Family Friendly Home In The "Galena Territory"

The Powell House is located in the Galena Territory, minutes from Galena. An ideal location! The house has recently been updated with new windows, new fireplace and flooring. The home features three bedrooms, with queen size beds, a loft, with two twin beds and plenty of room for the kids and sleeping bags. There is one bathroom on the first floor and a second full bath in the lower level. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishware, and bar ware. The kitchen island provides ample eating space with four bar stools, and is adjacent to the large eating area for eight people. Enjoy the large deck, with seating for eight and lovely views. If it's raining you can move to the furnished screen porch. Some additional features to be enjoyed;, pool table in lower level, cable TV, Weber charcoal grill, outdoor firepit, free WiFi and lots of windows with views of the Territory. All linens are supplied with exception of beach towels.

The Powell place was just lovely! We had plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, with a very relaxing environment. Looking forward to going back in the warmer months.

This house had everything we needed. Spacious area for everyone to gather as we had other family staying in Galena. Outdoor firepit was a plus. George was very kind and responsive to all messages.

Nice getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. A little issue with the housekeeping when we arrived but it was quickly fixed. I did appreciate the follow up call from owner next morning. Amenities were fun being so close to club house, swimming pool and marina. Close to downtown Galena yet secluded.

Great Galena Getaway

The house was even better than we had anticipated. Plenty of room for all. Loved the fireplace, especially given the time of year. Host was very attentive and left us perfect instructions. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property was perfect for a get away with our adult children. There was a mix-up with the cleaning crew which George responded to immediately. We loved the screen in porch, fire pit and location. Hope to be back soon

Girls trip to Galena

Centrally located to access everything in the area. Kitchen well-stocked. Outdoor spaces make this house a gem! Wild turkeys greeted us in the yard each morning. Stonedrift spa at the resort was booked for the weekend but Galena Day Spa was able to accommodate our group of 5 at the last minute. George recommended good restaurants in town as well.

Perfect for Us

Our family of five adults and three young children had a wonderful stay at George's property. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces--the screened in porch, the roomy deck, and the fire pit with chairs on the level back yard. We spent a lot of time at the Owners' Club pool, which is only a minutes away drive from the property. One suggestion--it would be nice to have a lock on the Jack-and-Jill bathroom on the main level, making it easier to know when the bathroom is being used. Thank you for a great stay, and for being so responsive with questions and booking.

Cute and peaceful, family friendly

Our family loved our stay in Galena. The Powell home was clean and perfect for a family get away. Our 3 and 6 year old girls loved the loft room which has two twin beds and plenty of kids toys. The fireplace, firepit and screened in porch were perfect. Only complaint is the tiny (though very clean) bathrooms - the shower head was barely high enough for my 5'4" head and the shower stall was small. My tall husband couldn't even use it. Other than that, we loved our stay in this adorable and well looked after home.

Great family getaway!

Overall it was wonderful. There were some housekeeping issues though. We contacted owners on day one and they were very helpful. I will say that there were other cleaning issues as the days went on. Dirty dishes and pots and pans in cabinets and lots of dusty areas in the home. We chose to just rewash them before using instead of calling owners again during the Thanksgiving holidays. I would just suggest maybe a new cleaning service. Other than that it was a great home for a family with outdoor space for the kids to play. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice place for a getaway

We spent 4 nights here with our 20-something young adult children. First time to Galena for us. We enjoyed it. The weather was unpredictable but the shopping and restaurants in Galena proper were worth it.

Awesome home in The Territories! The amenities were great, especially since the weather wasn’t on our side for the majority of our stay. We got to utilize the indoor pool on a stormy day. Communication was great and many memories made! Thank you for sharing your property with us. 🙂
