I booked this home to stay with my family while visiting from out of state. We had 4 kids (all boys) with us and we wanted somewhere they could run out their energy without bothering anyone. This was the perfect place. They loved playing in the lofts and outside on the wrap around porch. Photos do not do it justice, it’s a cozy and spacious farmhouse. The hot tub was wonderful and there was even a generator when a storm caused a power outage. We also thought the food provided was such a nice touch that made us feel so welcomed. We will book again!

Would love to book again!

The property is absolutely beautiful, the owners are very gracious. It can be a little hard to find at first, but they give good directions. My friends and I are all saying how we would love to book this BB again for other occasions! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Wonderful!

The hosts were easy to contact and answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. Despite being out the country, cell service was fantastic. The rooms were clean and well thought out. We made a lovely breakfast from the ingredients provided and loved going to see the pigs. I would absolutely recommend this property to someone looking for a nice getaway with friends and family.

We love to give groups like yours an opportunity to have a great time. The house was left very clean. Unfortunately, the hot tub needed drained and scrubbed because house rules on use were not followed.

Relaxing, welcoming environment.

Our group of 8 had a great time at this cozy little farm. The house is clean and homey, cupboards and fridge were well stocked. We loved the fresh dairy and pork products, delicious and very much appreciated! We were very entertained watching the sow with her piglets, and the farm dogs were so friendly. Barb and Paul made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, Welcoming Space

We had a group reunion at this beautiful, welcoming space, and it was perfect. Barb and Paul are tremendously warm, and made sure that we had all the tasty things we needed for our stay. We all enjoyed wandering the farm, steeping in the hot tub, cooking group meals in the big kitchen, swapping stories around the fire pit, and taking in the rustling of the leaves as we sat on the back porch. This is a wonderful space that we deeply enjoyed, and we look forward to returning!

Wonderful Quiet place

We were in Athens for moms weekend and lucked out to be able book here due to a cancellation. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the hot tub, all the fixings for breakfast one morning, the hot water that was endless . We loved being able to have 6 of all together without being crowded but still being able to all share in the conversation and fun. The house and everything was as described in the listing. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable, clean, very thoughtfully prepared

This place is so thoughtfully prepared! It is a very rural setting on a working farm. Very private, quiet place to relax, reflect. Very clean home, thoughtfully prepared. Small gift items to purchase, if you choose. You will have everything you can possibly need here! The fridge is stocked with eggs, milk, sausage and bacon for breakfast. They also had some fruit, real maple syrup and almond milk which was really unexpected and appreciated so much since I am vegetarian. Paul very kind, friendly gentleman. I wish I had more time to enjoy this lovely place, but will return!

Vacation

Overall we were impressed with the house and area. It was very isolated which was nice. Enjoyed not having a TV for a week. Really the only complaint was the bed and breakfast advertising. Our impression was we would get farm fresh food every morning for breakfast. I didn't mind buying other meat from Paul, which was really good, but others with us who were splitting the cost were not happy with the breakfast situation. The top rack on the dishwasher was broken, so it was hard using it but we did.

Outstanding Property for those visiting Athens / Ohio U.

This property worked out perfectly for our extended family while we were visiting our daughter at Ohio University. Paul, the owner, gave us an outstanding history of the property and some of their farm endeavors.

motorcycle trip

challenging roads. some beautiful roads. The Windy Nine set of roads was well worth the trip. Great location but a little challenging getting in and out of the rental. Fantastic stay. Enjoyed the rental every night when we came back. Grilling, fires, quiet nights. Just the relaxing needed after our rides each day.

The pictures do not do this estate justice. It was a bit off the grid and I was worried after I read that there was no televisions but we worked on a puzzle, made videos, wandered the farm and had fashion shows. I learned so much about my children and grandchildren. Thanks for the experience.

Great experience!

Beautiful little country, wooded home. The inside was quaint and clean. Loved all the farm goods, fresh bread, etc. left for us. Just stayed overnight in preparation for Athens marathon the next warning, and it was the perfect peaceful overnight resting spot.

We stayed for OU's Mom's Weekend

My husband and I stayed on the farm for Mom's Weekend. My son and his girlfriend joined us one of our two nights, enjoying the opportunity to get off campus. They tested out the hot tub, took lots of photos and happily ate a home-cooked breakfast with the eggs and sausage supplied by the proprietors. The trip in and out from campus is tricky, especially at night, so we just packed up for the day and only slept at the farm. It was a lovely experience. We recommend it!

We had an excellent weekend here! It's Homecoming for OU and we were able to enjoy our time in Athens beacuse this place had everything we needed. The kitchen/dining/living area was great for hanging out. The breakfast items they stocked were delicious! The beds were cozy and we really enjoyed relaxing on the deck enjoying the view of the woods. We're ready to come back next year!
