We enjoyed our stay. Communication was great and we didn’t have any issues getting to the place. The house was very comfortable and accommodated all of our needs.
This cabin was in a great location! We loved the Riverbend community. Lots to do right in the community. Driveway was a little hard to navigate with a suburban!
Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms also had plenty of towels. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out.
Cabin came with kayaks and tubes.
My kids loved the pool table and the tv in the basement. Board Games were missing pieces so we didn’t get to play with them.
All Outdoor furniture is in BAD shape. Chairs around table need to be replaced and the wooden chairs around fire pit also need replacing. The outdoor area could use a good power wash. We enjoyed the hot tub after hiking around and adventuring with the tubes and kayaks.
The sunrise in the morning was my fav along with the fireflies at night around the fire.
4/5 stars for sure!
We had an awesome time at your cabin, thank you. We were three senior couples just needing to get away from all the craziness lol. We enjoyed the home made a turkey dinner, played corn hole on the large porch, sat by the fire pit with cocktails it was wonderful. The only thing is the road just before the cabin is on a narrow gravel road and there were quite a few large pot holes that made a car very tricky to get in especially with the big drop down the side it was a bit scary but just a few bags of gravel should take care of that. Thank you again for a wonderful trip!
This Cabin is clean, spacious, and as nice amenities. It is the very last cabin at the end of a gravel road. While the cabin is wonderful; getting to it is another story! It is a bit far from the main road & “civilization.” We we’re here from Oct.3-9th and did enjoy watching the foliage changing. We had hoped to have some crisp fall weather unfortunately we did not, it was hot & humid. It rained the ENTIRE week we were there- so much so that the ground in the driveway was soft enough for your vehicle to get stuck in, and caused a huge tree to fall across the driveway blocking us in! The owners of the cabin did remedy this very quickly which we appreciated. Other than the isolation, and the horrible weather- this cabin is a very nice place to stay.
We had a great time at the Appalachian Sunrise home. The house was well maintained. There was a lot to do at the house with the hot tub, fire pit, game room with pool table and movie theater area. Riverbend has an amazing lake park with beach to relax and float on a tube or paddle on kayaks. Lake Lure is a short drive away as is amazing hiking and restaurants. Driveway is washing out so that is my only major critique, I am glad we had four wheel drive vehicles.
This was a nice cabin in a great neighborhood in Lake Lure. It was relatively quite; however, you can hear cars driving on the main road. The beds were a little uncomfortable and I don't believe anyone in the house got a great nights sleep. The Air conditioner broke on our second day but maintenance was quick and professional in their response and their repair.
We lived in Hendersonville many moons ago, so when we found this property we so excited because Lake Lure is close to Hville. The cabin was wonderful- spacious and plenty of activities. Sunrises were amazing
Overall this house was great! We had a wonderful visit.
There were 6 of us and plenty of beds and bathrooms for all!
All the amenities were on point and there was nothing they didn’t have that we needed which was nice, especially since we ate in every meal (stupid COVID).
While I’m used to a more personal touch with owners managing their own properties, the communication was good and the information given was pretty thorough.
The house was spotless and very homey. Daily well stocked on needed items, but because we stayed a week, we did bring extra TP, paper towels, garbage bags and dishwasher pods.
The hot tub was a nice feature, the BBQ clean, and we used the fire pit a few times.. very nice.
Just a couple of minor tweaks...
1. the primary bedroom’s mattress...not my favorite. And we are very glad we brought our own pillows.
2. there was no separate recycling bin that we saw
3. the lake is not a few minutes walk away. We definitely needed to drive down. Also, we had no way of taking the kayaks there, so a few more details about that would have been helpful.
4. And heads up...the drive into the neighborhood is all gravel roads and a couple of sections fairly steep, we didn’t need a 4 wheel drive, but had to take care.
We stayed here for a mommy and me getaway with 4 adults and 3 babies. With 4 rooms we each had our own space which was nice and there were plenty of bathrooms to share. The main floor was kid friendly and had beautiful views and the basement was nice for when the kids went to bed and we wanted to hang out. The hot tub was under the deck so protected us from the rain and was plenty spacious for 4 adults. BE SURE to check the directions on the property check in page because GPS will take you to a scary gravel road up a mountain that leads to a private road you won’t be able to access. Also the property wasn’t heated prior to our arrival but the gas fireplace had the place comfortable in no time. Kitchen well equipped for cooking breakfast - dinner and extra blankets in the bedrooms came in handy!
