We stayed Monday -Thursday with my husband and infant along with my mom and sister. We had a great time as a family and midweek meant the beaches were not too crowded and traffic was great! We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. We cooked, we hot tubbed, we had a grand time! The short walk to Kings Beach was a highlight with the little one. The original stairs did present a challenge regarding noise for my infant, but white noise seemed to limit the issue. Would love to stay again.
The cabin was such a cozy and relaxing time for our family after Christmas. The hot tub was wonderful. The cabin was clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching movies, soaking in the hot tub and playing board games.
My friends and I had a good time! The quarters are a little tight but very comfortable and cozy. We read by the fireplace, walked by the lake, and soaked in the hot tub under the stars. We felt all our needs were provided for in the well-stocked kitchen and with plenty of cozy blankets for cuddling
Really enjoyed Eileen and Mikes cabin! Great location, loved the hot tub, enjoyed the hot tub! Nice to have items for cooking and cleaning on premise too. Have recommended this cabin to skiing friends 😊
We greatly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I stayed for my 40th birthday and we had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful and the hot tub made the stay extra special! It was nice to have the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The owner was extremely helpful and immediately available when we needed some assistance. We will be staying here again!!
The cabin had a cool, rustic vibe with nice, modern upgrades for a very comfortable stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Communication with the property manager was easy and speedy. Yard was completely fenced, which was great for our dogs. Would absolutely stay here again!
Great cabin. Kitchen had all the amenities. Nice towels in the bathroom. The kids enjoyed the games and puzzles. It was lovely being so close to the lake and such a short walk from the actual beach.
Quant home nestled next to the lake. Perfect location for Northshore activities. Plenty of amenities provided for biking, hiking, and kayaking. Finish your day next to the fire pit or in the hot tub.
My family and I had a great time at this cabin playing in the snow. We were lucky enough to get some good snow while we were there. It is a convenient location to Kings Beach, stores, restaurants, Lake Tahoe and also Northstar. Very responsive and accommodating host. Highly recommended.
We loved the cozy cottage with great location. Owner was always prompt to answer all questions. We loved using the kayaks, hot tub and fireplace! It was very clean and nice! I wish it was closer to beach but 10-12 minute walk wasn’t too bad.

Perfect location!
We stayed at this lovely cabin during our annual Lake Tahoe vacation. We brought bikes and our own kayaks; plenty of places nearby to use both. I especially loved the outdoor space and being able to see the lake. We rent a place every year and this was by far our favorite! Thank you to our hosts for providing everything we needed!
We went for a quick getaway with our dogs so they could see snow. We will absolutely be booking this cabin for any of our Tahoe trips. We’re already talking about coming back (without the dogs) to stay again and inviting family from Las Vegas. Can’t recommend this cabin enough, perfect size, beautiful, peaceful, the lake is right there, hiking spots are close by. We’re going to be repeat customers for sure!
We have stayed at Chipmunk 4 or 5 times and love it every time. The wall of windows looking out at the pines and lake make it very calming. We love to watch the snow fall through the pine trees and cover the ground with a white blanket. The hot tub is amazing to take in the scenery, serenity and to soak off the aches after skiing. Everything is very clean and cozy. We want to come back each year!
We stayed in Chipmunk Lodge with our two boys (ages 6 and 9) for the weekend and really enjoyed our time there. The hot tub is very nice and worked perfectly. We enjoyed watching the sunset while relaxing in it. Easy location to walk to the beach/shops/restaurants and in a quiet neighborhood. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy and the beds were comfortable. Tastefully decorated with nice little accent light touches inside and outside. We are hoping to come back during ski season!
This cabin was close to the water and also the restaurants and walking paths. The lower level has been updated with newer appliances and flooring. Very homey! We took a day trip to Donner Pass Memorial Park and enjoyed staying in on a cold day. Just south of the cabin was a walking trail right next to the lake. It was an easy paved walk with spectacular views. Eileen had an easy check in process and informed us of an internet issue during the Thursday Night Football game. Great stay!!
We rented the peppery mainly for its outdoor space: nicely landscaped, suitable for dogs, hot tub for the kids with table very nearby for us to do puzzles, read, and enjoy the lake view. We arrived and this Tahoe oasis made my heart happy!
On top of the outdoors, the kitchen was even more functional (VERY well stocked) and comfortable than expected, the living room was comfy and inviting for nighttime family movies, and the bedrooms were simple and comfortable (thank you for the very effective fans!)
Moreover, the 5 minute walk to Kings beach was accented by the availabilty of the property's beach chairs and rolling cart.
Though we try to stay somewhere new every time we visit Tahoe, this is our favorite so far and I'd love to return soon!

My husband Mike and I have lived in the mountains for 35 years. We have always enjoyed the outdoor recreation, serenity and scenic grandeur of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Many awesome memories have been made with friends and family. We have now fulfilled a dream of owning and sharing a rustic Tahoe cabin with family and new friends from near and far. The breath-taking views from this cabin and the many activities from our doorstep will leave visitors invigorated and inspired. Mike and I look forward to sharing ideas for exploration, good eating, community events, and/or special hidden locations for quiet reflection that only locals would know about. We are very excited to welcome travelers to Chipmunk Lodge.
Why they chose this property
The rustic Tahoe charm of this cabin is exactly what Mike and I were looking for to both share and enjoy with our family and new friends. The location cannot be beat. It's in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. Come to this cabin and you don't have to get in to your car for the rest of your stay.
