Beautiful Log Cabin For Romantic Getaways 20 Acres

Our real log home has been recently renovated and completely redecorated.The cabin sleeps 4 but is really intended for a romantic couple's retreat. It has a loft with a queen log bed and furniture. The living room has a gas fireplace for snuggling on cold evenings. For extra guests there is a pull out sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room is furnished with a log table. On the deck you will find a gas grill, outdoor table and chairs, and a 4-person hot tub, great for star gazing. Central AC/Heat. Ceiling fan. Flat screen TV w/DVD and CD player. No local or cable tv provided. Hardwood floors throughout. Bed & bath linens provided. Hot tub towels provided. No Pets. No Phone. No internet. Limited cell service.

The cabin is located right off RT 328 and is close to the State Parks. Minutes away from Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, canoe liveries, and zip lines. Nelsonville is a short drive away and Athens is a mere 30 minute drive on RT33. Walmart, Kroger, and Save A lot are very close for all your grocery needs.

You may need four wheel or all wheel drive in the winter months.

Quiet, clean, well-appointed, conveniently located cabin in the woods -a perfect relaxing getaway!

We loved the hot tub and the fireplace, and generally how clean and well kept the place is. Though we didn't use it much, the kitchen is by far the most well-provisioned (with quality dishes, cookware, utensils, appliances, etc) of any short term rental we've ever stayed in. Even though it's nestled into a hill surrounded by woods, it is only just outside of town, with a small grocery store not even 2 miles away -best of both worlds! The welcome note with bottle of wine was a nice touch too.

The hosts really do seem to care for this property. You never know what to expect coming from the city with a cabin in the woods, but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival at the cleanliness and attention to detail the hosts demonstrated here. It had nice hospitality touches like a hotel. There was wine and hand written note upon arrival, fully stocked kitchen, fancy folded towels, etc. No reception was nice too because if we needed anything we could just go to the end of the driveway!
