The Location - This apartment is centrally located which means that guests are ideally placed for the towns vibrant and lively atmosphere. Enjoy the numerous cafes and restaurants available on your door step,boutique shopping, cinema and a golf course near by. Plus its just 300 metres to D'Albora Marina and Nelson Bay Beach, which is the gateway to a selection of aquatic activities, including dolphin and whale cruises and water park, a large childrens playground and plenty of shaded areas to enjoy a picnic or BBQ.

The Apartment - Located on the top (4th) floor, this apartment is spread over two levels, with ducted air conditioning throughout and boosting plenty of natural light. The lower level has a balcony leading to the open plan living and dining area, with a mounted flat screen TV and DVD player, board games, craft box, books and DVD's. Wi-Fi is also available at the property. The fully equipped kitchen with Lavazza Pod Coffee Machine, cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The master bedroom with a queen bed, ensuite with a shower and a balcony, the second bedroom with a queen bed and the main bathroom which offers a separate shower and bath.

The upper level is accessed by an internal spiral staircase and has two more bedrooms, each with queen beds and a bathroom. This level also has access out to the arched under cover roof top terrace providing an outdoor dining setting and gas outdoor kitchen which offers elevated distant water views. Property offers internal laundry with a front loading washing machine and dryer. There is also undercover secure parking for one car, with lift access to the apartment.

There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Convenient location and comfortable place.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. Very comfortable 2 nights stay with good amenities. We had to make our own beds with linen provided which didn't bother us. There is a charge to have the beds made. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything one would need including foil, cling wrap etc. The heating worked well as it was cold while we were there. The place has some wear and tear. The beds and furniture were comfortable, however the burgundy lounge could be replaced. The lock to the terrace did not work. Communication with the property manager was not possible. The number to ring took you to a call centre and I could not get any additional information from them apart from them reading what was already in the listing. Only one key was provided so we had to be extra careful.

Great stay in the centre of town

3 Nights at Nelson Bay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Apartment suit our needs and was clean when we checked in. However, it was in need of some maintenance. In particular, 2 of the bathrooms had leaks from the shower cucible. So were the curtain blinds where some were broken and fallen off.

Good location, but definitely in need of a face lift

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this penthouse is ideal, right in the heart of town. You are only allocated 1 parking spot, so you will have to pay for street parking if you have more than 1 car.The penthouse is in need of some repairs. The en-suite for the main bathroom was smelly, most of the flyscreens had holes so if you left the window open at night then you got bitten by mosquitos. There are many cracks in the walls and the lounge fabric is peeling which was not great. The water views were nice and the rooftop bbq area was good but the bbq Was not in a useable state so we did not use it. Except for the master bedroom, The bedrooms are very small and the photographs are very deceiving. We were not very happy with the condition or cleanliness of the penthouse, it definitely needs an upgrade and you cannot see that from the photos which look lovely.
