The Cimarron House had everything we needed. Quiet area. We "felt" we were out in the middle of no where, but we were close to town. Communication with host was great. There were 5 of us and it was comfortable. We played cards in the living room every night and watched X-Files on the big screen TV. Great get-away!
It was a little less fancy, but perfect for what we needed. I love that. It was out from the city away and so you could see the beautiful mountains around you.

The place was clean but could use some serious upkeep. The kitchen sink leaked. The furniture was old. The bath tub didn't plug for a bath. The backyard was basically overgrown weeds that were bush hogged and not picked up. And - we were charged a mystery fee that still has not been credited back. Will not use VRBO again because of this. VRBO's virtual assistant was worthless in helping and the owners diverted us back to VRBO.

Response from VrboOwner on 26 March 2026
We’re always sorry to hear of any reason a guest is unhappy with their stay. We’re also sorry your frustration with the VRBO platform led you to rate our house low.
Our house has natural landscaping, in keeping with the neighborhood. We’re sorry that doesn’t meet your expectations. We will investigate and fix the bathtub plug and are sorry you didn’t inform of us this while you were staying at the house so we could have been more prompt in our response.
As pictured and described. Beautiful view. Very quite neighborhood and very close to shuttle stop with lots of opportunities for pics along the ride to town. Close to shopping and dining.
We enjoyed staying at this location. No traffic & secluded from the general tourist area. Clean, easy to get around area, quiet. We throughly enjoyed our 4-night stay. Looking to coming back in the future. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to have nice places like this when traveling.
The location is great, on the west side of town away from the congestion. Quiet. Lots of room! Great setting. Near Red Rock State Park (you need a pass to go and times are limited).
Impressed with every part of our stay. The house was very spacious and each room feels like a private space. Driving to and from the house is filled with some of the best views in Sedona combined with the views right outside the front and back door. Close to a few mountain bike trails. cant recommend it enough. Will definitely be back!
First impression of the house when we pulled up was not good at all. The inside of the house was fine and a good size for our group (3 sisters and a daughter). The water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom could be fixed and all the walls could use some fresh paint. Everything was clean. The location was great for what we had planned for our stay in Sedona.
Super cute house with amazing morning views! We had a great time over Memorial Day weekend. The place was very clean and organized. Check in was super easy and the house is located in a quiet area without the hustle and bustle of downtown traffic. Since I'm originally from AZ, I figured there may be some red ants outside which I'm allergic to so we just sprayed the sidewalk and no issues. The backyard could use some work but the BBQ is close to the porch so we were able to sit outside and BBQ. There was a really cool lookout area on the mountains above which we still don't know what it was but the views were stunning. And the host JJ was super helpful and responsive.

Great Place for Guys trip
We are group of guys that do an annual mountain bike trip.
We have done Sedona on a number of occasions dating back to 2010.
Prices for rentals have gone up since then. So we try and look for a place depending on the group attendance.
This place is priced right for our group of 8 and all you’re looking for is a place to sleep, shower and cook keep in mind 3 people brought cots.
Real standard place.

West Sedona home
The inside of the house was pretty nice. The kitchen was pretty small but to be fair we like to cook and didn’t just order pizza.
The exterior of the home has been neglected for quite a long time. The back and front had piles of broken or cut tree limbs, there might have been a planter once that had been grown. The place could be much nicer with a bit of cleanup.
My sister and our friend stayed at Cimarron House for 2 overnights. Isaiah, our host was very responsive, friendly and easy to work with. The house is very clean with lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans and everything you would need in a kitchen (minus a toaster; however, we were fine with using the oven for toast). There is a very nice Keurig coffee pot with limited pods for your first morning. if you’re a coffee nut like us, you might want to bring a supply of your favorite pods. The beds and bedding are clean and comfortable. We found the location great with beautiful views and hiking nearby. Hopefully someone is scheduled to do some yard work as it does tend to distract from the beautiful view and the tidy interior. Anyway, it was a great stay.

just ok
Spent at least 45 minutes getting entry code which was not sent in a timely manner. Room with twin beds ( a trundle) did not have a window cooler and was not habitable. Air conditioning instructions were also not sent in a timely manner. Place was clean, only one bug.. Not very homey. Wouldn't book this place again.
We enjoyed staying at Cimmarron House. The views from the end of the driveway are stunning, but we were really not there except to sleep and cook breakfast and dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed - even a tiny bottle of olive oil.
If you like very hot showers, the shower in the master bath is for you! The shower in the hall is better for those who can’t handle very hot water, since the temperature can be adjusted there.
The host also provided heaters in every bedroom (in addition to the heat throughout the house), blankets in the living room to snuggle in, some toiletries, salt, pepper, coffee and creamer. The internet was really appreciated since this area didn’t have cell phone service.
The only guest chores were to place towels in the washer and start it, start the dishwasher with any dirty dishes and take out your trash.
The Fam and I just stayed a couple of nights at this spot. Location was good, the home was very clean and suprisingly spacious. The hosts we great and the price was relatively reasonable.
