Eladio Place is beautiful. My wife and I very much enjoyed staying here and exploring the area. The houses are comfortable and the grounds are well maintained. Eladio is generous with his knowledge of the area and local treasures.

What a great stay for exploring around Liberia! Amazing hosts we would love to see again some day. Eladio gave us a great wildlife tour, definitely recommend taking one! Kids and parents enjoyed the huge pool. Though technically shared with the other rental on site you wouldn’t know it. Surrounded by trees, flowers, and colorful birds with iguanas hanging out at the pool with us was perfect and a great welcome to Costa Rica. Pura vida!

The property offered a beautiful pool lots of birds and monkeys to watch. Eladio and Vanessa are excellent hosts willing to make your stay enjoyable. Transport you to town or on excursions in the 4x4. We were there for 13 days but it was all around best part of our 4 month stay in Costa Rica.

His place is out of the tourist path and in a great location to explore Santa Rosa National Park, Rincón de la Vieja National Park, and of course, Eladio is your best contact to surf Witches Rock.

Paradise-Palma was my best accommodation ! while on vacation in Costa Rica ! Pool was so inviting and we had it mostly to ourselves !Our cottage was clean and so adorable. There were many things/items that were provided that were awesome. Simple things like an abundance of fresh water, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, spices, oil, laundry soap, dish soap !There was talk of monkeys , unfortunately we didn’t see them. Iguanas roomed around freely. Hummingbirds along with many species of birds, and all the natural sounds were amazing.However the microwave look good but didn’t plug in and therefore didn’t work. The Ad was true to description and the pictures looked a little different, based on the season photos were taken.Advertised but No hot tub.The signage to the entrance was so tiny, especially if arriving at dark.The host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The availability of things to see and do, grocery stores, restaurants and airport were all close to our cottage.

Rustic jungle cabin off beaten track

We enjoyed our stay here very much, and found it to be as described. We particularly enjoyed birding with Eladio, who is just a wonderful host. He does everything he can to make your visit perfect. It may not be for everyone so don't expect perfection. However, we enjoyed so much getting off the "tourist track" and having a more authentic Costa Rican experience.

Bird paradise

Eladio has built an amazing property of trees and bushes and it’s really quite impressive all the birds it has attracted! We are avid birders and were up every morning at 6am. We walked out the front door and the birds were amazing. My Merlin sound ID reported at least 35 different species. Amazing. Eladio is just a wonderful person.

Eladio is a very gracious host and obviously wants to do everything to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. He is great at communicating with you, should you have any wants/help/issues.I would liken the cottage to a rustic cabin. It was clean and comfortable, and it had all the necessities for self-catering. The double bed was very comfortable. We were very surprised at the flexibility of the mini-split A/C in the bedroom; it worked very well, cooling the room very quickly if you had been out and about. And it is extremely quiet says the light sleeper! The cottage is set in a lush setting with lots of plants and shade trees which Eladio planted many years ago. There is a table and chairs under a shade canopy where we started each morning listening/watching the plethora of birds that are around the area. We also saw some animals peeping through the undergrowth. There is a pool close to the shade structure. The parking is right outside the cottage. The cottage is an easy drive from Liberia airport and close to an area with shops and some great restaurants with local food, which was very good. We found the cottage be in a location making driving to the nearby coast/beaches easy. We also took an Ecotour with Eladio, which was amazing! Overall we had a great few days, and meeting Eladio and his older children was a real pleasure. Thank you, Eladio!

Great location to explore Rincon and surroundings

This was our first to Costa Rica; and we arrived at Eladio's house after an initial hiccup with the car rental company. Any bad taste with the car rental company was completely gone when we first met Eladio! He's a fantastic individual - high energy, genuine, salt of the earth :-) and a great guide - knows a lot of people and places in the area! The house was clean and comfortable. It has a basic kitchen; and was enough for our breakfast needs. The air conditioning helped a lot at night! And we were sitting in the outdoor seating area in the mornings listening to birds :-) Eladio took us into the rain forest near Rincon; and we saw lots of toucans, a sloth, etc. We enjoyed eating local Costa Rican food at restaurants he recommended. We loved interacting with Eladio and his family. I would highly recommend staying here as a base to explore Rincon and surroundings; and to use Eladio as a guide!
