Heating system in lower level very loud and hard to control making it hard to sleep. On last night person sleeping in main level master bedroom woke up with about a dozen bites on her body. We think it may be bed bugs. We did inform property manager.
We immensely enjoyed our stay! It had snowed before we got there so we were treated to a beautiful view and a cozy cabin. The host was quick to respond if we were in need of anything. The cabin is not far from stores and restaurants so that helped us a lot since we had little ones with us.
Cabin setting was private and pristine, with the arrival of a family of mule deer to the site almost every morning. Aspens were in full bloom during our stay. Would love to come back with more of our extended family!
Thanks Chris!
This place is awesome! Very clean and a secluded location that was perfect for our group. We had one small issue (ran out of propane) and the host responded quickly and got us fixed up in no time! Highly recommend.
We were extraordinarily pleased with this house. Clean, spacious and in a beautiful setting. It's location allowed us to cover a lot of ground and see and do a lot of things.
Beautiful cabin. Host was very timely in his responses. Easy check in. The lower area of the cabin was cold at night, we were unable to get the heater to work. So it was uncomfortable sleeping in the lower level bedrooms. The kitchen sinks had no way of plugging the drains for cooking and cleaning. Overall loved the cabin.
We had a weekend event at Mueller State park and this house was perfect for it. 10 minutes away. The cabin is beautiful, cozy and very homey. The view of Pike's Peak from the front porch isn't too bad either! All the decor was a nice touch as well. It made it even more comfortable. And finally, the hot tub is a cherry on top. The family loved it.
Stayed here for a family vacation and had an amazing time! We had a couple questions about working the fireplace, and the host was responsive and helpful. Soaking in the hot tub was a perfect way to end a day of hiking.
Definitely plan to have a “chill” first day here, as the elevation of the cabin is over 9000 ft. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, and there’s a ton of games that kept us entertained!
Chris’s log home just outside Divide was the perfect place for our families to stay! He was very easy to connect with to make sure we had what we needed and provided a comprehensive guide book at the house.
We greatly enjoyed having plenty of space to ourselves with the large property and spacious house. We had fun sledding, soaking in the hot tub, movies and games, and making lots of wonderful memories. The location provides easy access to Woodland Park and there is a multitude of trails within a short drive which we made use of every day. We would highly recommend and will likely be back ourselves! Thanks Chris!
Great property and location. Only small blip was a leaking coffee maker!

The house was good, and the property was even better. Family went for a walk around the property and saw 3 different groups of deer. House was spacious and warm, with a fully supplied kitchen. A few negatives include: Internet was extremely slow. Hot tub was only warm. Needed more lighting. I would have appreciated the house manager's phone number like we have had in the past with similar stays. Google had a hard time with the address - pointing us 5 miles farther down the road. Overall, a good place. We definitely recommend it.
The house is warm and inviting! The location is wonderful. The house sets back off the road so you have plenty of privacy yet it's a quick drive to get to town or to the mountains or any of the sightseeing locations.
The house was clean and well appointed. The property was well kept and after 5"of snow, the property manager was super quick with getting the driveway, porches and steps shoveled off and cleared for us!
If you're seeking peace and quiet you won't be disappointed here.
A quick glance at the guest book turned us on to the Dollar Bill Game. Be sure to take a peek at the book! We found everything and made sure the game continues!!
We truly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave.
This house was the perfect size snd layout for our group of 7 sdults. It was cozy enough for us all to gather in one place, but spacious enough for us all to have privacy. We also loved the remote location and the peace that brings. Chris was very responsive to my questions about the broken dishwasher and the heater downstairs that stopped working. He was already aware of those issues, so hopefully he will be able to get those fixed soon.
Wonderful cabin in peaceful location and close to many great sites that Colorado is known for! One of the best VRBO hosts that we’ve experienced in the last decade!
We could not have asked for a more relaxing atmosphere to spend a few days exploring the area. Sitting on the front porch or in the hot tub watching the sunrise and sunset was one of the highlights of our stay. There was enough space to just relax and not feel like we were cramped. We cooked a couple of meals in the kitchen and they had everything we needed, the host was extremely helpful and communicated very quickly with us when we had questions we will definitely be back!!
