Villa bon Bientu is a beautiful oceanfront home with private access to the sea and the breathtaking house reef "Paradise". Other beautiful dive sites and the best beaches of Curacao are close by.
Villa bon Bientu is a holiday home built during 2014/15 on the Jeremi Ocean Resort. The Villa is equipped with 24 solar panels and solarboiler, the carbon footprint is practical nihil. Bon Bientu means in Papiamento (local language) "good wind". Situated behind the highest mountains of Curacao, Villa bon Biento benifits from the cool trade winds and consequently the villa remains cool and it is seldom necessary to use the airconditioning.
Within Villa bon Bientu two spacious, sea facing apartments have been realised. The apartments have an outside dining/lounging area overlooking the Caribean Sea. The apartments are fully airconditioned and have a kitchen with granite countertop and a luxureous bathroom with walk in shower and double sink. Villa bon Bientu also has a pool, large sundeck and various private terraces. Terraces can be used for sunbathing, relaxation or just watching the ever changing sea with jumping fish and sometimes passing dolphins. Sunsets every day are beautiful and evenings in the jacuzzi, under the bright stars, are very romantic.

Villa bon Bientu has direct access to the magnificent blue water of the Cariben sea through its own dive stairs. Snorkeling and diving directly from your own terrace. Direct in front of Villa bon Bientu is the dive site "Paradise" with a healthy reef. For divers there is a rinsing station and outside shower.

Because Villa bon Bientu is located on the more remote western side of Curacao (35 kilometers from airport) you need a rental car. A rental also gives you the opportunity to further explore the island.

My wife and I stayed here on our hunneymoon. Amazing home with amazing views of the ocean and coastline. Well appointed with a nice pool and hot tub. You can snorkel right out front of the home where fish and coral are abundant. There are a number of amazing beaches within 15-20 minutes. Would definitely come back again…..

Our stay at the Villa was so amazing! My husband and I stayed for two weeks and loved every minute of it! The location is perfect as the snorkeling at the property is excellent. We saw so many Tangs, and an abundance of colorful fish, sea fans, and corals. Also saw an octopus and a spotted Moray eel moving around on the sea floor right off the ladder into the water. There are several wonderful beaches to explore in the area. Also we climbed Mt Christopholberg early one morning. The view from the top is breathtaking. The patios, pool and living space at the property is lovely. Also it’s great having a kitchen area to make simple meals to enjoy in the patio with that great view! Not a bad view from the property. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. We also loved the outside showers. The owner Cees and property manager Hynrich are easy to talk to and take great care of the property. They are both wonderful hosts and respond to questions, concerns and needs quickly. We ate at Isabelle by the Sea and it was so delicious and the service was fantastic. We will return to enjoy this property again as it’s one of the best vacations we ever had.

Island paradise!

Villa bon bientu is a little piece of heaven on Earth. It's perfectly tucked away from the busier center of Curacao, which is exactly what we wanted. The view from the patio is truly astonishing. You lose track of all time and thought while enjoying the ocean view. Snorkeling around the entire island is great but no other place had as much coral as there was right off of the back steps of the villa. The house reef was full of life and the water was the clearest on the island. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon and will definitely be returning in the future!

Beyond All Expectations

From start to finish, this was one of the best vacation experiences we’ve ever had….and we’ve had dozens! It’s a perfect, private, tropical oasis. Because we’ve visited the island before, we were okay with the distance from “downtown”. We needed a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere and Villa bon Bientu delivered this and more! Oh..and the reef directly in front of the property is incredible. Snorkeling was a dream. Hynrich, the property manager was lovely and very helpful. Super thankful for his generosity. Great Holiday Vacation

Great location and great stay. The property is brand new and the amenities are great and brand new also. There is a private gated entry to the ocean from the cliff with calm waters and great snorkeling an scuba right from the house (tanks available 5 minutes away). Enjoyed relaxing on the deck or hoping into the hot tub built for two. The property owners were also staying at the property during our stay (in a separate apartment) and were fantastic hosts providing loads of tips on day outings and even helping to accommodate dives. Would recommend this location highly for a couple or individuals. Or, rent both of the one room apartments and accommodate 4 people with a bathroom and kitchen per couple. Loads of restaurants, beaches and grocery shopping with 5 minutes of the property. 30 minute drive to Willemstad.

Exceeds Expectations...

It is one thing to view pictures online, but to actually experience it exactly as pictured is every traveller's dream. To start, the owner and his son went out of their way to accomodate us. I can't say enough good things about them or thank them enough. You just don't get that personal interaction everywhere. Villa Bon Bientu is absolutely breathtaking. The ocean views as far as the eyes can see and gorgeous sun sets are enough to totally take you out of reality. My husband and I spent seven nights here as we visited Curacao for the first time to celebrate my 40th birthday. I could not have asked for anything better. We rented a car and quickly found our way around the island. We hiked Mt. Christoffel as it is a definite must do, but be prepared. It's not a cake walk, but rewarding. The peace and tranquility of this place is perfect for relaxing. With Villa Bon Bientu, what you see is what you get and more!

Villa Bon Bientu is stunning- inside and out. It is modern and the finishes are high quality. The bed was comfortable and there is a nice breeze going through the unit most times. It is nice that the windows have screens in them, as I would hate to travel to the Caribbean and have to shut the windows. There were 2 or so days when there was no wind and it was nice to have air conditioning at night. The owner Cees was very helpful before our trip by providing information on dive shops, directions to the grocery store after the airport and including the tidbit about filling out the immigration form on line before getting to Curacao (this saved a lot of time upon arrival). I cannot say enough about the stunning view from the deck- gorgeous, mesmerizing, and stunningly peaceful. We are divers and the house was constructed just as I would have done so; a great rinsing station, a covered outside area where your dive equipment could dry after being rinsed and an awesome outside shower with hot water!! We dove from the house 4 of the days and the reef is amazing healthy. We were instructed to call the property manager when we were done grocery shopping and ready to head to the house, which we did and left a message. He however was not there when we arrived, but thankfully the cleaning lady, Maybeline was there. She was very helpful and did a great job of keeping our apartment clean. She helped me with my Spanish, told us about the island and had restaurant recommendations. The unit is so clean, it is as though you are the first person to ever stay in it. The first three (3) nights were at the house by ourselves. Another couple arrived on day three (3) and stayed in the other apartment. It wasn’t terrible, but it was not ideal. We were told that another couple was arriving prior to our arrival. We contemplated changing our reservation and decided to make the best of it. I would pay more to stay at Villa Bon Biento alone or I would book elsewhere in the future. There is no separation on the deck, so there is a lot of sharing if you are both home at the same time. If you want to sit on the inner deck (beneath the ceiling portion) in the evening once the other people have gone to bed you will be right by their window.

Amazing Getaway

From start to finish, staying at this property was amazing. If you love nature and a relaxing atmosphere, you can’t do better. The views are awesome and private reef is incredible, and lots of great beaches not too far away. Both the owner and property manager are very responsive to questions and made sure to follow up during our stay to ensure a positive experience. The worst part about our stay was having to leave! This was our 7th trip to Curacao, our first time staying at Villa Bon Bientu, and by far our favorite trip. The apartment is very clean and modern with a large bathroom and kitchen. The views from inside the apartment are only exceeded by the view on the patio when you step outside. The owners provide all of the amenities you will need including beach towels, inflatable floats, charcoal grill for grilling and all the kitchen and cooking utensils for meals. The washer and dryer was also provided for use and is a nice feature to have. Hynrich was very welcoming, friendly and helpful for any questions. There was a mid week cleaning service provided which was unexpected but very nice to have. Hynrich communicated with us anytime someone would be coming by to clean or check on the house. The house reef provides excellent diving and snorkeling with very easy access down the stairs as well as a rinse tub and drying rack for gear and a freshwater shower for rinsing off after a swim or dive. Before and during our trip, Cees was very communicative ensuring we were prepared, had everything we needed during the stay and were enjoying our trip. Thank you, Cees! We will most definitely be staying again soon.

Modern, new, wonderful secluded water front Villa

Exceeded our expectations in every way: from booking the property with ease, to a wonderful stress free stay, and easy arrival and departure. The house is modern new and has every amenity you could wish for. The property really does live up to the pictures. We love to dive and snorkel and all you had to do is walk down the steps and jump in. The house has a wonderful rinsing station when you get out. Booking and paying online was a breeze and Cees responded to all our questions quickly. Hynrich met us upon arrival. He was prompt, professional, and eager to make our stay pleasant and restful. You are in total seclusion at the property, which for us was just want we needed - a quiet time away from our busy lives. The house was very clean and had all the items we needed both for outdoors and indoors. All the tools you need for cooking are supplied in the kitchen. My only regret was leaving the property. We wished we had spent more time at the Villa. If you are looking for high end accommodations, peaceful quiet days/night, snorkeling/diving at your finger tips, beautiful outdoor space with an amazing garden and birds, and wonderful owners who care about their property and are a breeze to deal with - pick Villa bon Bientu. Wow what a view! Best snorkeling on island

We stayed over the 2018 New Years break and this was the best stay we have ever had in our 5 trips to the west side of the island. The location is so nice and quiet..... it is located in a gated development with only a few houses. Mornings where spent walking and running in the large grounds without seeing a soul. Very peaceful. The villa is very clean and well maintained it looked brand new. It was well stocked with everything. Special thought was put into what was needed for you to enjoy your stay. We cooked most of our meals at the villa and found the kitchen had excellent supplies...even including a salad spinner! The bathroom was large with two sinks and nice walk in shower with hot water. Towels where very fluffy and plentiful. The bed was a full king size and very comfortable. The villa has screened windows and it was so nice to have the island breeze blow through the the villa. We only needed to run the air conditioning at night as we like it a bit colder to sleep. There is also a washer and dryer if you need to do some laundry during your stay. The outside living area of the villa is outstanding.... from the hammocks under the shade huts to the hot tub overlooking the ocean for beautiful sunsets, to the easy access via the stairs to the ocean. You can dive or snorkel right there. Great care has been taken to make the yard look beautiful with lots of greenery and flowering plants. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after your swim, a tub to rinse off your snorkel or dive equipment, as well as a drying rack to hang your gear. We are avid snorkelers, spending several of hours in the water every day. We visited several other snorkel sites and this was by far the best reef on the island! Beautiful coral and abundant fish to be seen. There is also a beautiful hiking trail up the road towards Lagun which our host Marjolijne and Cees where gracious enough to take us on. They are very warm and welcoming people. They went out of their way to make sure we had an outstanding stay. This villa is far superior than your typical rental place! We were lucky to be able to book this beautiful place for ten days and we can say it exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is clean and well appointed, the outdoor living space provided the best opportunity to enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets and the scuba diving at the house reef was incredible. We took advantage of the healthy reef in front of the apartment and liked it so much we completed over 15 dives. If we have the opportunity to come back to Curacao, we will book here in an instant. Absolute Heaven!

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Villa Bon Bientu for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was absolute heaven!! Hynrich greeted us on our arrival. He gave us instructions and tips. He was wonderful. He showed us where the path was to walk down to Playa Jeremi from the house. We snorkeled in Playa Jeremi and right in front of the house. Everything was beautiful. The house was perfect and very clean which is very important to me. The air conditioner worked great and kept us cool at night. The house had everything we needed from towels, beach towels, paper towels, toilet paper, beach chairs, charcoal grill, and water noodles. The house was secured by a gate and we felt very safe. We snorkeled twice a day, rinsed off in the outside shower, and then enjoyed sunsets from the jacuzzi. The grounds of the house were gorgeous. It was stunning. Cees was wonderful to work with. Cees changed my reservation around a couple of times due to the airline making changes to our flight. Cees was very helpful with directions to the house and where to stop for groceries on the way to the house since there are no stores nearby. We will absolutely return again for the peace, quiet, and beauty this home gave us. Our favorite things to do were to swim with the turtles at Playa Grandi (which took about 7 minutes to get to from the house), watch the sunsets, snorkel from the house stairs, tour the plantations, and eat at Rancho El Sobrino (7 minutes from house).

Beautiful Villa in Curacao on the North End....

What a great place to stay! I loved the house and being so remote, you will be the only one on the property and have keys to the main gate. If you prefer more nightlife, then book near Williamstad. Hynrich the house manager will take great care of you too! Everything you need is provided and you will not be disappointed in renting this villa. I prefer to live like the locals and this place is on the North end near westpunt, with many great beaches and dive sites. Limited grocery stores up here so get supplies before reaching the Villa. Langun has some great places to eat too. Just explore...you can't get lost. Cas Abou Beach is 20 min away and downtown Marriott (free parking) is about 35 min away. You can dive or snorkle right from the house. I can't say enough great things here about this rental and the nice owners Cees and Marjorie! I will be back for sure, just hope it doesn't fill up from all the great reviews! I miss this place already!!

Simply Fabulous!

This is a spectacular property and one that we would LOVE to visit again. First of all, it offers unparalleled ocean views from virtually every angle and the snorkelling in front of the property was some of the best we encountered on the island. Both the grounds and the apartment itself were immaculate, with every convenience provided, including beach chairs & a cooler to take to the nearby beaches, movies, a well-equipped kitchen, lovely out door shower, a safe for valuables...the list goes on. Although the owners were out of town while we were there, their property manager and housekeeper were both super-friendly and very helpful. There are good restaurants a short drive away; be sure to try the savoury peanut soup at Trio Pennoti. We also had a lovely excursion to the Blue Room that we booked through Go West Diving in Playa Kalki and saw a pod of pilot whales, some flying fish, and even swam with sea turtles! We cannot say enough good things about this lovely villa; if you are thinking about booking a stay here, you will *not* be disappointed!

Villa Bon Bientu is true to its name. The calming breeze was just what we needed. My partner and I came to Curaçao to celebrate his 40th birthday and this house was the perfect romantic getaway. The location of the house is great if you play to stay on the west side. This home had some of the best snorkeling just a few steps down the cliff. The house was clean and easy to maintain. Everything you need is provided. Yes the views are amazing but even more so are the night stars! Curaçao lived up and exceeded our expectations and this house was one of the reasons why. We cannot wait to share our experiences with our friends and hope they too, get the opportunity to spend some time in Paradise (Bon Bientu). This place is just a little paradise! The views are breathtaking! The apartment is clean and fresh, and light. We were expecting a really nice place ( from the photos ), but Villa bon Bientu defianlty exceeded our expectations! The owners did an absolutely fantastic job with this place, especially the garden! The apartment felt pretty spacious. We love how secluded it was, away from all the noise and crowds! But still pretty close to most beaches, cute local towns, hiking trails, Christoffel's park, and Watamula hole! And its only 30 minutes drive away from the city and papular resorts. And most importantly, the owners and their son Bastiaan ( who lives in the main part of the house at this time ) were super helpful, easy to contact, and just awesome people :) Can't wait to get back there one day again! Serene and beautiful

These villas have a magnificent view with a private reef. Our best snorkeling was done right here with a good diversity of sea life. The accommodations were extremely clean, comfortable and well furnished. The hosts were both gracious and helpful. We visited Curacao for eight nights, four nights near the city and four nights at Villa Bon Bientu. If I were to return I would spend the whole time at Villa Bon Bientu. I highly recommend this property. Beautiful wildlife; lizards and iguanas, yellowfin tuna jumping and chasing schools of fish and colorful bananaquit birds.

Amazing cliffside villa

What a great location, on the cliff, facing the setting sun, with a stone path cut into the cliff that takes you down to the coral reef for snorkel and scuba diving. The new house has two separate rental villas, both facing west, and a hot tub and deck that provided the perfect spot for a glass of wine while watching the setting sun. The room was perfect, with an overhead fan, air conditioning, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a walk in shower, and from the bed we could see the setting sun. The owners even installed an outdoor shower we used to clean our gear after coming back up from snorkeling. Go eat at Sol Food (10 minutes away), awesome pizza and local dishes, and get Sunshine's 12 page handout on everything to do on Curacao, from hiking to biking, to swimming with the turtles and local restaurants. Great snorkeling and diving nearby, and a local dive shop and dive boat a couple of minutes away.

Fell in love with Curacao during a workassignment in 1984. Visited Caribbean regularly and always wanted to own a home here. With the completion of Villa Bon Bientu this wish is more then realized.

Why they chose this property

During a vacation in Lagun, 15 years ago, we were overwhelmed by the natural beauty of this area. We decided to look for a building site located close to the sea. Finally early 2015 we finished the construction of our dreamhouse :Villa bon Bientu. We love it. By renting our apartments we can share this beautiful spot with you.
