"My Blue Heaven" truly is a slice of heaven...lakefront living at it's finest! Located on Alabama's beautiful Weiss Lake in the charming town of Leesburg, this 2 BR 1 BA home is the perfect spot for you. Whether you are interested in escaping a brutally cold winter, enjoying the gorgeous summer sun or fishing the Crappie Capital of the World, you will find "My Blue Heaven" suits all your needs.
Relax on the gorgeous, covered deck, swing on the boat dock under is the cool breeze of the fan or spend your afternoons exploring Weiss Lake. Unwind and enjoy every moment of your stay! For your convenience, a neighborhood boat launch is easily accessible 500 feet from the lake house and there is a semi-circular driveway to accommodate trucks and trailers. If you need a larger launch, Leesburg Landing puts out right into the main channel and is approximately one mile from the house.
2 large bedrooms- one with a new king bed and crib, the second with a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds provide ample sleeping room for 6 guests.
2 flat screen televisions, large kitchen island and farm-style dining table, upright piano and open floor plan make "My Blue Heaven" the ultimate family vacation rental.

Another perfect stay

This place is pure heaven for me. Although the cold front that came in made it very cold on the docks to fish we still found board games and card games to keep us occupied

The need for scheduled Outdoor cleaning

Upon arrival on our check-in date The cleaning service was still on site at 5:00pm. Then we had to wait for the floor to dry. Before we could go inside. The entire outside of the lake house was covered in spider webs, wasp nests, and dirt dobber nests. It was in a real need of pressure washing.The inside of the house was nice and clean.

Comfortable and clean

Very nice home on the lake, great deck and dock to spend outdoor time on. My wife and I love to cook and unfortunately the condition of the cookware was very poor. The coating in the pots and pans were peeling away, good thing we had brought a couple pans along as we would not use the cookware provided. A fairly quiet neighborhood but a few of the neighbors had barking dogs and let them wander unattended. One actually showed up on the deck one evening and didn’t want to leave, barking at us for a bit. All in all a very good stay and the owners were kind and great to communicate with.

Such a great location on the lake. It had all the amenities we needed for a great visit with family. Check in and out was a breeze and Katie and Shane are very nice to communicate with. Would highly recommend The Blue Lake House.

Thanksgiving holiday respite

We arrived looking to just stop moving, thinking, and bearing the weight of work responsibilities for a few days. Katie and Shane’s tucked away home on Lake Weiss fit the bill! The home was well furnished with fantastic views of the lake and the fall colors were amazing! Leesburg and Centre are home to very friendly and down home people. We had positive interactions with several businesses. The short drive to little river canyon preserve was well worth it, and we enjoyed a relaxing drive along the parkway,. A quick jump over to Fort Payne for a late lunch rounded out a great day. The rest of the week we spent reconnecting with nature and recharging at the lake house. Everything we needed from a home perspective was in the cabinets, kitchen, and bedrooms. Centre is just 5 mins away for all your grocery needs, and Gadsden is about a 20 minute drive for more dining options. I’m sure the lake gets busy in the spring and summer, but we only saw 3 or so boats as the weather was cool. Thank you Katie and Shane! We hope to return again!

The house is nicely decorated. The bed was a dream to sleep in. We got some of the best sleep we've had in a long time. The dock was so nice to use. Thank you so much for letting us use it. We had a great time.

Wonderful

Great house on the lake. Quiet with huge bedrooms. We caught 3 bass near the dock. It was a short drive to Cherokee rock village for hiking and little river canyon for scenic views of waterfalls. All the flowers around the house were in bloom. Hope to go again soon

Island stay was great

Clean and cozy with beautiful views

Our family of four had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend at the lake house. A special note on how clean it was, very nicely remodeled and maintained. We loved the large deck with a swing and the private yard and access to the lake. Fun board games and a good selection of shows to watch. This will be on our list for future trips!
