Felt like home

Sunrise Splendor was wonderful. The kitchen was very well equipped, the layout of the family area flowed well from one space to another. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Having a pool and jacuzzi to enjoy was wonderful. This is now our new favorite! The owners have thought things out on this one! Everything that we needed was in the home and ready for us upon arrival.

The upgraded bathrooms, the beautiful finishes and upgrades in the kitchen and family room, are what keeps us coming back.

Relaxing Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has a planned family reunion and we were pleasantly relieved that we could safely visit during the pandemic. Locals and folks in stores wore masks and practiced social distancing in stores and on the beach. It felt like a private getaway. The house itself had everything we needed and was comfortable and the remodel well thought out to provide a comfortable stay. The only negative is the property doesn’t appear to have any recycling collection. The trash protocol could take some explanation as we first thought the green dumpster was recycling only, but eventually we were told trash and recycling goes in this dumpster.

They have done so many beautiful updates. From the Living room, fire place area to the new kitchen table, added a bathroom, updated all the bathrooms, remodeled the master bath. It is all so beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could think of and its all in great condition. Even a mixer! We loved having the corn hole boards, and the extra beach toys and chairs were awesome too. Its so well maintained. Beautiful brand new carpet through out. We will be back next year.

We had a Fun Vacation Week!!!!!

We made family dinners each night in this fully equipped kitchen and ate together in the large dining room table. We played with the corn hole game out back. We used the grill and ate our lunches on the large picnic table under the deck. So nice to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise on the ocean. My favorite spot!! This location is nice from the crowds but still close enough to great restaurants and shopping. We went to Mulligans and Sam & Omies. Both in Nags Head. We also went across the bridge to Mateo and visited the NC Aquarium. Thank you for offering such a nice home for us to spend a week to relax and make great memories! We will be here again next year!

We travel to OBX usually twice a summer- once with just my immediate 5 and then later with extended to in-laws. This was our family of 5 vacation and by far our favorite home we have ever stayed in. We’ve stayed in another in same community which was also nice but Sunrise Splendor has it all- beautifully decorated, upgrades the owners put into the home were great. We loved all of the kitchen amenities that were all very well taken we b care of- not junk! The outdoor space was perfect for grilling on the working gas grill, while we playing corn hole or swung in the swing. All if the bedrooms were nicely decorated- we don’t use the comforters in homes when we rent but honestly the home felt so clean I may have considered it!!! We really loved this place and hope to come back again. You can tell the owners Jon and Terry put a lot of work and have pride in this home!!!

Amazing, Perfect beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love to visit Nags Head and this by far was the best house that we have stayed in over the years. The renovated interior is better than any other in the lot. The views are amazing, and I didn't even mind being behind another house. The beach was empty most days since there is no hotel or public access nearby. We really enjoyed walking our dog on the beach in the morning and evening, and the grass yard was great for the dog also. The house includes great beach chairs and umbrellas, we really didn't have to bring anything but our bathing suits and towels. The two dog crates included (large and extra large) are the same folding kind we use at home and were very much appreciated to keep our puppy under control and with us on any level of the house. Cleaning crew was very nice and thurough; we met them when we forgot some items and came back an hour later. They knew exactly where our stuff was and didn't complain that we interrupted their work for a few minutes. We have already booked for next year and can't wait.

Good location

This place was unlike any other place we have stayed at before. We have never had to pay extra for linens so we opted to save $260 and take our own linens. They also said we would need to take a lot of items, like trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels, etc. They did supply some toilet paper, paper towels, plates, etc. There was dog hair all over the furniture and beds, but it was clean other than the dog hair on stuff. We don't have dogs. They also say no check in before 4, we checked in after 6 and requested a late check out of no more than 2 hours and was declined. The location is amazing the house is amazing. Just wasn't as clean as we would have liked considering the cleaning staff has over 6 hours to clean. It is a big duplex. No one was next door when we were there in March. It was cold and not enjoyable outside in the rain and wind. But we still had a great time. Not all places in this area require extra money for the linens. So we might stay somewhere else if we go back to the outerbanks. We were also required to clean the place before we left so we bought some disinfecting wipes and cleaned everything. Mind you we got all this done before check out at 10am and we are not morning people.

The home is very clean and equipped for your stay. We watched the sunrise each morning on the deck. The owners take great care to make our visit memorable. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Splendor. It was just the right size for our party of six. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the ocean view. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some - we cooked and grilled big meals every day. The space was very clean although a couple of rooms had a slight doggy smell which we quit noticing after a short time. We appreciated having two refrigerators on different floors and the fish cleaning table outside. There is a dumpster onsite but they don't collect recycling, so we took ours to the recycling center in Kill Devil Hills. The Outer Banks fishing pier/Fish Heads restaurant is a short walk away - great food and beer selection. We hope to return next year!
