About this property

The Bunkhouse in the Pines, the Cozy Western Cabin in the Forest

Come visit our "bunkhouse", a western style private cabin (attached but separate from our barn) on 20 acres bordering the National Forest, and only 5 minutes from town. We are a private horse boarding facility, and welcome riders who want to bring their own horses and explore the wonderful trails. Hikers, mountain bike riders, golfers, and fishermen, or just a couples get-a-way, will find their ideal settings just out the back door. Located halfway between Manitou Springs and Cripple Creek, Woodland Park is a delightful mountain community with great gift shops and restaurants. Our setting is quiet and convenient!
A full kitchen is ready for your own meal preparation or eat out at one of our recommended spots. The comfortable queen bed is the same model as used by the famous Broadmoor Hotel. Starlink Wi-Fi !
No "light pollution " in our skies !
Well-behaved dogs welcome!

A perfect Woodland Park getaway!The Bunkhouse in the Pines was an absolute gem. Spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and incredibly cozy. Ms. Kathleen was a gracious host and showed us all the great trails! The Bunkhouse is lovely and we had no trouble with the amenities. Loved waking up and making coffee with Keurig. The red rocks we went to on 2 separate days because there is just so much exploration to be had there! The view of Pike’s Peak is just immaculate, and the best part is you always know where you are. Very difficult to get lost if you follow the fence line and power line, so if you have anxiety (like me) rest assured that you can always find your way back! This property is a slice of heaven!

Really cozy getaway! The hosts ensure you lack for nothing! The kitchen is large and well stocked. Plenty of "put your feet up and relax" room. For those who want a retreat, there's games, books and movies. For a home base, you're not far from some of the best adventures Colorado has to offer. My wife and i enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the wildlife and listening to the breeze flow through the pines. Will definitely recommend!

It was a cozy cabin attached to a barn on a horse ranch. the cabin itself was comfortable with everything you'd need, including cooking, baking supplies, and a few of the essentials in the fridge, the only thing that it didn't have was a laundry machine and drier. Kathleen was very nice and helpful and the cabin itself was clean and easy to find with the directions she gave.

One of the best places we've ever stayed.

We loved the bunkhouse. The location is excellent - plenty of things to do round and about the area but very peaceful. We spent happy hours relaxing and watching the garden, complete with deer visitors. It's very well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and kitchen. Lovely hosts - good advice and suggestions for things to do and very friendly. Pretty much the perfect stay!
