Our small cabin is 720ft from the beach! It’s 100ft from Tahoe Backyard which hosts markets, community events, food trucks, live music, Chickadee Art Collective & Bear Belly Brewery. If beer is not your jam-you can head over to Las Panchitas to have a margarita and an authentic Mexican meal on the patio (just a stones throw away). Experience all that Kings Beach has to offer right out the front door, it’s truly that close to everything.
The space
Our 600sqft cabin has a great layout & feels bright & spacious. The space (and STR permit) does not allow for more than 4 guests. Please respect our occupancy limit as we could loose our permit to share our home if it is violated.
The living room has a gas fireplace that is controlled by a thermostat for your comfort. There is also a wall heater in the main bedroom. Both beds have dual controlled heating pads during the winter season.
There is a ceiling fan in the main bedroom & a wall mounted fan in the loft.
The sleeping loft requires climbing a ladder to access. It is not suitable for small children or those who have mobility issues due to the falling hazard. It has a low ceiling therefore the mattress is not on a frame & you will NOT be able to stand up to walk around.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with the exception of a full sized oven or
dishwasher. There is a large toaster oven that is big enough to cook a 9”x13” dish in.
The coffee maker is a Keurig & Peet's Major Dickinson K-Pods are provided. We also have a hot water kettle & a pour over coffee pot. (Bring your own grounds) There is no formal dining table, the kitchen is eat-in style. The island serves as a table.
The bathroom has a shower stall, no bathtub. The bathroom has a blow dryer for your convenience. We provide a bar of soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner.
We have Ring cameras on the exterior of our home. We respect our guests privacy & view footage only when necessary.
The wi-fi is amazingly fast & there is a small desk area in the main bedroom with a Smart Monitor. Perfect for remote work or watching TV from the bed (It is mounted on a swing arm)
We have a small front porch that's perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening beverage.
We love our home & can’t wait for others to enjoy it as much as we do.
Permit No. STR22-6932
Guest access
There is parking on site. You will probably not use your vehicle much once you arrive, unless you are adventuring outside of town. Walking or biking is a breeze here since everything is so close to our location.
Other things to note
This home is located in the hustle and bustle of Kings Beach. If you’re looking for a quiet cabin in the woods, this would not be a good fit.
Lake Tahoe is beautiful. However there can be winter storms, high winds, and snow. Smoke from wild fires is possible too. We are not responsible for road closures and associated travel delays, please plan ahead for these events. Travel trip insurance can help mitigate these risks and we suggest it for guests. We also have bears, coyotes, bugs, and spiders in our area. Do NOT leave any food in your car- bears here are capable of opening car door and you don’t want that.
Our home does NOT have AC-as most homes in Tahoe do not. We have fans and windows in each of the bedroom areas, and most evenings cool down considerably in the Tahoe area.
The house is less than 15 minutes from Northstar, and you can ride the free local TART bus that picks up near the house for free! Keep in mind- in the Sierras it snows here, sometimes a LOT! In those events, there will be times where roads get closed, and plows are not able to clear the roads, sidewalks, and driveways as fast as one would hope. Please be patient and understand that these are difficult jobs that take time. Plan ahead for your trip, and we always suggest acquiring trip insurance. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we are not responsible for winter weather or travel delays. We have a snow plow services that helps maintain our driveway and path, but not unless there is more that 4" of snow. Don't forget to try out the sledding at the Tahoe Vista Regional Park, our kids love it in the winter time.
Another winter time bonus to our location is that Tahoe Dave's Ski & Snowboard rental shop is at the end of our street! You can easily walk to the rental spot, then catch the bus over to Northstar for some excellent powder days!
Do to a severe owner allergy we can not accommodate any animals in our home. This includes Service and ESA animals. We have an approved exception for this filed. Please DO NOT book this home with the intent of bringing animals. Your stay will be cancelled, and no refund given.
