We had an amazing stay despite the weather being a little stormy. The heated pool was a God send! I love the proximity to the beach, every window view was amazing! So many dolphins to see!

Great location

House was good and in great location. House had plenty of space. Master bed was comfortable, but queen bed in other bedroom was uncomfortable. Lots of decks to enjoy the views, however, the deck furniture sits below the railing so it obstructs the view. We enjoyed the pool on red flag days. Overall, nice house.

Great Location, Overpriced and under furnished property

The location of this home is fantastic, right on the beach. Given the price point of this home, we expected much more. The furnishing are very cheap, many items on the home are broken (bunk bed has chunks missing out of it, exterior door handles are completely missing, no coffee filters for the coffee maker, cheap pans, cheap towels, cheap bedding, etc.). The outside of the home is poorly maintained. The weeds were out of control, the pool area was filthy. Tiles were missing from the pool, the cement is black it is so dirty and the whole week we were there no one came to clean the filthy pool. All of the complaints I have go back to the property management, not the home owners. I would beware to rent from this property manager and a home they rent next to us looked like it should have been torn down it was in such bad repair. I would completely recommend this location though, beach was great.

We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to be able to reply that nearly all the Hurricane Michael damage you mentioned has now been repaired. I assure you that no one is more frustrated than the owner and property managers concerning how long it takes to recover from a Category 5 storm. We had been on waiting lists for 18 months to get the door handles ordered and replaced (which happened 5/2020). We also had been patiently waiting for the pool to be completely refinished, which also finally happened in May. We not only replaced the entire pool finish including tile, but we also added a HEATER!! We are very excited to now be able to offer a heated pool during the cooler months. As for pots and pans, nicer cookware has been used in the past but in my nearly 20 years of experience with short term rentals, I have come to the conclusion that there are a lot of bad cooks out there - lol! Since so much of it gets ruined, we find it easier to replace it often with less expensive pots and pans. Again, many pieces were replaced prior to opening for the summer season in May and we will take your comments under advisement for next season. Lastly, please do not judge my neighbors harshly. They experienced serious storm damage and have worked diligently to repair their home. Things do not move quickly and I assure you they are doing their best. I apologize that their disrepair was in any way offensive to you. I hope that you will visit Cape San Blas, and Cape Destiny again in the future. I know the world thinks we should be all healed and complete 18 months after a major storm, but that just isn’t the case yet! However, we continue to make progress and are all proud to see how far we have come in a relatively short period of time.
