Walk to the slopes as this house is situated almost ski-in-ski-out! Detach yourself from work and balance your life in the high country. This house sits at over 4000 feet making it cool even in the summer months! We are excited to offer this home year round for your enjoyment and look forward to hearing about great times!! It sleeps 10 with a master suite, full kitchen, dining, and 1/2 bath on the main floor. There are three Bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a utility room and an extra room downstairs perfect for lounging or getting ready for the slopes. Enter the house via short flight of steps down from the road, notice the open concept kitchen, dining, and living space featuring wall to ceiling tongue & groove, butcher block counters, and a hemlock live edge breakfast bar. The large dining room table seats 8 people and the breakfast bar another 4 making the main space easily house 12 people during meal times. The spacious kitchen has ample counter room and is outfitted with all essential needs including a dishwasher.
The Master Suite on main level has a cozy king size bed and a full bathroom. This provides a large private space that can be used to get away.
Downstairs you will find 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a bonus room accessed by the spiral staircase inside or from the outdoor stairs on the deck. The bunk room has 4 twin size beds and located close to the second full bathroom. This bathroom is shared with the 2nd bedroom which has a full size bed and plenty of space for your belongings.
The downstairs suite is spacious, has a full size bed, flat screen TV, access to the lower level deck, and a private bathroom (unless your friends shack up in the bonus room next door). The bonus room is a large multi use space. Bring your air mattresses if you need some extra beds. Finally, attached to the extra room is the utility room with the washer and dryer.
Outside is a large two tier deck with a grill and a 4 person table. and various seating. The upper level deck has some pretty great views year round. Personally, this is our favorite spot in the whole house.
Flat gravel parking is on-site with space for 4 vehicles. The whole house is open to guests. Please enjoy responsibly.
Several notes:
1. We have an EXTERIOR motion activated surveillance device located and monitoring the front entry. This is the only camera on the property.
2. Wedling Weg is a paved road that is plowed. Parking is also flat making this home easy to access during the winter months. 4x4 is always recommended in the winter months when coming up the main road to Beech Mountain as the road is steep and winding, but the roads are well maintained/plowed during this time.
3. Access to the slopes is a short walk on Skiview Lane. This road is accessed via a short connecting trail from the back of the house to Skiview ln. Navigation of stairs IS required! Said stairs with snow on them can be slippery.
4. If you don't want to walk, the long way to Beech Mountain Ski Resort is a 3 minute drive. Though the parking lot at the resort my be a longer walk then walking from the house!
