Welcome to our spacious 3,000 sq. ft. cottage-style home, where charm and convenience come together just minutes from downtown Raleigh! With 10-foot ceilings and intricate molding, this home brims with character and provides a relaxing escape close to everything the city has to offer.

Outdoors, unwind in the private wooded living space, complete with a wood-burning fire pit—perfect for cozy evenings. For those who love the outdoors, we have a newly installed bike path in front of our home and just two blocks from the 'House Creek' trail access point on the Raleigh Greenway Trail system. The new multi-use path is right at our front door, offering easy bike and pedestrian access.

The location is unbeatable! We’re close to all the essentials:

1 mile to Crabtree Valley Mall for shopping and dining
1 mile to shopping center, Food Lion/Starbucks/Chick-fil-a
2 miles to the NCSU and Meredith College campuses

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please turn thermostats to 67 in the winter months and 74 degrees in the summer
Early check-in and late check-out is allowed but may incur a $75 fee at our discretion. If our cleaning schedule requires adjustment to accommodate the change a charge will be imposed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
An additional $150.00 fee for events / parties held on the premises with owner prior approval
We reserve the right to charge a $75.00 processing fee to changes to reservations. If nights are added to a reservation there is NO processing fee
Cancellations outside the 'Firm' policy will be considered for a refund. Cancellation outside policy is subject to a $79.00 processing fee.

this was the third time we’ve stayed @ jeff and ellen’s property.it’s a fabulous place — very clean! and u will not find a better stocked kitchen in any short-term rental. if u’re going to a game or event @ pnc/lenova/carter-finley, u cant beat the location.that said — the place is on a busy street, not really walkable. but we didnt care abt that.we did care that the fireplace wasnt yet available for use on nov 1 (they turn it on in mid-nov) it might be good for the listing to reflect that. they also allowed us to arrive early (for 75), which was nice.it’s worked really well for our group of friends! hope 2 be back next football season!

Beautiful home in a nice quiet area close to everything. Jeff was a great host and the house was loaded with extras that you normally don’t find at most rentals. We will definitely rent this house again if our travels bring us back to Raleigh.

We were in town for our daughter’s engagement party being held at Lake Johnson. The home is beautiful and was a perfect fit for our group. The hosts are among the best we’ve ever had; super responsive and accommodating. Gorgeous home, responsive host!

I enjoyed staying in this beautifully decorated and meticulously cleaned home while the rain kept falling. I didn’t mind the weather, I curled up in front of the fireplace and enjoyed the windows looking out at the trees. So many great restaurants nearby that delivered. I’d love to come back in nicer weather.

Lovely woods out back

We had privacy and plenty of room to spread out. Even though the house is located on a kind of busy street and there was road construction during our stay, inside was quiet. We could view lots of trees out the back with plenty of squirrels and birds to watch. The house is close to shopping, parks and airport.

Super nice house for stay with friends.

The owner was super nice and had a great notebook about the house and instructions. Vrbo didn't send us the code but the owner was apologetic and sent it. Great house with a nice backyard and grills.

Lovely Raleigh weekend

We had an excellent time staying at this property for Duke graduation weekend. Although the house is off a main road, it was actually very quiet. Extremely well stocked with everything we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed all the space to hang out as a large family and the fire pit out back. The location was very convenient to both Duke campus and exploring the Raleigh area.

Very comfortable home

This was the second time my husband and I and our children (ages 11 and 9) stayed here for a weekend while visiting family in Raleigh. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow, the house was very clean, and the bedrooms and beds are comfortable. With two full bathrooms upstairs and a full en suite bathroom in the primary bedroom, we all had plenty of space. I recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

Great base for exploring Raleigh

Spacious and super-clean, this house was perfect for our family's stay. I worked and my two daughters attended school remotely while there and we had room to work independently and the internet connectivity didn't let us down. The location of the house was great with easy access to the beltline, downtown, shops and restaurants. Well provisioned, super communication from the owners and a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Concert Getaway

Six close friends stayed here for two nights. Friday night we drove to PNC Stadium for a concert (6 minute drive) and Saturday we toured Raleigh and hung out. This was the perfect place to stay. We were minutes from all kinds of nightlife, restaurants, shopping, etc. Property was easy to find, very spacious, clean, well stocked and everything was in working order. Out host Jeff and Ellen were very helpful with check in and any questions we had. We would love to visit again soon.

My wife and I fell in love with this property because of its architectural detail, floor plan, and proximity to city trails. Best of all, our location is just 2 blocks from the Greenway Trail. Our family loves exploring the trail network in Raleigh as well as the walkability of the surrounding neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

Very private setting with a great back porch, deck and patio. The setting feels like you are tucked in a mature forest. The two story wall of windows in the family room allows a great indoor view of the trees. The backyard is very secluded, quiet, and private.
