We have two homes available and offer you your choice. This beautiful, all-brick ranch home is located in a quiet, secluded neighborhood just minutes from the interstate for easy access to all Omaha has to offer. Recently updated, the home boasts high quality finishes and top-of-the-line appliances. GPS says 17 minutes to TD Ameritrade Park, home of the College World Series. Or, choose our other property--a beautiful white pine log home (4 bedroom, sleeps 12) located in Thurman, IA. GPS says 37 minutes from this home to the park, but you will be approaching the park from the Iowa side with MUCH LESS TRAFFIC.
Which house is right for you all depends on how you want to experience Omaha and the College World Series. If your group is looking forward to nights of bar-hopping, access to restaurants for most meals and other activities with access to "ubering" to and from downtown, then our Omaha home is perfect.
If, on the other hand, when not at the park, your group would prefer a retreat where they can relax, watch the games their not attending, cook out on the back patio and take in the beauty of the historic Loess Hills ( then our Iowa home is for you! Search "Thurman IA" to see our other property, "Happy Valley." Both homes are perfect for a large family or for several couples enjoying the College World Series together.
This property is our family home and boasts over 6000 square feet of living space. There is a master with King Bed and 3-piece bathroom, a large bedroom with queen bed, another bedroom with a full-sized bed, and a basement bedroom with one twin bed and a trundle. There is also another twin bed set up in the exercise room, but this is not technically used as a bedroom.
There are 4 1/2 baths in the home for your use. In addition to the powder room and master bath, there is a main, 4-piece bathroom on the first floor. Downstairs, there is a bathroom with a claw-foot soaker tub and an additional bathroom with two private dressing areas and a shower.
The house has two "open concept" areas for viewing the games. The kitchen/hearth area is the heart of the home with a large, granite island in the middle of the room and a large TV with Cox Contour. The dining/living area also has a TV with Cox contour for viewing the games. Downstairs, there is a TV room also with a cox contour box for the more serious viewer who wishes to be away from the crowd! There is also a bar area with TV (has cable but no contour) in the basement.
Off of the kitchen is a large deck with grill. It is shaded in the evenings and a wonderful extension to the kitchen area. There is plenty of off-street parking with a two-car garage and circular driveway.
This house is truly located in the center of Omaha, so whether you are heading to the games (east) or out west to dine, there is rarely more than a 15-20 minute drive to anywhere in the metro area.
