You will enjoy panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico from your two balconies. The house has a charming, cottage-style decor with an open floor plan. The living level has a full size, modern kitchen, a dining area, a half bath and a great room that opens up to a generous balcony for enjoying the breath-taking sunsets over the Gulf. Halcyon, which means calm, peaceful, and tranquil, is exactly how you will feel during your stay at my house.

For the safety and security of our guests and property, there are exterior security cameras that record both audio and video.

Unique location on an unmatchable beach

We have stayed at Halcyon House many times and keep coming back because it is restful, homey, has beautiful art throughout, and an unmatchable panoramic view. Kelly is a fantastic host, too.

As good as it gets

Halcyon was as good as advertised. By far the best vrbo we have rented. Bean point is special if u want to avoid resorts. Only disappointing part of the week was a meal at Sandbar. AMI is outstanding choice for vacation!

Wonderful home in a perfect location

Was a perfect place for a large family. Adjacent to the beach with a 3-minute walk to the water. Less than 15 minutes to Bean point. The property was clean and spacious with a nice “beachy” vibe. Appliances were new and easy to use, with lots of beach accessories available for use that were stored in the garage. We are already looking at coming back next year.

Excellent getaway!

This was our first trip to AMI. We had such a lovely vacation and the best part was staying at this beautiful property. Kelly, the homeowner, is incredibly nice, responsive and accommodating! The property was clean, beautiful and exactly as the pictures and descriptions online depict. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed! We loved being so close to the beach! We will definitely be reaching back out to book a stay at this home in the very near future!

Family Time in Paradise!

The Halcyon home is gorgeous…and the views from 2nd and 3rd floor balconies are breathtaking. Anna Marie Island is such a quaint beach town that we visit each year. Staying at Kelly’s home made this year’s trip so memorable. She pays attention to detail in her decor, the beds are comfy, and she provides bikes, beach umbrellas, and lots of other amenities! Kelly is gracious and friendly and communicates quickly. We loved our stay! Thank you for a wonderful family vacation!

Perfect Paradise

The property is nicely located near Bean Point and Pine Street on the north end of the island. The gorgeous views of the Gulf are unobstructed and plenty of balcony access to enjoy them all day long. The living space is well placed and functional for many people. Public beach access is adjacent, which wasn't too intrusive. Just a few issues with people using the driveway to unload and load for their beach day. The amenities were well stocked-found everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful Location

We had a wonderful stay! The home was just perfect, the location easy walking distance to shops, restaurants...So comfortable - the beds, the porch, the living room. The kitchen was well equipped. The Host was easily accessible and super helpful. Our flight was delayed and arriving very late. She went to house to leave an outside light on for us. So appreciated! We look forward to returning!

Stunning scenery, beautiful house.

This place is even better than the pics can tell! When I walked in and got the first glimpses of the ocean through the glass doors and windows, I got tears in my eyes. It is so overwhelmingly stunningly beautiful 😍 It's like you never leave the ocean cause even when you are in the house, you can always see the ocean 💙🌴 The house is clean and well stocked. The days at the house and ocean are relaxing, quite, peaceful and restful. We greatly enjoyed our stay!!

Another Wonderful Stay at Halcyon House

This was my sixth February as a guest at Halcyon House, and I can't imagine a more comfortable or better located place to spend four magical weeks. Kelly is exceptionally responsive and clearly committed to taking great care of her guests. The neighborhood is quiet and the views are as spectacular as described. Anna Maria has become an increasingly popular destination for good reason, which has meant an increase in traffic and busier restaurants. These can be managed with some forethought, and sticking closer to home when home is Halcyon House is no hardship.

Disconnect from Reality!

Communication was great, respond time was quick and we were able to decide last minute on our trip THANKS! The house is very well equipped, plenty of sand toys for our little ones & chairs etc. The view was spectacular, we saw rabbits almost every morning and a turtle. The house is beautiful, extremely cozy and the décor is so beachy refreshing. (Pretty neat door knobs, lol) Perfect path to the beach. The beach is clean and sandy perfect! We definitely will be booking next year perfect way to disconnect!

Pros and Cons

Of course this house is absolutely beautiful, functional and if you want a great beach vacation this is the place. All the previous reviews expressed are true. However when I search for houses there is a few things I really want to know. Beds- all were good except the bunk beds were torture chambers. Not enough blankets. Pillows were nice. The house looked clean but was neglected. I found hair in 2/3 of the shower drains. Gross. I found a very old grape (I think) in the kitchen on the floor. Banisters were dirty/sticky. There were no cleaning products to use myself. Water pressure was great. Immediately upon arrival @4 I found what I thought was a roach on the floor in the kitchen, the host returned my response to the “palmetto bug” two hours later. However after that message all texts/calls were answered promptly. We could not adjust the a/c in the house. The walk to the beach was not as far as it looked online. All the umbrellas for the beach were broken and once we figured out how to set up the camping tent that was a life saver. There is a walking path to the beach directly next to the house. That was a surprise! It took a few days to get used to seeing people walk so closely to the windows. It sounded like they were in the house if the slider was open. But if your used to neighbors I’m sure you wouldnt mind this as much. The weekends are much busier but minimal garbage on the beach! Wildlife was great! Close to shops and ice cream!

The view from this house can’t be beat! Being able to walk right out to the beach was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the beach amenities that were provided as well. It was so nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas available to us! We even enjoyed the sand toys! Sitting on the back deck enjoying a cocktail at sunset was a 5 star experience!

This is a great house. All the charms of an older home well remodeled, solid wood doors, well insulated walls, so you don’t hear anything in the house when you are in your bed. 2 of the 4 bedrooms have amazing views. My 13 year old loved being on the bottom level with direct access to outside and his own bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Lots of glasses. Could use some more plastic cups for beach. Bikes are great and lots of beach stuff in garage. Highly recommend. The only con is the house is on the public beach access. Was not an issue for me but some members of my family found that annoying on the busy days. It’s still very private even with walkers by.

I first sunk my toes into the soft AMI sand in 2013 and immediately knew this is where I was meant to be. The following year, I purchased my beach house overlooking the Gulf on beautiful Bean Point (Halcyon House.) While I enjoy making memories at my house with family and friends, it also brings be great joy opening it up to others to enjoy. In 2019 I decided to make the island my permanent home.

Why they chose this property

My house is on the desirable north end of the 7 mile island within walking distance of Anna Maria's unique shops and numerous restaurants. It is a quiet, residential area on what I believe is the most beautiful beach in the world.
