We invite you to stay with us at Potomac Overlook Farms. The property is 10 peaceful acres directly on the Potomac River. Rich in wildlife, greenery, amenities, and fresh air, you’ll find this to be Your Best Stay. Potomac Overlook Farms is centrally located to parks, historic small towns, wineries, breweries, farm stores, and plenty of pastoral views.

The Main House contains a Game Room, Projector Screen Movie Room, Dining Room, an Indoor Bar, a lower level Kitchenette, an outdoor Hot Tub, and a light-filled, open-concept Main Level. The expansive decks outfitted with grills, propane fire pits, and cozy chairs allow you to soak in the fresh air and river views. The Estate also contains a pool with an adjacent Tiki Hut for lazy afternoons along the Potomac River. You’ll find a shed full of outdoor games, an assortment of kayaks available for use during your stay, as well as a sports court for basketball, tetherball, and pickleball. Potomac Overlook Farms is truly a vacation destination designed to bring you closer to the ones you love.

There is also a 2 bedroom guest house available for rent in addition to your reservation. Please inquire!

Please also be advised that the Guest House may be rented to a separate party, who will not have access to the Main House you rent. Shared spaces include the parking area and grounds activities. This is ONLY a possibility during November, December, January, February, and March. All other times of the year, the entire property is occupied by only your group.

This house was the perfect setting for our holiday biannual family gathering! It was exactly as described in the listing in terms of spaces available and amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and with the pots and pans and utensils or us to cook most of the meals during our stay! Since it was winter we didn't get to use the pool which looked great for summer use but we made ample use of the hot tub and enjoyed it thoroughly. The teenagers used the movie projection room by taking advantage of the extensive DVD library! The house is in need of some minor repairs, but we reported anything in need of immediate repairs and we always we always received a quick response for any immediate needs. The hosts even shared their personal WIFI info for the hookup of a baby camera! Above and beyond and much appreciated by the deaf parents. Highly recommend this gorgeous location and wonderful house!

Gem of a property for a family vacation

This is a fantastic property for any family to stay. Great amenities, lots of little details done well by the owners. Pool is perfect, game shed is basically a sporting goods store with games and equipment, game room, proximity to Harpers Ferry, river at the back of the property. All in all a great stay and great service by Amber and team.

We had such an amazing time. Check-in was as simple as could be. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies, very clean and comfortable inside. The house had the perfect set up for our extended family and the kids LOVED the pool and game room downstairs. The owner/managers were super communicative and helpful. For example, we notified them about a wasp nest and they had someone out to the house that day to treat it. The location is beautiful, complete with adorable wildlife. It is about a 20 minute drive to get to larger stores but DoorDash does deliver to the house. We had a great time and were very sad to leave.

Amazing vacation home!

This property is beautiful. The house is spacious and has everything you could need. We were 6 adults and kids of all ages and there were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and eating space and the air conditioning worked great. The kitchen is fully stocked and there were tvs and games aplenty. But the pool and the scenery were the best part. The owners supplied so many pool toys and floaties for the kids enjoyment and the scenery is breathtaking and it was quiet and private We would definitely come back if the timing works out.

Beautiful Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our week. We have rented through VRBO every year (except Covid year) since 2013. This house was by far the most well equipped. The owners obviously thought carefully about the potential needs of a large family on vacation. They met and exceeded our expectations. Everyone loved the pool! Our fishermen were very successful so they were more than happy. The local farmers’ markets were a big hit and we enjoyed fresh produce and a couple of delicious pies.

Our best rental, yet!

Our large family has stayed in vacation rentals at least once a year for the last eight years and this one tops them all! The communication with the owner was excellent. The house was very clean, well kept and beautiful. The setting was picturesque. The house was more well equipped with kitchen items, towels, toy in the yard and pool toys, super comfortable beds, etc than any other house we have rented. It held our family of 13 very comfortably with room for more. We enjoyed the large deck with plenty of seating and a propane fire table. Lots to do in the area, as well. Thank you to Amber and Charles for providing such a wonderful place to spend with family!!

Return visit brought more fun and memories

After a stay over the summer, we returned for a september visit. We wanted to take advantage of being right on the river and getting out on the Potomac this time. Amber and team really think of all the big and small details. They provide good information links and recommendations on which landing to put the canoes in the river for a good trip. Also, the availability of the trailer hitch to allow us to transport the boats was all very helpful. We did canoeing the first day and kayaking the second day. This trip also included the grandparents. Another great time!

A wonderful family retreat

It's hard to convey the sense of peace and spaciousness you feel at Potomac Overlook. It's a wonderful place to recharge, relax, and enjoy time with family. The house is incredibly well-equipped, inside and out—small kitchen appliances, multiple BBQ grills (gas and charcoal), lawn games, pool toys and floats, kayaking equipment, fishing tackle, folding tables and chairs, portable speakers ... anything you might want in a vacation house, chances are, they have it. The owners are a phone call away and the property has a local staff to take care of any issues. Our family had a ton of questions before we arrived, and Amber answered each one quickly and kindly. During our visit, we had one or two small, random, small issues; each one was taken very seriously and addressed promptly. Charles and Amber are good people. We loved our stay and would be happy to return.

Perfect house for large group!

This property was perfect for our home away from home for our son’s wedding weekend. The wedding venue was about 20 minutes from the house which worked out so well. Every room was comfortable for every guest. The owners were very communicative and a pleasure to work with. The house was well stocked with basic needs which was so helpful. And even had unexpected extras including coffee, teas, sweeteners. The pantry was stocked with ziploc bags, plastic wrap and cooking supplies. The laundry area was also well stocked with washing needs. All of the beds, pillows, comforters were very comfortable which made for great nights sleep for everyone. The linens and towels were high quality. The property was a blast for a full house. We enjoyed the pool and spa with plenty of quality pool towels to use. Our guests enjoyed walking down to the river and exploring the property. Such a beautiful setting! I highly recommend this home for a large group!

Amazing Property with Something for Everyone

My entire family, including my siblings with families and my parents, just spent a week at this wonderful home and property. The pool was used continuousltly throughout the week by all, and kids loved the diving board. Several kayaks and canoes are available for use, which we launched at the rivers edge several times. Bring water shoes, as the river edge does have some debris and vegetation. Several matches of Pickle Ball were played, and I was unfortunately the loser! The basement with theater and games was perfect for the one rainy day we had mid-week, providing plenty of entertainment for the kids ranging from 6-19. Our family group of 17 also rented the Guest House, which I would also recommend. It has a beautiful screen porch with dining table and sitting area. Our unanimous end of week feeling was, best vacation ever! Thank you Charles and Amber for a great stay!

Perfect family vacation home and location

Apologies to Charles & Amber for this tardy review. We recently spent a week at their beautiful home (Aug 19-26). It was WONDERFUL - the perfect vacation home for the 12 of us: my wife & I, our 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 1 fiancé, and 4 grandchildren (ages 1-5). The house was gorgeous: spacious, interesting design, clean & well maintained. We loved the huge deck with plenty of cushioned seating. Spare folding tables & chairs in the hall closet meant that all of us were able to dine comfortably outside every evening. The deck was also the perfect place to sit outside with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and deer venturing out from the forest. No need to bring our kayaks! They had plenty of yaks, canoes, paddles & PFDs. The grandkids loved the Step2 Extreme Coaster for Kids, the dads enjoyed playing basketball & some serious smash-mouth tetherball, and everyone enjoyed the pool. Every bedroom was beautifully appointed. The kitchen was well stocked from counter appliances to paper goods. So much to do and see in the area: beautiful Leesburg, historical Harpers Ferry, Antietam National Battlefield, a Trappist monastery, Udvar-Hazy Center/National Air & Space Museum), Leesburg Animal Park, Raspberry Falls Golf Club. And more wineries and breweries within a 30-mile radius, that if you visited one every day, you couldn't see them all in a month. This is a well-run rental with responsive owners (they immediately responded & resolved 2 small issues). We'll be back!

Beautiful home on a beautiful plot of land

Communication was thorough during booking process and the duration of our stay. The house is just beautiful and very well cared for; clean, spacious, and well designed. There was something to enjoy for each person in my family, ages ranging from 1.5 years old to 72 years old. The property is tech savvy and equipped with voice command speakers in each room. We enjoyed the lovely pool which had floats and toys for our little ones. I could go on forever about the joy experienced playing basketball, soaking in the jacuzzi, enjoying dinner and music in the dining room, running around the gorgeous grounds, walking down by the lake… Inside this home, each drawer and cabinet held every single thing we needed and more. There seems to be no detail forgotten in this home, and we appreciated it all. Honestly, it was like staying at a resort, so there was no need or desire to leave the property during our stay. However, we did visit and delight in nearby wineries/breweries.

Our 2022 Summer Family Vacation

We had a lovely time at the property. The house was great for our family of 15. We enjoyed the pool every day and enjoyed the Bluetooth speaker system. We took canoes out one day and had a great time on the river. Our only issue was some water pressure in upstairs showers when multiple people were using baths. Even though there was an added charge for additional people over base listing we thought it was a good value.

Beautiful home on the Potomac

House is beautiful and fairly well stocked. 6 bedrooms and 5 baths meant plenty of sleeping space and no waiting for the bathroom. However, water pressure in upstairs bathroom can be an issue. Enjoyed the pool during the day, and the hot tub and fire pit at night. Was planning to fish the Potomac, but Ida (hurricane) killed those plans. Owners were absolutely the best. Attentive and responsive to every question and detail. Definitely returning in the future.

Refresh Recharge and Reconnect

This VRBO earned a 5 star rating. The hosts were easy to work with. Well appointed, they thought of everything you need. Conveniently located to quaint towns, historic sites, and Marc train for easy trip to Wash DC. After touring all day, return to a heated pool and hot tub. Really enjoyed kayak/float trip on the Potomac. This large home allowed my family to reconnect and stay safe during COVID as it’s in a private setting.

Absolutely beautiful

The property is beautiful and provides all the amenities and space for a family of 13. The grounds, pool, and blacktop activities were perfect for the kids. We even enjoyed the C&O trails which I highly recommend for those who enjoy biking/walking trails. Seeing the nature & wildlife every day was awesome surprise gift. Charles & Amber are great host and extremely responsive. They have wonderful suggestions for all ages & occasions.
