The kitchen was lacking. There were very few plates, the glasses were plastic, there were few coffee mugs. The kitchen could have used more tools. The fireplace and space were lovely. We enjoyed our time there very much..

Great location!! We love going to Tahoe in the off season (No crowds and plenty of parking) This unit is perfect for two adults or two adults with kids. The kitchen and bath are showing normal wear and tear but nicely equipped and clean. I would recommend this place for a great weekend with easy access to the lake.

Perfect accommodations for our needs! Great location - secluded and quiet, but close to the beach and select restaurants. Spectacular views of the lake and mountains a block or two away. Such a beautiful area!

Perfect spot

Great location & walkable to some eateries. The place was cozy and perfect for a small group. The hot tub & other amenities aren’t open every day, so just something to be aware of to plan your vacation accordingly if you want to enjoy them all. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very nice visit and the property management was very helpful in trying to help me take care of my Dad who had altitude sickness. Great Location - Experience could have been better...

Great location, nice clean condo, but the condo wasn't kept up and the sofa "bed" was broken. Not sure how it could accommodate 4 people. Luckily it was me and our two girls. Guess who got the bedroom and who got the loft sofa...?

The condo is in a great location but many things in the place were cheap and breaking (or already broken) which put a damper on our stay. The kitchen was also not very well stocked with cookware.

Nice location

Across the street from a nice pebbled dog beach. Neighborhood was quiet and surrounded in pine trees. The place itself was cozy although we got a little warm even with the fans provided, the thermostat was set to heat to 70 but it felt warmer. Once i figured out how to open windows and let the fresh air in it cooled the place down a bit. If you dont mind cleaning up after yourself and washing dishes on vacation this place will do. Also if you dont mind giant ants crawling around, we were told they were harmless so we let them be. We just threw them outside.

Carnelian Bay Condos

Everything was clean an orderly. No issues with check in or the accommodations. We wish the rec center with the spa and hot tub was open later than 8:45pm. After skiing at Heavenly, having dinner, and driving back, we were told that we only had 15 minutes to used the amenities.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first vacation with our dog and this property was only a short walk to Carnelian Bay, which is a dog-friendly beach. The property is in need of a refresh. It had a musty smell which we rectified with air freshener. The bedding was tired. I found a down comforter that I swapped for the old blanket and comforter that solved the problem. The dishwasher was broken and light bulbs need replacing. The size was perfect for our needs and the outside little deck was great. A refresh of bedding and carpets would make this a perfect condo.

The management company for this unit changed the code to the door prior to our departure time. My young son and I were hence unexpectedly locked out of the unit (in the mountains, in December, without coats) on the day of our departure as we were taking the garbage out. There is also no cell phone service at this unit, so in order to reach the management company, we had to drive out of the neighborhood to place a phone call. I then had to call the company 5 times in order to reach someone. The man I reached was not apologetic about the company's lack of compliance with their own rental agreement (the agreement you sign states that you will access until 10 AM on the day of departure) or their negligence with unexpectedly inhibiting access to a remote unit in the mountains with no cell service in the winter. Avoid this property.

I really wanted to like this place, but after my stay, I have mixed reviews. The mattress was very hard and I ended up sleeping on the sofa. The balcony was super small so I couldn’t really spend time out there with my dog as I had hoped. The microwave handle almost fell off when using it; the coffee pot was on its last leg as well. I didn’t feel welcomed by property management. They were very strict and made their check-in and checkout times abundantly clear. It rained the day I arrived so I waited in my car for an hour for the proper check in time. The house was dark and completely closed up when I got inside, not even the curtains were open. They sent a reminder that I must be out by 10 AM the night before I left so I was so nervous about the timing, I ended up locking myself out. They have an office a block away, but it was closed and I had to ask a neighbor to call them to get a temporary code to get the rest of my things. The condo is in a great location with a small dog and may consider giving it another try in another unit. It rained the entire time I was there so I didn’t get to enjoy the amenities or the location as I had hoped.. I work in hospitality management so my review on the PM is based on my professional experience, serving others.

Fantastic Rental, Surprise 3rd Party Rental Company Communication

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this is a GREAT rental property! It’s within walking distance of a few restaurants, the Sierra Boat Company, marina, mini golf, and Carnelian Bay where there’s a pebble beach with kayak/SUP rentals and a beach cafe.The rental is very clean, exactly like the pictures on the website. Master bed is comfy. Pillows are super thin. We ended up grabbing the pillows from upstairs for extra comfort. There were thicker pillows in the master closet but no extra linens for use. No A/C but each room is equipped with a small fan (a box fan is provided for the living room) and nice windows that crank open so you can let in the cool mountain air while you sleep. We didn’t have any trouble staying cool. I feel like the property’s affiliation with First Accommodations should be disclosed/added to the rental listing to avoid confusion for future renters. When I booked through VRBO and got the VRBO confirmation email, I thought my rental was set to go (just like any other rental through the website). Nope. All of First Accommodations’ emails went to my junk email and I didn’t even realize I had more paperwork/emails to respond to before my arrival. They ended up calling me 2 weeks before my arrival and we got everything worked out. Just wish I would have known! I will say that it IS very dark, especially in the living room/kitchen area, due to low natural light sources. It didn’t bother us, since we were gone most of the day, but something to consider if you plan to be “home” during the daylight hours. A positive to the “cave-like” nature of the rental is that it stays very cool throughout the day even when it’s hot outside. Overall, we’d 100% stay at this rental again! It was perfect for our summer vacation to Tahoe!

The unit was so quiet, clean and well stocked and we will totally stay again if/when we return to the area!
