About this property

Large beautiful unique A-frame cabin, on the main road with easy access. Borders the National Forest with many nearby hiking and biking trails. Five minutes to Cloudcroft shops and restaurants. Private balcony upstairs, master bedroom with amazing view of trees and wildlife. Large porch with more great views. Large well-equipped kitchen. Air conditioning. Wifi and Netflix.This is cabin number 1. We have another independent cabin two floors below that we can rent also with private parking and entrance. Swing set and picnic area outside in the only shared area.

Family fun!

Sweet little low-key community with friendly folks and fun things to do. The house was nice with super comfortable beds, an excellent location that was easy to find, close to town, and easy to get back-and-forth from the amenities to the house if we needed something. HIghly recommend!.

Family snow vacation

A frame was perfect for our needs. Cozy, warm and fun. Grandkids loved the unique experience. Out in the country but close to town, convenient to the hwy... especially important when dealing with the weather variables.

Why they chose this property

This A-frame is in an historical area, we have at the land an old train trestle. By the end of the 1800s, a railroad started hauling timber from Cloudcroft New Mexico to Alamogordo. Because of the scenic beauty of this mountainous route, the idea of a tourist attraction was brought to fruition. This route ran from the early 1900's until 1948. Because of the high elevation (8,676 feet, 2644 m., one of the highest in the US) allows for a mild summer and snowy winter.
