This NEW modern fresh 2 bedroom apt. near the beach has a breezy patio and balcony with a beautiful garden view. A short 3 minute walk will take you to fully serviced sandy beaches in Kalamaki including many amenities such as beach bars, restaurants, shops, cafés, spa services , gyms making it an ideal choice for a relaxing and worry free stay. Only a 10 minute walk away is a green park area available for a morning jog , brisk walk or a bike ride.
Our home consists of a spacious modern open plan living area designed for relaxing in front of the large flatscreen smart TV , playing a game or maybe reading your book . This area opens onto the beautiful outdoor area with table and comfortable chairs where you may enjoy your breakfast in the morning or the starlight in the evening. All rooms have separately controlled Air conditioning and high speed WiFi . Free on site designated parking is available with additional street parking.The bedrooms are equipped with luxury quality mattresses as well as exquisite bedding, designed in a clean modern yet romantic atmosphere. Our sheets and pillow cases are 100% fine COTTON. The master bedroom has a luxurious double bed and the other, two single beds that can be brought together with a built in system to make another double bed. A comfy sofa in the living room is available for a child to sleep. Our modern kitchen is equipped with built in washing machine, oven, microwave oven and refrigerator. All cupboards have soft close mechanism for absolute quiet.You can also enjoy Nespresso coffee machine, coffee maker , kettle , toaster and panini press ,breakfast will be ready in no time!

Modern, clean and simple flat in Chania

My family and I stayed for 1 week in this flat in Galatas. It was a perfect jump off point for day trips into the country side of Crete. It had everything you needed close by, and the host was very friendly and helpful.

We had a nice week in a nice appartment. Only not so good was the walk to the beach with the stroller, as the walk on the main road walkway was small

Infrastructure of main roads is out of our control of course , but in small towns and villages many times there are no sidewalks at all , in our area we do have sidewalks although not as wide as you may have liked . I know it is a bit of an inconvenience but I am positive the landscape and the beautiful beach made up for it .

Great Apartment - Perfect family set up

The overall stay was excellent! Well provisioned for a family of 4 or two couples. Only one bathroom so do plan your needs around that. Shirt distance to beach and local shops which are well stocked for all needs. If you're driving you have parking there. Local buses are excellent and regular. The owners are super helpful and very friendly. We could not recommend more highly, and would definitely return!

Great apartment

We were very happy with the apartment. It was spacious, clean and convenient for the beach and going into Chania which was our reason for choosing it. The two queries we had were answered immediately. We will certainly look to rent the apartment again if we return to this part of Crete. We would recommend the apartment and owners.

Great neighbourhood

This property is new, clean, and fully equipped with everything needed for a week's stay. The hosts were gracious, very helpful, and answered queries quickly. They went out of their way to help us get a package sent from Athens. The apartment is located on the ground floor, in a family neighbourhood. It bustles with kids, dogs, and cats in the late afternoon, but is quiet after 21:00. There are small grocery stories and a selection of restaurants nearby. Kalamaki beach, an easy walk, has a gentle sand entry to clear water. A major supermarket is nearby and the Old Town is 12-15 min drive. AC and wifi worked well. We loved the location and the property.

No peace and quiet here.

First of all the positives, the apartment is absolutely spotless, plenty of utensils, great wifi really comfortable seating area all appliances are modern of really good quality. The manager quick to respond to any questions.The patio is described as having a beautiful garden view in fact it looks straight into the neighbors windows a couple of metres or so away not a breezy garden view. The main problem we found was noise from very close neighboring properties namely dogs in front dogs above and dogs behind also we were looking for peace and not screaming children and babies. The man adjacent to the patio played music so loud on occasions we had to close all doors and windows. Now most of this is out of the owners control, i realise that,but only one morning in fourteen were we not woken up before 7o'clock. Certainly not a peaceful location as stated in the description of the property. By the way only able to get youtube on the tv..If you are an early riser and out all day this property is ideal for you.

Terrence thank you for your review ,our property is spotless very modern and comfortable. It is located in a quiet residential area of pristine Kalamaki beach . Our description is accurate as there is a garden view in the front seating area and a balcony with fruit trees and flowers on the side seating area as shown in our pictures. Sounds from the outside world are unfortunately out of our control. It is obvious from our pictures that we are in a residential area and not a secluded area on a mountain in the middle of woods. Our location is a brief 5 minute walk from the beach in a very touristy area . Our Tv is a smart TV and therefore someone with knowledge of it's use can watch almost anything they wish. I remember you requesting I come over and show you how the TV works as you did not know how to use the internet to connect to all available content ,which I did happily . A brief lesson is not enough I guess to get savvy enough to enjoy all content . All the best .

Beautiful apartment with caring owners

We stayed for 5 nights in May with our 4 and 2 year olds. It’s a 5 to 10 minute walk down the hill to a sandy beach (there are 4 or 5 beaches within walking distance). The apartment is on the ground floor and set amongst shrubs in a quiet residential spot. We didn’t hire a car, so Stella kindly organised a taxi from the airport with car seats for us. We were greeted by Stella’s daughter, Emily, who was warm, welcoming and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. I have stayed in over 20 places in Greece over the years and I honestly think this apartment had the best decor of all of them. The apartment is spacious and was perfectly clean. We were given some home made Easter biscuits and a local bottle of wine on arrival, which was a lovely touch. In advance of our arrival, Stella checked how we would like the beds arranged for the kids - very thoughtful. They had even brought a little step so our kids could easily reach the sink and the toilet 😀 There is a Synka shop just around the corner which was akin to a UK co-op / Sainsbury’s local’ shop in size, plus there are some good local restaurants. Stella organised our taxi transfer to Almyrida and was happy for us to check out a little later at 12:00. We made use of the smart TV and there was a Netflix account logged in, which meant we could keep the kids entertained quietly early in the morning, which was an unexpected bonus 😀 WiFi worked well and we brought our Eco dot for musical entertainment. If you want to be right on the beach or have sea views, this apartment isn’t for you. If you want a smart, spacious apartment, with welcoming hosts a short stroll to the beach (as we did), I would whole heartedly recommend this apartment to you.

Appartamento molto comodo, molto pulito, molto curato, ben arredato anche nella cucina. Proprietaria molto discreta ma anche disponibile: abbiamo chiesto una pentola e un coltello per il pane e ce lo ha portato il giorno stesso! Aria condizionata, posto auto, bel terrazzo per eventuali colazioni o pasti o relax la sera. In un contesto urbano di piccole casette, a pochi km dal centro di Chania, vicinissimo a una bella spiaggia e molto comodo per visitare tutta la zona ovest dell'isola. Very comfortable apartment, very clean, very nice, well furnished even in the kitchen. Very discreet but also helpful owner: we asked for a pan and a bread knife and she brought it to us the same day! Air conditioning, parking, nice terrace for any breakfast or meals or relaxation in the evening. In an urban context of small houses, a few km from the center of Chania, very close to a beautiful beach and very convenient for visiting the entire west of the island.

We had a great visit though way too short. Stella made sure everything went smoothly to the point of being sure we had breakfast items the first day because we arrived very late, 12:30 AM. Dieses Appartement ist einfach wunderbar. Von der Sauberkeit über die Ausstattung ist alles PERFEKT! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Appartement ist liebevoll und modern eingerichtet, alles war mehr als ausreichend vorhanden und der Zustand neu- und hochwertig. Außerdem muss man wirklich den mehr als freundlichen Empfang und Umgang mit der Vermieterin erwähnen, die jederzeit ansprechbar war, auf Fragen unsererseits umgehend Rückmeldung gab und sich sogar die Zeit nahm, uns Empfehlungen für Ausflüge und Restaurants zu geben. Auch die Lage ist perfekt. In ruhiger Wohngegend, fußläufig zum Strand, zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Wir sind erst 2 Tage wieder zu Hause, wir würden aber am liebsten sofort wieder zurück. Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir spätestens im nächsten Jahr wieder zu Gast ein dürfen. Danke nochmals für alles an Stella :-)

Wonderful apartment close to the beach.

What a great way to enjoy the Chania area. The apartment was very comfortable and modern. A quick walk to a nearby beach, bus stop close by and local restaurants. Emily was very helpful with suggestions for our stay. If you have time, visit Balos beach. What an amazing excursion! I would definitely suggest this apartment for your stay.

The Patarnello is superb, they were wonderful people that respected our home 1000% .The apartment was as clean as when they arrived, they even watered the plants! We had a great communication and I loved telling them about the places to visit and where to eat with the locals ! Cretan food is great! It is very important for our guests to not only feel comfortable but also sincerely welcomed and for them to embrace the local culture and all it has to offer.
