PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT OFFERING The Roxbury for 1-4 month seasonal rentals so please do not inquire as we will decline your request. We appreciate your consideration.

Welcome to The Roxbury, our secluded 10 acre getaway minutes from the Mad River Valley and Sugarbush Ski Resort. Our mountain home offers 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 6 person hot tub to relax after a long hike, a bar for apres ski and a workout room.

Open floor plan with living, dining, kitchen and bar area with a small powder room. This is a contemporary house so we do have a lot of stairs. Three bedrooms on 2nd floor with a 4th kids' room on 3rd! Master bedroom has attached bath w/shower. Guest bedrooms share full bathroom. We have 4 flat screen TVs including the one in our workout room finished basement!

We offer 10 acres of privacy and are centrally located less than 10 minutes to Norwich University, 15-20 minutes from the Warren/Waitsfield/Sugarbush area, 25 minutes to Montpelier, and 40 minutes to Stowe.

Bring your bike, bring your skis/snowboard, bring your family, bring your dog, bring yourself and enjoy our mountain home! Are you ready to spend a night (or two or three) at The Roxbury?

Relaxing getaway spot

A group of friends joined me and my husband here for a long wedding weekend. This house was the perfect place to relax and unwind after long days of exploring the area and celebrating a new marriage. We were very pleased with the size of the kitchen, which allowed us to all gather and prep food. The hot tub was especially welcome for those of us with sore legs from hiking! We would absolutely stay here again if we return to the Roxbury area.

Our stay at this property was beyond our expectations.The location of the house was on the end of the road with lots of privacy, a ready to use hut tub AND it was all conveniently located 15-20min away from a ski resort! The owners, Rachel and Matt, were very considerate to us arriving a little early due to a snowstorm, and had the place well prepared earlier then the anticipated check-in time. The atmosphere of the property was very cozy, the house was clean with all the essentials, tons of cooking supplies, including a grill which came in handy for a New Year's dinner. Both owners were easily reachable when we had questions, and their care for their guests was very noticeable upon arrival. I would definitely consider coming back for another stay and would highly recommend it to my family and friends! - D.A.C. Family.

Terrific!

I rented Matt and Rachel's home this past weekend, as I was in town for a family wedding. I wish I could have stayed longer - the home was large, very well maintained, comfortable, and situated in a beautiful, quiet spot in the Vermont countryside. There's plenty of space for a family to make themselves at home here, and it's proximate to all the attractions in the area - skiing, hiking, the works. I brought my family dogs with me, and they had a great time, too - the house stayed nice and cool even during the heat of the Summer afternoon. I hope to be back in the area someday soon, and whenever that happens, we'll absolutely be looking into booking this home again. Cannot recommend this one highly enough.

Myself and our entire group enjoyed our stay at the Roxbury, it was very clean, affordable and located close to Sugarbush. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to us. I highly recommend staying here!

Matt and Rachel had been living in Vermont full time since 2003. We purchased this home in 2005 and it was a labor of love to fix it up. We relocated to Concord, MA in 2014 and opened up The Roxbury for rent. We hope that people wishing to have the true Vermont Experience will check it out!

Why they chose this property

The Roxbury is simply a house with character! It is a huge contemporary ski house built in 1972. Great for dinner parties, spending time with friends and family relaxing on the couch in front of a burning fire in the winter or on one of the many decks during the summer. We are located close enough to Sugarbush to make it a steal but far enough away to make it a real getaway. There are many times we both stop and take a moment to look around at this house - we are very lucky to have found this bit of heaven in Vermont.

We are 8 minutes from Norwich University, a 15-20 minute ride over a scenic mountain road to the Mad River Valley/Sugarbush area and 25 minutes from downtown Montpelier. Beautiful scenery surrounds us!

What makes this property unique

Many cozy nooks to spend by yourself or with another. Quiet location with many trees but plenty of sun to relax on the deck too. Central location to the Warren/Waitsfield/Sugarbush /Norwich University area but also only 25 minutes from Montpelier.

Guests have access to all Vermont has to offer from skiing (downhill and cross country), hiking, biking, swimming, sightseeing, eating, relaxing and more!
