If you have a fear of any of these you might be happier staying at home, Save yourself the trouble of asking for a refund because you feel unsafe. We do our very best to make this property clean and comfortable. In the Fall and spring we Do have to evict mice from the cabin and it does involve placing "special food" for them in strategic places in the cabin. Be realistic with your expectations of any cabin in the woods when you are booking your retreat! If there is a problem with the cabin please feel free to call us so that we can address the situation while you are there! Complaining about something after you have departed is bad form and somewhat suspicious!

Second time staying at this peaceful little cabin by a creek. It was so relaxing and just perfect for unwinding! My dog and I really enjoyed walking and swimming in the beautiful creek!
This little cabin is so cute and wonderfully clean. We loved the windows overlooking the creek, beautiful view! It was great to have a screened in porch and an open porch both with picnic tables and a good grill on the open porch. We look forward to going back and having a nice fire by the creek, since it basically rained much of our visit. And the creek was much fun for us and our little golden/corgi mix. Beautiful setting all the way around!!Dale & Nan B.
We love this cabin so much that we keep coming back - our dogs love it too! I hope this place never gets cell service and remains a quiet, woodland retreat. It really is one of the best places to recharge. Thanks again, Rick and Candy!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for—a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a functional kitchen and a great gas grill for cooking meals. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the Creek in the evenings after spending the day hiking and swimming in the nearby state parks. The quiet and forested roads made even driving a great joy. The property was also very dog-friendly, which made it easy to bring our cocker spaniel along for the trip. The host provided clear instructions, and everything was exactly as described. If you’re looking for a quiet place to disconnect from technology and enjoy the outdoors, this is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again.
We had an awesome relaxing time at the little cedar!! Highly recommend if you want a quiet peaceful beautiful setting !!

About the host
Hosted by Rick & Candy Rexer
We operate a small business just outside of Dushore in Sullivan County, called Rexers LLC. We drill water wells, install water systems and provide many services which are nessesary to our rural area
Why they chose this property
The first time I arrived at this property I was hired to drill the water well for previous owners, Walter and Ruth Alonzo. I was struck by the way the cabin was situated next to the creek with plenty of space for the family pets and children to play on the hillside and in and around the water. Years later after Ruth's passing Walter asked me if I might be interested in owning this property, I jumped at the chance to offer this setting for my family to relax and enjoy.
