The property is spectacular all around. The location is close to all the attractions, restaurants, and beautiful hiking. The property is thoughtfully put together inside and out. The outside is like an oasis with the babbling creek, hammocks, and back patio with tons of entertainment. The inside is ready to host a family (or two) with games, large dinning table, and lots of gathering places. Our family loved the house. You can feel every ounce of care Caren puts into the property. Thank you for a beautiful, memory filled stay!
Fantastic stay at this beautiful and unique property. A group of colleagues stayed for a conference at the Broadmoor and I appreciated how isolated the bedrooms felt from each other, allowing for more privacy than expected. Would definitely stay again!
Every summer we meet our daughter and her family along with our son and his family in an interesting, exciting and entertaining location We were not disappointed with our stay on Stratton. The 2nd floor bunkhouse was perfect for our 4 grandchildren and the 3 bedrooms plus the Yurt was great and comfortable. Location was very convenient to our intended destinations. Our host was very responsive to our few questions. If you intend to visit Colorado Springs this would be a great place to stay.
This home FAR exceeds the listing and Caren was fabulous to work with. We were there for a wedding at the Broadmoor and we couldnāt have picked a better home to stay in. Everyone in our group loved it! We canāt recommend it enough and would definitely stay there again
Beautiful home located near all of the Colorado Springs attractions. This was by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owner is very responsive. We would highly recommend this home.
Over all a great place to stay while attending a work event at the Broadmoor. Well equipped kitchen for preparing meals, comfortable sleeping arrangements and the hot tub is a plus. Deer in the neighborhood greeted us each morning!
Stayed here with family to attend sonās graduation. Enchanting property next to a small creek. Everything was as shown in photos. Pleasurable stay. Owner was very responsive to our needs to modify our stay unexpectedly. Couldnāt be happier with choosing this property.
It exceeded our expectations in all ways. Would have liked more washcloths and hand towels but otherwise loved every second and hated to see it end. Thank you for such a superb home!!!
This house was amazing. Beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you could ever need. Caren was super easy to work with. Very responsive and accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice to have starter amenities for our stay (trash bags, soaps, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, etc)! We would love to return to this property. Oh...and we loved how close it was to the Broadmoor and the coffee shop, Sacred Ground!
The Stratton House is exceptional and was the perfect fit for our gathering that included ages 8 months (twins) to 65 years (grandparents). The house is unique with an abundance of character. The children (ages 7,6,4,3) loved the bunks in the loft. Very spacious, while cozy at the same time. Was excellent location to stay for one of the individuals in our group who was attending a conference at the Broadmoor.
This house is fabulous! The backyard is just marvelous. Felt like we were deep in the woods but itās only 10 min walk to Broadmoor. The kitchen is amazing. The owner was so sweet and helpful too. Bedroom layout is great for privacy too. Canāt wait to come back. Thank you!
Lovely home! The kitchen was well-appointed, and the place was as pictured. I especially appreciated the quality and quantity of dishes and cookware, as well as the bathroom towels and outside towels. The beds were comfortable, and having two fireplaces to go with the unseasonably chilly and wet weather we had was nice.
I thought the sound of the creek was pleasant, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Owner was very attentive and responsive, but we really didn't need anything because everything was already great.
We enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary with our kids and grandkids at this beautiful home. The location is close to so many fun activities. Carin was so pleasant and helpful. The grandkids chose staying home to play by the stream over a site-seeing adventure one afternoon. They loved seeing the deer in the yard as they played. Our group of ten (8-71 years of age) had various places to hang out in the house which accommodated gatherings as well as privacy. We all agreed this was a perfect house for our family vacation!!!

The Christmas House!
What a perfect Christmas we had at Caren's house tucked into the trees with deer prancing by the windows. This house is all that is described and more. The owner even decorated for the season! We had two young families with the grandparents, and there was plenty of room. Everything is tastefully decorated, beautiful bathrooms, very complete kitchen and comfy beds. The four grandchildren loved the upstairs bunk room. The location is very convenient to all the amenities around Colorado Springs. We would love to come again sometime! Thanks, Caren
This house served our needs well. The house itself was large and had several areas where you could go for quiet/private time. The setting is amazing: large, private, and beautiful! The bedrooms were great, although the lower one was too hot for the couple that started out in there. When they opened windows, the screens were ripped at the bottom and let in bugs. It wasn't an issue for us because they moved to the bunk room. Lots of nice things in the house that often aren't supplied. Highly recommend this place.
These Okies canāt wait to return for a summer-stay
This cottage was EVERYTHING to my family š COVID and life-circumstances had kept us apart for the last 2.5 years. This year, we decided that a weekend away in the mountains was exactly what we needed to center ourselves and our relationships š. Carenās house is amazing! There was plenty of room for our family of 11 (6 adults & 5 kids) even without the yurt which was not accessible due to the cold. We had deer in the yard every single day. We got to experience a Colorado snowfall and New Years with the family was everything i couldāve dreamed of. Beds are comfy and the showers are near-perfection.
We had groceries delivered from both Walmart and Safeway without incidence.
The kitchen is well stocked.
If i could make a specific recommendation about āThings to doā in Colorado Springsā¦.PLEASE check out the Beginners Falconry Experience at the Broadmoor!!! Itās expensive but SO worth it for kids/adults who are into birds and nature! Truly an experience we will never forget!
Seriously cannot wait to return to this little piece of heaven!
My wife and I take a trip every September to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to head west to take in the scenery in Colorado Springs. The available rentals in the area were abundant but it was important to find a property that checked all the boxes on our "must have" list. This listing indicated the property had everything we were looking for, was in a great central location for our exploration...and had excellent reviews. So we booked.
Anytime you rent a property, your only window into the property is what is posted in the listing. Pictures can be deceiving and often times disappointment follows. Not here! We were drawn to the property from the photos but when we arrived, the home went way, way beyond our expectations. Unbelievably charming, clean, appointed and unique in so many ways. I actually texted Caren the owner within the first few minutes and told her we were already coming back again!
From the booking process all the way to the end of our trip, Caren was extremely responsive and definitely on top of her game. She was very accommodating and gave us suggestions on activities and restaurants that were spot on. Throughout all the years I have been renting vacation homes, Caren tops the long list of people we have rented from. She is sincere in caring that her guests thoroughly enjoy their time. Without question, she is...the very best!
This is our favorite VRBO and we travel often. We took grandma this time and she fell in love as well. Enjoyed every minute. Be sure to spend time hanging out at the property. Caren is wonderful to work with.
This house is perfectly located in Colorado Springs for any activity you could want. Seven falls is no more than 10 minutes away and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is even closer. We had a great stay at the house for the weekend for a family reunion that was held at the Broadmoor, which, like everything else, was only a short walk from the house. Caren was a great host and I highly recommend this property.
Came to CoSpgs for a wedding at the Broadmoor, but the BEST part of my visit was staying at this VRBO. We had 5 adults from 26-92. Clean, comfortable, close to trails, grocery store, and restaurants. The home is a dream setting with a creek along the side, great fireplace in back with comfy seating all around. Enjoyed sitting around the roaring fire with the water running through the creek as an accompaniment. Lovely! Better than I anticipated!

We are happy to help you in any way, from helping with reservations to groceries to sightseeing, etc. Please feel free to ask any questions that may arise. Happy Travels!
