A lovely peaceful location, clean and reasonably well equipped. Lots of attractions within easy reach, Given the lack of broadband (or mobile data signal) some up to date info would have been appreciated (nearest supermarket, more recent leaflets, appliance instructions etc). Unfortunately we had problems with the hot water which was lukewarm at best and ran out after only 1 shower.
Another Great stay at Ruston Reeches. A very comfortable cottage in a truly idyllic spot. Looking forward to our next stay

We had a lovely stay here, it’s very homely and the lake outside is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside lots and listening to the wildlife. The cottage is the perfect size for a small family and within driving distance to a lot of places. We will definitely be staying here again, thank you :)
Comfortable cottage , in the Broaads not far from the sea.

Cosy rural cottage with all the facilities required for a comfortable stay
The house is located in beautiful surroundings. My daughter loved pond dipping in the lake. The house was lovely. Would stay again.

I am pleased that you and your daughter enjoyed your stay at our cottage and it was lovely to hear she had fun being by the lake. Thank you for leaving a lovely review of our cottage.
A very peaceful and cosy stay with our two children. The breakfast swan visits from the nearby lake were very popular as were the extensive library of kids books. Overall very well equipped and comfortable. Thank you

Thank you leaving a lovely review of your stay at the cottage. Hope you’ll stay again soon.
My only disappointment was that the glorious fishing pool had apparently been ravaged by otters.
Property was excellent in all respects.

Thank you for leaving a review. Pleased you enjoyed your stay in the cottage. Sorry to hear the fishing was disappointing, the lovely lake area is an ongoing balance of working to maintain it in as natural a way with nature as possible and trying to keep that balance.
Great location in a beautiful setting. Very poor signal on the mobile and no broadband but knew that anyway. Second time I’ve stayed. A bit of updating with decor as a bit tired but overall met our needs.
Lovely cottage with views of the lake, lots of games, dvd's etc.No wifi but not a problem for us.
Saw our first ever kingfisher through the lounge window!
Spent a long weekend here and it was excellent. We didn't have a car with us but there are plenty of walks nearby and the beach was within cycling distance. I recommend East Ruston Vicarage Gardens for an afternoon out.
There is an excellent collection of old James Bond VHS tapes for evenings in if the weather's bad.

Thank you for your review. Lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay and local area for walks, beaches and the vicarage gardens.
Everything you need. Doesn’t have Wi-Fi or good signal for your phone but it didn’t bother us as we were out and about exploring the surrounding countryside. I would recommend if you want a peaceful holiday.

Thank you for leaving a review. Pleased you had a lovely stay and enjoyed exploring the local area.
The property is in a lovely location providing a relaxing stay in the countryside overlooking a small pool frequented by wildlife. The is plenty of space for 4 people and all amenities provided for your stay. It is made clear that there is no WiFi at the property, but also the phone signal is quite variable, so just be prepared for this when staying at the house. There is an excellent library of VHS and DVDs to watch! We really enjoyed our visit, just one or two little details would make it excellent such as providing larger towels. We would recommend this as a great property from which to explore the area.

Thank you for leaving a review. Lovely to hear you really enjoyed your stay at the cottage and exploring the local area.
View of the lake was lovely. South facing garden. Compact house but very clean, tidy and loads of games and videos for the kids.
No WiFi was unexpected but it wasn’t the end of the world.
Lovely location as it was peaceful. Plenty in the cottage to occupy the three of us. Calm and enjoyable walk around the water round the back with the swans and moorhen keeping us company. Mattress was slightly lumpy but that was the only downside. All in all exactly what we wanted. Thank you.

It was a lovely setting but very basically equipped. No pack relating to various equipment. We weeded the patio whencwe arrived. Bed not that comfortable. We have stayed in better places but loved watching the bird life around the pond.
Nice place, could do with another cupboard to put your food in. The mattress was appallingly uncomfortable/cheap. I like the place/location but will not return due to the bed.
,
Clean and simple holiday home, with patio with an absolutely stunning view. Ducks, swans, geese and even a heron occupy the lake in front of a pretty tree screen. Ample books and video library for more than a two week stay. Location is excellent for walks or visits to stately homes and idyllic villages. We left an ordnance survey map of the area for the benefit of future occupants. Suggestion: share a WIFI service with the neighbours, as non access to the web was a challenge.

Thank you for leaving a review. Lovely to read how much you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and visiting the area.
Beautiful location. Didn’t appreciate walking through face height cobwebs throughout the property. After previous reviews stating issues trying to get hot water we understood this to have been addressed, however, there was no hot water and no guidance. We eventually sussed things out but a bit of concern initially. Nice homely and comfortable place to stay.

Thank you for leaving a review. Pleased you enjoyed your stay and the cottage location.
Beautiful , picturesque setting. Cottage was comfortable and clean, a little dated but had extra touches such as dvds and books you could enjoy whilst staying.
My only disappointment was that the patio furniture was very rickety and only two chairs were usable. I had been so looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying the amazing views. If the patio furniture were replaced with plastic or metal it would be easy to wipe dry and use anytime. But this is only a small criticism, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would fully recommend to all our friends and family and will be happy to return for another visit.

Thank you for leaving a lovely review of your stay at the cottage.
The house is beautifully situated between the Broads and the north Norfolk coast, both within easy reach although the house is location is quiet and out of the way. The lake at the rear of the house is lovely and we saw frogs, newts and a kingfisher during our stay. The house itself is well-equipped and comfortable. I see other reviewers had issues with hot water but we had no problems. Lack of wifi is not a problem for us and we knew there would be none before we got to the house, but we also had no mobile signal and 4G which meant that while we were in East Ruston we were completely uncontactable which was more of a concern. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you!

Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the cottage at Ruston Reaches on first sight due to its lovely peaceful setting and perfect location for visiting both the broads and the coast. I immediately felt relaxed with lovely views and plenty of wildlife from the back of the cottage and in surrounding area. It is beautiful place to visit whatever the season.
