Great place out of the city

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rustic cottage. It was very comfortable and Diane & Skye were so friendly. The cats were an added bonus as they greeted us each morning and welcomed us back every evening with cuddles.Would highly recommend.

Great holidays in a rustic house

The house is comfortable, very clean and has everything you need for your holidays. Not far from the main road (A8) and very good beaches within 40 minutes like Santa Cruz Beach and Narradouro. Diane and Kevin are very kind people and helpful. Fully recommend the place.

Delightful property, great hosts, in terrific location

I loved my stay at Kevin and Di's rustic farmhouse, which was a perfect location to chill after a business conference in Lisbon. The property was idyllic - the goats, chickens and cats were wonderfully entertaining, and I had fresh eggs and plums while I was there. It was also a great location to explore the beaches and villages of the Atlantic coast, as well as Mafra and the walled village of Obidos - everything within a 30 minute drive and less than an hour from Lisbon. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Thanks Kevin and Di!

Charming landscape and perfect hosts

Dear Diane, Kevin and Skye, thank you for letting us live at your house. The country house seems to be in the "middle of nowhere" but in fact it is a perfect starting point to discover amazing destinations like the impressive coast line and beaches near Santa Cruz, the historic centers of Obidos, Peniche and Sintra. The rustic farm house is charming and provides a unique and peaceful home. The hosts are very friendly and are living next door. Cats, goats and other farm animals as well as the beautiful landscape add to the feeling of being welcome.

Idyllic countryside adventure

We had a fantastic experience here, the hosts are great people and the farmhouse property has a beautiful rustic style, very well kept, clean and comfy, with everything we needed. The courtyard is perfect for relaxing in a deckchair under the grapevine with a Gin and tonic ! Diane and the family while giving plenty of space and privacy are also really helpful and kind, offering us ripe figs, tomatoes and pears from the land. Our 3yo son and family dog were so happy to meet the animals which included hilarious goats and cats. There’s plenty to do in the area too, but we didn’t go far as we found it so relaxing at this place. Highly recommend, and hope to return!

Einfach ein tolles Ferienhaus, besonders für Familien.

Das Haus ist total schön und gemütlich. Das Grundstück ist traumhaft. Der Kletterbaum, die Ziegen und Katzen kamen bei den Kindern ganz besonders gut an. Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit. In der Umgebung gibt es außerdem vieles zu entdecken. Diane, Kevin und Skye waren super nett und haben uns bei Fragen immer gern geholfen. Einfach schön. Ich hoffe, dass wir schon ganz bald wieder an diesen wunderbaren Ort reisen werden.

Charmante fermette au coeur d'une forêt d'eucalyptus

Petite ferme très bien rénovée, authentique. Parfait pour les familles, nos 2 grands ados ont adoré le charme du patio, la quiétude de l'endroit, la compagnie des chats, les oeufs frais chaque matin! De nombreux lieux à visiter à moins d'1h. Des hôtes très serviables et chaleureux. Nous recommandons sans hésitation!

After years of traveling and experiencing life in various countries, we finally decided to lay down roots in beautiful Portugal. Drawn by the promise of a slower pace and more time spent outdoors, we relocated here to create a life that revolves around nature and family.

Our daughter, Skye, absolutely adores being outside, exploring and immersing herself in the natural beauty of the area. When we discovered this place, it felt like the perfect fit for our vision of a home where we could connect with the outdoors and create lasting memories as a family.

What makes this property unique

This unique rustic cottage, crafted from rammed earth, boasts thick walls that naturally keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Nestled on 3 hectares of serene land, the property is surrounded by a tranquil eucalyptus forest, offering a true retreat into nature.

Once an old pig farm, the grounds feature natural ponds that now serve as habitats for local wildlife, including turtles. It's an idyllic and peaceful setting, perfect for switching off and unwinding from the busyness of life.

Despite its rural charm, the cottage is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the motorway, ensuring easy access to nearby amenities. The property also includes a private courtyard, where you can enjoy stargazing with a glass of wine, soaking in the stillness of the night.
