About this property

The ideal house at the foot of Acropolis.

My apartment is a spacious and cozy place 63 square meters, perfectly located in the heart of the historic center of Athens, in the neighborhood of Thiseio, few meters away from Apostolou Pavlou pedestrian street. Acropolis Hill and Ancient Agora is only 10 minutes walking.
The location couldn’t be better.
The metro station is only 3 minutes away thats why it is an ideal getaway destination for someone who wants to explore the city of Athens.
The view from the shared rooftop (3 floors up by narrow, typical, back stairs) is spectacular. Guests can enjoy the privacy of the whole apartment which I always make sure to be clean and neat.
Whenever is in our hand, we will be glad to offer an early check-in or late check-out.

You will find a key to unlock the door inside the white aluminum box located in the stairwell, on the ground floor. It's hanging on the wall to the left. Put it back where you found it.
Now you are ready to go!

A perfect place in a vibrant neighborhood, the apartment is just steps away from the acropolis, agora, and many great cafes and restaurants. Irene is the best. We arrived to this beautiful apartment from the cruise port by taxi. I don’t believe the location could have been any better and convenient. There is a walking distance to major attractions and we stayed there for 5 days. There are great restaurants just across the street, grocery stores, bakery. We absolutely loved our stay and Irene was helpful, available, caring , and such a blessing.

As a tourist in Athens this was the perfect apartment for us. It is a few minutes walk to the Parthenon for one, Secondly when you go up to the rooftop deck, the view is spectacular. The apartment is very clean and has everything we needed to cook for ourselves or simply walk across the street for excellent coffee and dining options. If you cook or want to make your own coffee, or you want a bottle of wine for the rooftop deck, there are two grocery stores just down the street. There is so much to see and do within a 10 minute walk. Irene is an amazing host, great communication, very friendly and informative. We spent two nights here and I will recommend this apartment to any friends who may travel to Athens.

Our stay at this Athens apartment was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the hostess made us feel incredibly welcome and showed us true filoxenia (the beautiful Greek tradition of hospitality).The location of the apartment is perfect. We were able to walk to the Acropolis easily, and the surrounding neighborhood features excellent walking paths for evening strolls. There are also many fantastic restaurants just steps away from the front door.Inside, the apartment was a comfortable haven. The air conditioning works incredibly well. Even in mid-May, the weather got quite toasty outside during the middle of the day. This was a great experience from beginning to end! Unfortunately we did not meet the host in person, simply because we were so busy exploring that our schedules never lined up. Great base to do our exploring from. Easy to walk to everything or take the metro to the nearby station if our feet got tired. Thissio street market is wonderful and just steps away. The rooftop patio with the amazing view is a few flights up some narrow stairs but they are very secure and well worth the climb! Quiet area but with everything you might need closeby.

My name is Irene and i am a photographer. My spare time I really like to read a good book and in summer i love to make long walks. A walk on Philopappou Hill is my favorite route. My favorite time of the day ... is late in the evening. When everyone in the house has been asleep and the city has plummeted. It's time to enjoy my drink on the terrace and plan the next day or not !
My decision to host people from other countries in my home came effortlessly. It seemed very interesting to me to meet people with other cultures, other interests than usual.

Why they chose this property

My apartment is located at the foot of Acropolis Hill, walking distance to all ancient sights, parks, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining spots. The center of the city, (Syntagma square, Ermou street, National Garden, etc) are easily accessible either by foot or by metro.
