Awesome home with close access to beach and pool!

We loved staying here. The location was so close to both pools and beach access. Very clean room. Being so close to Pineapple Willy’s was awesome.

Great location

Overall we loved the condo. The address we received via email was incorrect so it made finding the condo harder than it should’ve been. The oven and microwave are outdated, but still met our needs. We would stay here again.

Great location, NEEDS UPDATING

I couldn’t ask for a better location - right on the beach. The room was clean BUT in dire need of renovation! Carpet was stained, bathroom faucet was too tight and couldn’t turn, and stove needs replacing.

Overall clean but very outdated

The location on the first floor was the best part. The unit is very outdated with a great amount of damage to walls, carpet, closet doors and etc. The living room seemed to be updated. Overall the unit was clean though especially the bathroom and kitchen. Being spring break, the unit was in a good location, clean and the security was good. Again just really needs to be updated.

Disappointed and unsafe.

We arrived to the condo and right from the start it had issues. It's unsafe and should not be rented to the public.

Vacasa Customer service was awful.

The couch pull out bed was broken and could not be used. After 12 phone calls and three text conversations with Vacasa, they finally brought me an air mattress two and a half days into our stay. I will never use this app again if I can't filter out Vacasa rentals.

Cleanliness

Loved the location and convenience of the condo. There were a few minor issues though. The tub was not draining the water, it filled up within seconds of having it on. Bedroom furniture had lots of dust. Pull-out bed very flimsy. Behind couch was a small wiring hole that was left uncovered, which is tripping hazard. Other than that we had a great time and would come back if those issues were addressed.

Construction nightmare!

Once you can find, and get into, the property it’s not bad. The address on everything is wrong, so that was fun. The unit itself isn’t bad. The reason for booking this property however were the views and the walkout patio. It is completely under construction, you can’t even see outside! There is some kind of electronic scaffolding all around you, and garbage everywhere! I understand things need repair, but travelers need to be told! If we hadn’t been contacted about the building having no water we would have been stuck here for our entire vacation!

Worth the first floor!

I took my grandbaby and we definitely needed the first floor comfort. Other than the tile floor in the main living area being sticky we really didn't have any issues. I think this was lack of the cleaning crew and not the owners. There was a pink sticky residue by the patio door that was also on the rug a tiny bit but like I say I think that was was just either forgetfulness or cleaning in a hurry or forgetting to mop. The patio door was also pretty hard to open but we put a little cooking oil on it and it loosened right up. But neither of the issues should keep you from renting. I will definitely be requesting the unit in the future do to the ground floor convnenience.

dirty floors and roaches

First, I was provided the wrong gate code which you may imagine was a disaster as cars lined up behind me. Second, I do not suggest walking in the unit bare footed as the tile floors will leave your feet extremely dirty. My experience with tile floors and high humidity suggests the floors were not mopped or cleaned the day of our arrival. Lastly, two roaches decided in make their unwelcomed appearance during our stay. One did not survive, but good luck with the other as he is fast for his size. While the VACASA staff apologized for these inconveniences, I was never provided a solution or refund.

I do not recommend

Roaches, kitchen counter top coming apart, arm on couch is broken, the windows are hazed up so bad you can't see out of them, the sliding glass door in the bedroom will not open, the sink in the bathroom is nasty from the leak on the faucet, the carpet in the bed room is nasty, the deck is a splinter garden, (not that you can use it because they aren't telling people about the construction, You can't enjoy the deck, the pool on that side is shut down and beach access on that side is chained and padlocked.) They don't tell you about the $35 parking pass or the $4 wristbands that are required for everyone over 12. The rent a cop there sure will though. Beach chairs are $35 because this condo isn't part of their program. The only thing that wasn't a sham is that it is actually right there by the beach. You just can't access it from there or enjoy it on your deck.

The Negative Reviews Are Accurate

I went into this trip knowing that there were bad reviews such as the unit being out dated, things being run down, the fold out couch being broke, the company providing the wrong address, cleanliness issues etc. I was thinking that those issues would be resolved and the location to the beach would make up for it. NOPE! I had all of the same issues! 2 days before we were supposed to arrive we got an email from the property manager advising there was renovations but all balconies were open. NOPE again! We could not use our walk out access and there were men working on our windows the whole time. The communication was awful from the property manager and VRBO. We do not require the best of anything but a comfortable stay is important, especially when traveling with teens. The beds were very uncomfortable, the fold out couch was basically unusable due to the huge slope in it. The TV in the bedroom was tiny, which may not make a difference to some but again traveling with teens, everyone needs space and comfort at the end of the day.

Pictures are a little deceptive but not the absolute worse stay we’ve had.

The room being on the bottom floor was the biggest reason we booked it and that part was nice. The room was somewhat clean, but very outdated. The bed was hard, our bedroom door was off the hinges, which was a safety concern with our toddler. The ice maker didn’t work and the only ice tray in the freezer has cracks all in it, there were multiple ceiling tiles picked up out of where they’re supposed to lay. There were clumps of sand under dressers and by doors, under the bed there’s some kind of frame or something that we hit our foot on a couple times on top of it being disgusting under the bed, and old dip can and other trash under the bed. The shower nozzles didn’t work correctly and our bathroom sink would not even turn on, we made sure the water lines were on. We did have plenty of clean towels and supplies needed to run the dishwasher twice and there was laundry detergent but we didn’t use it. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best stay but we made it work. Definitely do not feel like the room was worth what we had to pay for it.

Definitely beachfront, definitely overpriced

First, let me say that I am a beachbum who stays in beachfront property in Panama City Beach at a minimum of 4 times a year. Yearly, we come to the beach on my birthday. While I could stay in a tent on the beach if they'd let me, I am forced to pay for accommodations instead. This unit has a great floor plan with spacious living room and bedroom. There's a new fridge and dishwasher and the bedroom furniture looks relatively new also. The rest of this unit appears to be the original schtuff...the couch is not at all comfortable, the chairs on the porch are on their last leg, the rugs in the bathroom desperately need to be replaced. I usually stay in a privately owned and operated unit, so maybe the difference is that vacasa is not as concerned about repeat business, I'm not sure. There's no wifi, it costs $4 to do a load of laundry and, for our 5 day stay, there was one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper and 1 thing of coffee. For the cost of the unit, I would recommend several upgrades to compete with the surrounding units (at Sunbird and otherwise). We ended up leaving a day earlier than we'd anticipated...more so because of the accommodations than anything else. With the upgradesade, I'd gladly stay here again. The unit has so much potential and I would love to see it reach that potential!!! Also, if the bedroom door does not work, please let people know that ahead of their vacation. My review is 2 stars because it IS beachfront property....just needs a lot of help.
