I used to live in this beautiful area and it was such a treat to be able to stay somewhere right in the middle of all that is historic downtown Orlando. It is such a unique and beautiful neighborhood and NOTHING like other areas of the city--but you have to experience it to understand that. Dyna's spot is smack in the midst of it, and just a few minute's walk to the little bars, bistros and quaint places to gather, including Lake Eola. She is a lovely person and we could not have enjoyed staying at her spot more. The pool and hot tub was an extra treat, too! This is a wonderful value and will look forward to coming back!*If you do stay here, do yourself a favor and go check out The Wellborn for drinks and/or tapas. It's a little odd to find and be sure to park at the office garage next door, but it is to die for! I was there for a pre funeral gathering, but I have rarely seen such a magical little outdoor scene. It's just sublime.
This was an awesome/fantastic get-away for myself and both of my adult daughters' birthdays. The location was fantastic for the week-end with lots to do in walking distance and the home was complete w/Reba to help us not miss our own puppies as much. Definitely would love to stay again for future concerts in Orlando area. Thank you
Dyna was a lovely host and her dog Bella, was the best! We enjoyed the hot tub the most as FL was going through a cold front during our visit, but mid 60s -mid 70s was a treat compared to the weather we were having back North. Lake Eola Park is walking distance and a must to visit. (Nice restaurant, bike rentals close by, swan boat rentals, events, wildlife) The house is going through some upgrades which Dyna informed us about before arrival, so there were some appliances there ready for installation etc. but it did not impact our stay. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels/ pool towels/ blankets for the 4 of us. If booking a larger group, I might request more linens. I was traveling with my friend and 2 teenagers, so I found the spilt lay out was nice. The kids had their own space, living room, bathroom and bedroom to hang out. We didn’t use the pool, due to weather besides a teenager dare to jump in once, but definitely used the hot tub daily. We will miss Bella, and thank you for hosting us Dyna!
This was an amazing experience. I loved everything about this home . The pool was beautiful. I felt so comfortable . The kids had a blast. It was super clean and it really made our stay unforgettable. The host was so sweet and friendly she welcomed us like we were family. This is 10 plus stars ⭐️ on our behalf. The location was a plus as well. we were close to the attractions too . Thank you 🙏 so much for our stay ❤️
We arrived at the property just before dark and the host insisted on giving us a tour and that should’ve been my first red flag. The host then met us at the front of the property after about 10 minutes and seemed inebriated as she insisted on giving us a tour. Up till this moment, we had no idea that the owner of the property lived not just next-door but connected and sharing a communal space.. forging forward, we followed her around as she pointed out different oddities and unpleasant situations, stating that she had been vandalized just prior to us showing up. The properties smelled of mildew. The third bedroom was no longer a bedroom and was now a pullout couch and the entire house was filthy.. There was a stove in the entryway, a broken stove upstairs in the kitchen , food stains on the wall, dust and water damage everywhere and not a clean piece of linen in sight. I have over 100 pictures to compare with the actual listing photos as well as videos, but VRBO would not accept them and continuously told me that only the host could offer any type of recompse. Dyna made sure to let us know that she uses this property to pay for her cancer treatments, and while our heart breaks for the fact that she was sick, it doesn’t excuse the fact that we dealt with a mildew filled structure, dirty walls, dirty linens, dirty dishes, filthy pillows, and a shared communal space where the dog rooms loose and uses the entirety of the backyard as their bathroom, including the fake grass.
We loved the property! The pool and hot tub were an amazing bonus. The location was a 15 minute walk to the events that we were visiting for so it was the perfect location. I highly recommend.

Family Halloween Night
My husband and I rented the place for our family to stay for a Halloween game night in. The property was nice and clean for the most part and very few things were broken. However, the host did not inform us until the walkthrough of the house (which I was not expecting), that their dog would be in the backyard and pool while we were there, because they live in the connecting house, which I did not appreciate too much. The host also showed up unannounced to send pictures of the clean pool which we’d already seen as some of the family were inside the house. It was a nice gesture, but didn’t make us feel any more comfortable about the whole thing. I felt pressured to not say anything since we were already there and the place was paid for and all of our family is from out of the state. Overall, the place and owners seem nice and the area is beautiful, but I would not come here again due to the lack of privacy.
Most of the house is on the 2nd floor. The pool is amazing and the dog was supet friendly and loves to play. I would stay here again with no hesitation.
The owner was amazing in helping me with my questions or concerns. Love the location and walking distance to restaurants and hair salons. 5 mins drive from everything I needed to go to which was a big plus.

Great property, Great location. Hospitable owner, Can't wait to return!!
This unique property was in a great location and we truly enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to many restaurants and activities. Lake Eola nearby with a farmers market and water activities. Wonderful pool. 2 bedrooms on the first floor with full bath and upper-level has a full kitchen, family room, and full bath.

The property & owner were very interesting as well as attentive. I stayed here with my girlfriend in order to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. We were successful. Duna, took time to greet us and make a connection while educating us on the history of the property and community. I would definitely recommend. Thanks, Dyna

Good location, but...
If you like staying in youth hostels, you’ll like this property. Very nice owner, but the property is messy and rundown. Note also that both bedrooms are on the lower level while one of the two bathrooms is on the upper level.
We got there and met manager, property and pool were trashed and garbage everywhere. Property manager was acting unstable. We went inside to discuss what to do and she text me to leave her property. We were stuck with nowhere to go with a ten year old child. Total disaster
My family stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. The location is central with easy access to major highways to get wherever you are going. The pool is wonderful and heated (at no extra charge), and Dyna was readily available to help whenever needed. They even adjusted the hot tub to a lower temperature for us since we had young children (ages 1 & 4). The only surprise we experienced was their dog hopping the small fence separating the host side and rental side of the yard the morning of checkout. The dog is friendly by all accounts, we just were caught off guard with small kids in tow. Dyna was very responsive though so it didn't really affect our time there. Would highly recommend and would love to stay here again if we need to stay in Orlando!
Side note: This did not affect us, but for others planning a stay, the kitchen/dining is on the second floor so for anyone with accessibility concerns, that would be a need-to-know and I couldn't tell from looking at the pictures prior to booking.

Dyna was so very cool and knowledgeable. The home was more spacious than we thought and there was an extra bedroom. New washer/dryer, fridge, coffee makers. The hot tub was a nice break from the cold ( we came down from 40 degree weather to 84). Anything we needed we just had to ask. We felt completely welcomed, comfortable and had all the privacy we wanted. She even offered her yard as a party space for our friends birthday party which we may take up on another time ( and will invite her!) . We drank wine in the hot tub and enjoyed a break from our busy schedules. Thorton park restaurants and night life is awesome and within walking distance. Lake Eola was bright and beautiful as well. Don’t really need to go to downtown Orlando to have a good time. Will definitely save this place and book it again because there was so much for us to do and we only stayed 3 nights. Thanks again Dyna for making our friends birthday a memorable one
Nothing like the listing. Very rude property manager. The yard was like a Junk Yard. So bad we couldnt stay, only stayed 5 minutes and drove back to Michigan. The jacuzzi tub is the size of a postage stamp. Management controls the temperature. The pool is not heated!! The yard is rundown, fences falling down, shared with the owner.
The house was a mess with construction items in the middle of the floor, cigarette burns on the bed, the house smelled like smoke and it was not a safe house for my young children to be in. The house also smelled like a cat peed on the floor. Homeowner promised me a refund because we couldn’t stay, which I still haven’t gotten 4 months later.
My husband and I both turned 70 this last year. We are in good health and we knew about the fact that the bedrooms and one bath are on the ground floor and the kitchen, living room and 2nd bath are on the upper floor. There is a perfect railing on the stairs to hang on to, so we managed nicely. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of towels and also bedding, the full size washer and dryer work great and of course the saltwater pool was nice. The internet connection affects the television reception occasionally. The owners who live next door are very helpful and their dog Bella is very sweet and never barks. Bella loves the pool, so you do need to let the owner know if you prefer not to have her in the pool area. The area around the pool could use some care, but we swam everyday and it was great. The neighborhood is nice and the proximity to restaurants within walking distance is a big plus.
The owner never put check-in info into the app and then never responded to my messages through the app before our arrival. I had to knock on their door. Thankfully the reviews of the property gave me a clue that the owners live next door to the rental. After we checked in the owner came over to clean up the dog poop that my husband pointed out was scattered throughout the shared yard. We didn't hear from them again. We did however see them in the pool while we were there. We did not realize that it was a shared pool they would be using during our stay. Little bugs throughout the bathrooms. Dead bugs throughout the living space. Dirty glassware. Dirty toilets and grimy showers. It was obvious that the rental space had not been recently cleaned and they hadn’t even done a simple walkthrough before our arrival. I will say - the sheets on the beds were clean and the beds were really comfortable! Overall it’s a cute old house that definitely needs some updates. It is in a great location!! My main complaint is that it was not worth the expensive cleaning fee!!!! I’d really love for that to be refunded if possible.
When we arrived in Orlando, she told us she rented the property to someone else for the night we were supposed to arrive, even though I had booked the property two months in advance. She offered another "property" which was a house people (I assume her and her kids?) had been staying in. Their food was still in the fridge, the house was dirty, and there was STUFF everywhere, )ladders, garbage bags full of who knows what, picture frames and random things everywhere. It looked like a storage building. When we pulled up she and her kids were carrying things out and packing it up in their car. We told her we would not be staying at the property for that night, and since we were moving anyway, we wanted to cancel the total reservation. She agreed to refund our money, but now she refuses. I have made multiple attempts to ask for my money back, but she will not. She states the property was available for "the rest of the stay, besides the first night", so she refuses. It was a LOT of money. She even refused to give my money back for the first night that she booked the property for but we couldn't stay there because there were other people in the house. I guess we will have to pursue legal action at this point. DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM HER.
Poor accommodations that ruined my family vacation
I'm an experienced VRBO renter and have booked properties all over the US. Never have I had such a bad experience as I did with this property in April 2021.
To begin, the day of check-in it was very difficult to get in touch with the property owner. My family (two adults, two grandchildren) were driving across Florida and I was flying cross-country to meet them. Using the contact number provided, we both tried to call and get a door code and check-in procedures. All calls went to voicemail and the mailbox was full so no messages could be left. After several text messages, we received a response hours later that contained nothing but four digits. No info on a lockbox location or procedures, no "sorry I have been unreachable" - nothing.
I was flying in later so my daughter and her family arrived first. This property is advertised as sleeping 6 yet there are only sleeping accommodations for four people - one King and one double bed. There is a sofa in the living room but it is NOT a sofa bed - it is a sofa with a drawer containing a set of wadded up sheets which I guess you are supposed to use to crash on the couch, but that does not justify advertising a home that sleeps 6 people. Still this was just the beginning of the problems.
The home was NOT clean at all. I don't mean it was untidy - I mean it was dirty. There was broken glass in front of the door between one BR and the backyard, there were crumbs all over the kitchen counter, a cockroach under the toaster, crumbs on the counter of the downstairs bathroom, hair in the shower, and the towels (all 5 of them for 6 people) smelled moldy. I have photos of all these things. My family (who had just driven 6 hours) was so put off by the appearance of the home they immediately left in search of a hotel. After my flight landed they sent me the photos so I could contact the owner (as I was the renter on the contract). I arrived late and had no luck making contact so I decided to inspect the home for myself.
I am sorry to say my family did not exaggerate the state of the property. I was forced to spend the night (on top of the sheets) because it was too late to make other arrangements. The next day we all checked in to a hotel and received a rude, unprofessional response from the owner with no remedy and a scolding for complaining at all. For the first time in a year we were able to get together and this property and its nasty owner ruined our experience entirely.
