This is a cute cottage on Lake Erie, we have a private beach where you can have lots of fun. Feel free to walk the beach along the shoreline. You can look for beach glass and lucky stones. Walking distance to Cedar Island Marina and a municipal boat launch. Bring your boat, kayaks, jet ski, paddle boards or sail boards. Direct access to Cedar Creek watershed area, perfect for Birders. Cottage comes equipped, linens, towels, umbrella, beach chairs, Just bring your food and drinks! Kitchen is fully equipped. This home is available all year. WIFI INCLUDED and Cable included.

Very nice cottage in a beautiful location! I love that it is pet friendly as well. It was nice to be close to Kingsville. Very nice town with good restaurants and shopping. We had a lovely time and would love to come back next year and stay even longer.

Perfect Home for Quick Getaway with our Pup

We booked this very spontaneously and could not have been happier with the house and the city. We came from the Detroit area and in less than an hour and a half we were in a quiet beachside paradise. The house was perfect for two of us and a dog and its location ON the beach was more than we could have dreamed of. The beach was clean, and our hosts provided plenty of wood for bonfires. We spent the day touring local wineries before enjoying a beachside bonfire and barbecue. We absolutely WILL be back.

Fantastic, beachfront cottage

My stay on this property was fantastic. My family of four had ample space and absolutely loved walking out onto the beach every day. Campfires on the beach at night. The king size bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend visiting the Beachside Grill restaurants for breakfast.

Great place and location!

My wife and I celebrated her bday weekend here and had a great time. The house was cozy and charming with an amazing view to wake up to. The only thing we may change in the future is the time of our visit as we quickly learned about mayflies, but it didnt stop of from having a great stay. The beach was perfect and really did have a private feel. In short, we would definitely come back.

Great beach house on a beautiful soft sandy beach!

Overall was great - thank you very much, we had a great time. Just one polite suggestion...a curtain or blind for the north window in the bedroom would be helpful especially as it is getting light earlier and earlier for the next few weeks. Overall fantastic stay though - thanks again, Joe and Jules.

Relaxing Weekend by the Lake

My boyfriend and I, along with our two dogs, had a lovely weekend at the lake house. Jody was very kind, and responsive to any questions we had. We loved that the beach was just outside the back door, and we could hear the waves from inside the house with the windows open. We have recommended this home to family and friends, and hope to go back again for another visit.

Great Getaway at the Beach

I want to thank Jody and Jeff for a wonderful stay. The cottage was as advertised, right on the beach. The weather was perfect and on my first night there i was invited to join them at their beach campfire. I felt welcomed as an old friend. I brought my dogs with me and they loved being able to play in the sand then run into the water right out of the back door. it was great and i would happily go back again!

Beachy family visit

We haven't been able to see our families since Covid. This was our first time back. We live on the water and wanted to be on the water. With our black lab, and have the family in to Enjoy the water also . This place was perfect. Everyone who saw it fell in love with it. And the beach was amazing. Everyone we met there were so friendly. It was so relaxing. I highly recommend this beachy cottage getaway.

Cute House but has Fire Code Violations

This house is great when we first arrived. It is right on the beach; the house itself is clean and check in was easy. However, the first night we discovered a gas leak and messaged the host about it. Given it was almost midnight the host did not respond so we called the fire department as we did not know who the gas company was. After the fire department arrived, the discovered a gas leak from the water heater and several fire code violations including insufficient smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and exposed live wires from where the detectors were supposed to be. The testing and providing temporary fix lasted a few hours until 2am. Then the gas company came out after being contacted by the fire department. They were able to fix the leak which took another hour but discovered that the water heater was not installed up to standard. The host responded next morning and offered to give us a refund for the first night and pizza. We were okay with this solution as the immediate dangers were fixed in the house and the host was apologetic. 1.5 months later, the host still has not refunded us. I followed up twice with the host and was ghosted the second time. I tried contacted Vrbo’s customer service but they were not helpful. It is a shame because this house is otherwise good, but I would not recommend anyone staying there due to the numerous fire code violations.

Dishonest and disappointing

We vacationed here at the end of August. Upon arrival, we walk in to find two post it notes on the table. One read that the back door was broken due to the last rental group and the second told us that the contractor didn’t arrive and the bathroom was under construction. We should have left right then. *we were never warned of the Reno’s* There were numerous issues with our stay (listed below) but what really was the most disgusting, was when we brought our complaints to the home owner. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever but accusations instead. Our concerns were completely ignored and were told that we broke their furnace/electrical (which was held together with duct tape and was leaking water), AND they accused us of stealing $700 worth of pillows, towels and bedding. It’s beyond shocking and flat out ridiculous. We didn’t even have a blanket for our daughter, who used one from our car-the audacity to say we stole stuff is mind blowing. The location/town is amazing but the owners are unhinged and the cottage was unsuitable for rental. Below was our note to the owners. Hello We would like to inform you guys that after many frustrating moments, we have decided to leave early. The kicker is the fact that the AC broke yesterday around 4pm. Coming to your home, we never expected to walk in and have the place under construction. You did not warn us therefor were not honest with us. Unacceptable. There is zero ventilation or lighting above the stove. It’s not only dangerous but a fire hazard. Like the note you left said - the bathroom is under construction. There are holes in the walls. Ceiling. Give me a break. Only one garbage bag was left in over stock and no recycling bin. No laundry basket. Dishes were dirty in the cupboards. We spent the first three hours of arrival cleaning countertops and such with the wipes provided. Photos provided. The “clean” sheets were tied in a plastic grocery bag left in the corner of the closet. Which we washed because we were unsure if they were clean. The fact that not only the back door is broken but the front door as well (no screen). Is there any pride in ownership? There are many other things we could list but it only angers us. Like no cooking oil even - what is going on here?!? And you claim there was a fully stocked kitchen. This was unbelievably disappointing and in no way was your home adequate for rental.

Pet friendly and right on the beach! Minor feedback for the house would be to include curtains on both windows in the bedroom. Also, a curtain or blind on the kitchen front door would be great as well.Everything else was pretty on par to the listing pictures so no surprises. Had an excellent long weekend away.
