If peace and solitude is what you’re looking for, you’ve found it! Located at the end of a secluded country road, Rockin’ Star Ranch is a luxurious getaway where time seems to stand still. RSR is about escaping urban life to re-connect with family, friends and all that nature has to offer. This VRBO listing is actually 1 of 10 different listings located on the ranch (sleeps 50+ adults) Twinkling star can be booked under this listing or the entire ranch can be booked under its own Rockin Star ranch listing. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor bar, the pool, fish in our ponds, observe and maybe even feed the animals, explore our property, and tour our event venue. Our amenities include an outdoor kitchen, pool, large pastures, tire swings, courtyards, cabins, fishing ponds (catch and release), the woods, and a game room which is located in the garage of the main house. We had an incredible stay at Darrel’s Texas ranch! The cabin was charming, rustic, and incredibly comfortable, offering stunning views of the wide-open landscape. Great Anniversary Get Away

The Ranch and Owner were Fantastic!! We took a long walk in the pasture with the cows and horses, went on a hayride, went swimming, cooked breakfast and dinner with everyone and even grabbed a small nap mid afternoon! Definitely check this place out.

Great country retreat!

Absolutely loved our stay at Rockin Star Ranch. Perfect place to kick back and enjoy the country. My daughter loved visiting with the animals and even had the opportunity to take a horseback riding lesson with Darrell. Already making plans with my family to rent out the entire ranch for a family reunion! Looking forward to our next visit.

Great getaway from city life

Rockin Star Ranch was the perfect weekend getaway for our group of moms and toddlers. Darrell was the best host and very kid friendly! The property had enough to keep the kids entertained while never having to leave the property. Lots of great hang out spaces and the pool/ fishing pond were the best. Lodgings were clean and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

The Great Escape

What a MUCH needed respite from our day to day. There was plenty to explore while still being laid back enough that we didn’t mind just hanging out in the cabin playing cards. Darrell was super nice and was easy to get in touch with if we needed anything. I highly recommend Rockin’ Star Ranch if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

Granddaughter trip

My husband and I took our 11 year old granddaughter to the ranch for three nights and we had a spectacular time! Darrell is a great host and took the time to show us the animals and the other cabins also gave us some history of the ranch. The pool is awesome and was especially refreshing in the extreme heat! The cabin had everything we needed. My granddaughter loved every minute of our stay! We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful Property

I have been to Rockin Star Ranch several times and love it! It is beautiful property and so peaceful. The "Star" cabins all have same layout but each one is decorated different. There is also the patio cottage and garden cottage which are a little larger and 2 "bunk" rooms in the arena which has a kitchenette and shared bath. And a large event center where they have weddings or basically any large event.

Weekend family visit

We spent a weekend at the ranch. Our daughter and niece (ages 6 and 7) really enjoyed the animals, fishing and playing in the loft. They must have spent three hours with the baby goats. Darrell was a great host and showed us around the property that he has taken such great care of. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much.

Super cute place with lovely views

Check in was a bit of a mess. They forgot we were coming, so it took a while to get entry into the rental. And it took several hours to cool off the cabin since the a/c was off. Otherwise it was a cute place with great views and nice pool.

A Texas treasure

My stay at the Rockin’ Star Ranch exceeded my expectations. The cabin was perfectly clean and well decorated, with all amenities available. The property itself is a little glimpse of heaven. Animals are roaming the pastures to greet you on your morning strolls. Rocking chairs on the patios to enjoy your coffee and take a deep breath in. Communication with the host Darrell was prompt. He was very helpful and kind. I will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Twinkling Star Cottage

From the moment we got there, Darrell was a gracious host. We have stayed in Twinkling Star twice now and both times it was exceptionally clean. The pool is gorgeous and even the towels are provided for us. The common area is lovely. We all cooked together, shared snacks and drinks and got along perfect with other guests. The hayride on Saturday night was magical as we were able to feed the animals and get to experience everything in the pasture that nature has to offer. We will definitely be back! Thank you Darrell for some amazingly memorable times!!

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful property located a short drive from Houston. Very short drive to Brenham for shopping, restaurants, parks, etc. My kids loved feeding the cows, riding horses and going fishing. The kitchen setup could be improved upon since everything is outdoors. There is only a microwave and small refrigerator in each cabin. Otherwise each cabin has a gas grill. There is a large outdoor kitchen (communal); however, if the weather is bad I would plan for a back up.

I’ve stayed at many rental properties, and this place went above and beyond! Host was amazing. Instantaneous communication. The property was gorgeous. Cabin was immaculate & had absolutely everything you could need plus more. We had a blast fishing at the gorgeous ponds, feeding and petting the animals, picking fresh peppers in the garden and swimming in the gorgeous pool. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. I can’t wait to bring out of town friends here for the perfect Texas ranch experience! The location is perfect as well, right between Austin and Houston. The only disappointment was that we didn’t plan a longer visit!!

Sisters perfect place

Being an on site host, Darrell was absolutely the best host I have ever had. He took us on a walking tour of the ranch sharing with us the whole time. Check in was 3, but we arrived at 11am for a “look-see” just as Darrell was texting check-in info; he told us to come on in. Every night the guests all gathered in the outdoor lounge complete with country sounds, gentle breezes and full moon. The horseback ride was a lesson on getting to know and handle your horse and about 2 hours long. Darrell patiently worked with us on horse safety, safe “in the saddle” know-how with humor, knowledge and a warm environment. The bungalow was so well done in decor and comfort. The people there were so friendly and helpful, the property was beautiful and the whole experience was one I really want to repeat over again…every second.

Nice countryside spot for the family

Loved the location for our family. The kids really enjoyed feeding the deer and the pigs and seeing the horses. I loved the quiet away from everyone. If you choose to stay, here are tips: 1. Don't use the big TV in the outdoor kitchen area. Instead, sit there and listen to the animals and country sounds. Why do you need Netflix when you're surrounded by beauty? 2. The pool is frigid. The heater is broken, so even when it's 90 outside, it is chilly! 3. The hot tub doesn't work. That was a letdown for my wife and me. 4. The hosts are super friendly and we felt right at home, so make sure you text them as they ask during booking. 5. The bunk/loft beds are high and the ladder is tricky even for an adult. I wouldn't leave any child under 6 up there. Our kids are 6 and 9. Our loft's gate was broken. 6. The fridge in the cabin is tiny and there isn't a big fridge in the open kitchen area. 6. Go during the week. Weekends seemed to get busy and louder (it's a wedding venue as well). Loved our time! We'll be back!

Beautiful....but...

I read the reviews...which were fantastic! I booked a 2 bedroom cabin for my mother and I. It failed to mention 1 of the bedrooms was in what amounted to a hay loft...with similar ladder. I'm too old to be climbing a ladder straight up to a loft. No TV at all, and the couch was not "sleepable". The owner was very accommodating. He moved us to a larger cabin with all beds on the main floor. There was a TV in the bedroom that didn't work, no cable, no internet and a DVD player that also didn't work. The kitchenette sink had no water supply for coffee. Had to use the bathroom sink for water. All in all, wonderful hosts, wonderfully decorated cabin and a beautiful property. Just don't expect hotel accommodations such as TV or internet.
