We stayed at this property with another couple for a weekend retreat. It was a great place with everything we needed. It was a short drive to everything we wanted to see and do. We would definitely recommend.

Full Disclosure
Full disclosure: There is no WiFi. You will have to be escorted to this cabin by the owner. He will show you all around the cabin that he built. I’ve vrbo’ed dozens of times. Never has this happened. It creeped me out. I wondered why i never got the code to the lock box emailed to me. It is very hard to get to. Way up in the mountains. Cabin was super clean. Tv in every room. Hot showers. I would not recommend this cabin. We had a family emergency while there and had to leave early because we needed telephone and WiFi access to find out about our loved ones. It was disclosed that there was no WiFi. I just feel the need to put it out there again. Before leaving, you have to drop the key off with the owner. I just was not comfortable the entire time.

Tracy, thanks for sharing your feedback. The homeowner would like to deliver the following message:
"We explained where amenities were to Tracy and her husband, who were both present for the brief tour of the cabin. GPS to the cabin is not reliable, so we meet the guests at the main house and show them to the cabin 1/4 mile away, in a separate vehicle, to make finding the cabin easier for the guests. There is no lock box or code. This entire process takes no more than 10 minutes. The cabin is on top of the mountain and this is clearly stated in the listing and headline. There is no claim of WiFi being in the cabin. Cell phones generally work just fine at the cabin. We told Tracy and her husband where WiFi spots were located in town when they asked at check-in. The key does not have to be dropped off at the main house. The check-out instructions were to leave the key on the kitchen table in the cabin and to lock the door when leaving. Tracy's husband called when they were getting ready to leave the cabin and asked if it was okay to bring the key to the main house. We answered the phone and said yes to this request by the guest. Tracy and her family were left to complete privacy from check-in to check-out two days later. Their family emergency occurred before they arrived to check-in. They checked out a day early."
Best, the Evolve Team
We came in town for a wedding. This cabin exceeded our expectations. Super roomy, very clean, all the amenities anyone would need. The owners met up with us for check in late night and couldn’t have been sweeter. Nothing but 5stars on this property.
If we are ever in the area again, we will hands down book again. :-)
Great cabin. Had plenty of room for what we needed. Enjoyed seeing deer in the early mornings. I will definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks. Donna from Sylacauga.
We just loved this cabin. From the moment we arrived we all felt like we were home. Nice and cozy quite and peaceful, just what we all wanted. If you are looking for somewhere to go to relax, this is the place.
We enjoyed our stay very much. As per the instructions from the owner, we called Tom when we were about 30 minutes away. He met us at the end of his driveway, then lead us about a quarter of a mile down the road to the cabin. He walked us to the door, told us to let him know if we needed anything, then was on his way. The cabin was exceptionally clean. We have a crawling infant and I had to qualms letting her crawl around on the floor. It was even practically baby proofed right down to the outlet covers. Living room was spacious enough to set up a large plastic play pen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also spacious. Location was great as we were close to Little River Canyon, Desoto State Park, and Mentone. 4 stars instead of 5 because while the beds themselves were comfy, they needed new pillows and updated softer linens. Also would have liked to have a landline for emergency use, as there is no phone service or internet (which we loved.).
Very nice cabin and peaceful...we watched deer come out at sun rise and sunset! Only negatives were no internet/cell service and the tv service didn't have movie channels or espn to watch football games. Otherwise awesome place.
It was very remote off the grid experience. Deer in the field!! Comfortable and quiet!! Perfect place to bring you family closer together. We played cards, talked, something we don't seem to have time to do in the real world life. I (68 years old) loved their was no wifi or cell phone service. My granddaughter had to keep her nose out of the phone and participate in family actives.
Great cabin situated in a remote mountain top area. Very wooded and lots of wildlife. Would recommend to others that want to disconnect away from the world, as there is no cell service or WiFi. Very clean and has all the household items for your getaway.
cabin is very clean and beautiful ! owners are really nice and feel like family . location to lake Weiss, Yellow Creek falls, Cherokee Rock Village , Noccalulla Falls, Collinsville Trade Days and more is perfect. Everything you need is at cabin for cooking and relaxing. Definitely plan to return again !
Quaint cabin that was extremely clean. My only reservation about returning is that we usually travel Friday PM after work arriving very late, sometimes at midnight or later. It would work better for us in that situation to stay somewhere with a lockbox versus a checkin with the owner,
