellison Bay, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of larger towns right on the bay. It has a large front porch, nice for sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and listening to the birds. 10 minutes away from a couple of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. There is a nice sized yard for kids to run around in or play yard games. Plenty of books, puzzles, and games to play inside too. The hosts are very friendly and quick to respond to messages. We'd definitely stay there again.

This was our second time in a row staying here for our annual fishing trip and is a perfect quiet place surrounded by nature to hang out grill and tell a few fish stories while having a few cold ones with your best buddies! It’s very clean and well taken care of a little on the small side especially with 4 guys and another bed or futon/pull out couch would be great but other than that everything was great like last time and can’t wait to come back next year!

Nestled on a wooded lot with birdcalls to greet you upon rising each morning. So clean and comfortable. The history of the cottage is posted and antiques and vintage decor surround you. Our host communicated in a timely manner.A very restful, peaceful place, especially the little nature trail!

Great location to everything but in a quiet nature filled setting with deer in the yard and barred owls calling at daybreak along with plentiful song birds.. cabin was very clean with all the amenities needed for a few buddies on a fishing trip and just perfect
