Our North Haven home is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or to take a break from the city and work from a quiet remote location. A connected dining room, kitchen, and living room with high ceilings and lots of windows gives you a great place to gather, and a large yard gives you plenty of space to lounge, play, and grill. We spend a lot of time here with our two kids and always feel refreshed after spending time in this lovely spot.
Some specifics about the home:
The large table in the dining room seats 8, and there are two kids chairs and a high chair if needed. All pots & pans, dishes, and kitchen tools that you need to cook inside or grill outside are provided. The patio has a table with an umbrella and a grill, and the back deck features a retractable awning.
Two bedrooms have Casper queen beds, and the third bedroom has a full-sized bed and a twin. The third bedroom contains games, puzzles and books for kids. All bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, and plenty of linens, comforters, and pillows are provided.
There is a full bathroom and a half bath with laundry.
And a little bit about the neighborhood and area:
Our home is located on a quiet street, one mile from Foster Memorial Beach (Long Beach) and a 20-minute drive from ocean beaches. Lots of outdoor activities in this peaceful little neighborhood: Walk around the corner to a pond where kids can look for frogs, then head down the road to Sunset Beach to have a rock skipping contest & enjoy the eponymous evening view. Ride our two cruiser bikes to Long Beach, to town, or just around the neighborhood. One of our favorite jaunts is to take the bikes on the Ferry to Shelter Island and ride to Mashomack Preserve, a gem of a nature preserve.
Sag Harbor itself is a great walking town, loads of restaurants, galleries, bars, unique shops, and a movie theatre. The Long Wharf often hosts farmer markets and art fairs throughout the summer, not to mention the best ice cream shop in town (Big Olaf!). The Whaling Museum is a nice slice of days past, and is loaded with local history and flavor. As Sag is rather centrally located, a short drive can bring you to any of the Hamptons many attractions such as: Children's Museum of the East End, Montauk Lighthouse, South Fork Natural History Museum, Wolffer Estate & Channing Daughters (vineyards), Parrish Art Museum, apple picking (seasonal) etc.
